The venue is tired and needs a total revamp...

I walked into the men's toilets today... and the stench from no auto flushing units was evident and looking further the tiles are painted and as you look around the paint is all worn away in certain areas showing they're not creme but a beige colour...

The windows facing west haven't been cleaned for some time as the view out to the ocean isn't great.

Parking signs into the venue aren't marked at all well...

Still a good place to hold a seminar though....

Great stayed in room 1804 which has a side on view of the beach. From the room you have a great view of the pool area which is located on the 10th floor. Room is big and bed is semi-comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and room service was excellent once some one answered.

The room (deluxe ocean view) was nice and newly renovated. However the pool area, tennis courts, front entrance and other common areas are a bit tired and could be renovated/ improved. Nice observation deck to view the ocean, but they could do more with it. Bar on top floor looks nice (from a distance), but exclusive to only certain rooms. The Straits restaurant for breakfast is not worth it, breakfast foods are just average and have to wait a long time for a machine to make pancakes. Also, throughout hotel, I would suggest the windows be washed regularly, as there are beautiful views but such dirty windows. This hotel has a lot of potential if work is done to the tired areas.

Breakfast very expensive, beautiful view from the room on the beach, well soundproofed. Lack of a lift - down - during the 10 days. Sign useless - duplex, the same text. Hotel 40 minutes from the center by bus. To advice !

Disgusting experience at the rendezvous. After a long wait with a slow check in process, a broken lift and a huge crowd trying to get up to their rooms we finally got to the room. The rooms are dated and in need of a good scrub. Found a huge puddle of dried up vomit on the balcony, asked to change rooms. They were apologetic and switched rooms. My daughter then found chunky vomit down the side of the arm chair in the new room. These rooms are clearly not cleaned. Disgusted by this and will never stay there again. Stay elsewhere unless you want to sleep in a room full of spew!!!
Requested a refund and left straight away.

Booked into an executive suite after hearing that the hotel had been renovated, the room itself was not bad, very comfortable bed, amazing views, but the showpiece of the bathroom was so much of a letdown, the spa bath might have been state of the art in the late 70s, early 80s when bondy built the place, but its a piece of rubbish now and should be replaced, opted for a shower, seriously could pee with more power, very very disappointed, small saving grace, breakfast was great, dont even think of touching the mini bar, the prices are enough to make your hair go white, like $9 for a bottle of water?? Its out third stay at rendezvous and the most disappointing, never even got a newspaper in the morning, needs serious upgrading to stay relevant

Great room (level 25 executive suite). A little dated and a shower door that leaked, but great sized space, beautiful views, Rendezvous club, meals and room service/housekeeping all great. Great location, lots to see and do. Beach phenomenal. Living over East now I forget how great Perth beaches truly are. We will definitely return.

'Ocean view' room was in cnr facing Fremantle and city and view of full construction site all along the coastline directly in front of Rendezvous. I would not have come until works were finished if I had of known what an eyesore it was. Food and Customer service in hotel was good.

My husband and myself attended the WA swimmer of the year awards and, we have been to many of these, but the first time at this venue, We are really pleased to say that the Hotel was a wonderful place, and the staff and the atmosphere were really lovely. It was my first visit there, and would certainly love to stay there on the a holiday, it would be very relaxing, and casual or just enjoying the area would be lovely to discover. Would recommend to anyone, looking for a stay. In perth.

The grossest toilets, long black hair on the ground, useless staff, decor of a post communistic police station. Nobody that works there knew nothing. Bar staff on the phone or talking how much they hate working on Sunday. The only good part was the onion rings from dome inside, And the
Amazing girl that works there. Yuck. Gross and poorly managed. It should have minus 5 stars.

Very good view to the ocean, close to beach, bars, and supermarket. However, the room service was not exactly high quality. We stayed for 5 nights and the glasses were not replaced over the first 3 days. I left a note and asked for clean ones. And guess what, surprisingly Scotch glasses were switched with bathroom glasses!!!!!! I'm pretty sure as I knew stains of each glass.

Slow frustrating check in, same again when we extended. Same staff member so maybe she was new but should have said so, cause it was pretty average service. Everything else terrific tho, very reasonable price for a nice beachside hotel with loads to do on yr doorstep.

Recently stayed here at the Rendezvous in Scarborough, right on the beach front we had an ocean view room and was fab sitting on the balcony watching the sunset... Pool area is great however the only down fall
Is the selection of drinks around the pool virtually non existent and no beers on Tap... Beds are comfy and breakfast is good... 4 stars

Hotel location is ideal for a short walk to the beach, well overdue for a refurbishment though. The staff were mostly helpful & polite, but some were too casual & didn't mind keeping customers waiting while chatting between themselves.
Overall, enjoyed the experience but would prefer a more modern fitout, rather than the tired look at present, especially for the prices.

Staff are helpful and great. Same issue as 10 years ago! Checking in at 3pm is terrible as you get there at 3 and wait in line for 45 minutes like I m in Bali! Then you have 1-2 hours of sunlight to finally relax.
