Restaurant De Dorsvlegel Review

Carpaccio was tasty. The sweetbreads had not been properly cleaned, membranes still present. Little taste too. Potatoes and chips way too greasy ...

The wagyu tasting menu taken at the price of a 100. At this price I had reasonable high expectations, these expectations are unfortunately not true. The food was okay. But certainly not amazing. The meat was not bad at all, but in spite of that I did not blow my socks again. To finish, both my and my girlfriend had a very tasty and beautifully presented dessert.

Worst service ever!!!!!! They write things on the menu and you order and suddenly they say ... we have just changed our menu. One tipp to the owner: stop your restaurant. You and you team have no clue how to handle guests!!!!

Lard bites were ok (3/5) packets of biscuits
Lobster as a starter was tasteful with herbs (4/5) was a small half lobster that had been correctly cooked.
Main course of Cote a l os Normandie was superb (5: 5). Very high-quality meat!

Service was nice, atmosphere was nice and cozy, food was great, but the dessert did take some time. All in all, I would come back here and recommend it! Lots of choice in plates too, so definitely good to return to.

Den Dorsvlegel in Nieuwkerken is the place to be for every meat lover!
This pearl in the Waasland stands for quality ... dishes that are prepared with the greatest respect for the product.
Chef Stefaan Bogaert and son Matthias Bogaert radiate passion for their profession and you can taste it! In addition, with a wine list to say the least and an extremely jovial and perfect service from Rita and team, it is always a pleasure to put your feet under the table here.

A meatlovers paradise!! Definitely a must visit place

Nice and cozy interior, friendly hostess, very good food, everything taken care of to perfection. Highly recommended.
