Rented a 5ton power tailgate to move some stuff. Truck worked great and was nice and clean. Price was reasonable. Would rent again.

Great truck rental company. We rent 5-ton trucks from them on a regular basis and their prices are very competitive. Their fleet is in a good condition as well. There are some minor issues that arise here and there occasionally, but their team takes care of everything and leaves you with a good overall experience.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

We purchased a 26' Cube truck from Penske. It came with a new CVIP (Alberta Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program). The CVIP was an inducement to purchase thereby guaranteeing the vehicle was in tip top shape.

It turns out that after only 3600km, we discovered the brakes had to be completely replaced as well as other numerous deficiencies. The brakes were actually damaged, not worn out. They were crumbling even. The repair shop absolutely stated that this damage existing far before the alleged CVIP 3600km prior. Someone could have been hurt or killed because of this. The cavalier attitude of Penske toward the seriousness of this matter is disheartening.

There is NO WAY IN HELL this vehicle passed a CVIP with all these deficiencies. 3600km is nothing.

Penske you f'up the CVIP. The absolute best case scenario is that your mechanics forgot to check the brakes, but given the other issues, that is doubtful.

Cost of repair: Over $4000.

Penske ignored my calls and emails so now we are here.

Rented a truck three months ago and received a contract confirming for our long haul move out of province. Called Tuesday to confirm and was told there were no issues. Penske called today-the day before we due to load. To tell us they no longer have a truck for us. Can't find another and now we are scrambling as we are moving for work that begins soon. Not at all impressed Penske. You will receive no recommendations from our family. Thanks for leaving us in the lurch. Why give a contract if you have no intention of honoring it???

if I could give a 0 ZERO Star review I would. 100% brutal customer service, received a call 2 days before our reservation date (for a house to house move) to tell us our rental is no longer available and had nothing to offer in place of. !!!! We were left high for our Move. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE. Never calling this company again, I suggest you don't either.

Great they have a policy not to let anyone inside because of COVID 19 but truck driver is a human too. They made me wait outside in windy cold for 2.5 hrs and didn t even care

I reserved a Uhual truck a month before I needed it and about a week before D day I received a call from them stating they could not accommodate the length of time I reserved. Livid and in a frenzy as it was prime moving days I was looking for, I called Penske. Yes, the price was higher to rent a truck, but you know what I didn't get? Smoke blown up my bum and BS. It couldn't have been easier to secure the rental. I called, made the reservation and all my requirements were fulfilled. (Which is what I thought I was doing with Uhual!) Receiving and returning the vehicle was quick and painless. I would recommend Penske to anyone needing a truck to rent. They were reliable, transaction was smooth and staff was friendly.

I recently rented a truck to move from a 1bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment. The condition of the truck was wonderful and staff were very helpful at the desk. I did run into an issue with billing but Michelle (I think is her name) did a wonderful job helping me through it. She was kind, thorough and very understanding. The prices are fair and I will definitely come back to Penske again

We've been using Penske for the last 2 years when we need more trucks on the road, and we're surprised a company of this size has such great customer service. So far trucks have almost always been available, prices are decent, and the process is super simple after the first rental.

I had excellent experience in Ontario but call in Alberta and they were quick to state that no one way rental and not out of province. They were very dismissive.

Truck was all right but the price was higher than the competition and the service left much to be desired.

Better choice then Uhaul if you are going to do many miles. Real online reservation compared to a fake one at uhaul, no hidden fees. Although the trucks are fresh, the one that I rented the last time had leaking roof and floor. Thus, when my friend and I were caught by rain, we got soaked.

Booked a truck 2 weeks before our move.... received a call the day before to let us know they didn t have a truck for us. What they offered was a discount to reschedule..... when people are moving they are usually not flexible on dates. They really need to get their online system figured out as this mistake really left us scrambling.

When u make a service call and explain exactly what's wrong and what to bring for parts and they show up without the parts u told them. Its a waste of time and very poor service.

I highly recommend this truck rental location.

I've had to call to rent a truck multiple times in Sept, Oct, and Nov 2017 and EVERY time I'm put on hold until the wait time maxes out and then it redials with no answer. It commonly took about 3 calls to actually talk to someone. I had to rent through them as the company I work for uses them or I would have gone elsewhere. They need to have someone available to take messages to have someone call them back. Extremely disappointed with this company and it's been consistent since Sept.

Have rented several times from here. Vehicle is always ready. Only overcharged once which they quickly remedied. It was because I had rented during a snow storm and didn't fill the tank. Fill up the tank and you should have no issues. Staff is always happy and professional. Highly recommend.

Rip off!

You could start by sticking with your quoted price! Not quote one price and then double it later with sneaky fees! I told you guys where I was moving, and what I was planning, and I did not deviate! One load to my intended location and back to your shop and it went $340 to almost $700! Ridiculous!
