Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland Review

Great hotel, I quite like it. Is not expensive for what they offer. Of course there are cheaper places but not as good as this one. The room is quite big honestly, and probably the most important thing when thinking about hotel rooms is that it has a super comfy bed, and of course, it looked super clean. If I have to recommend a hotel in Auckland, the Grand Millennium will be the one. ;)

Great location and well presented rooms. Pity about the view though.

Rooms were clean, Staff were friendly My only gripe was how far away our room was to the lifts plus Wifi dropped off as soon as we got to our room.

Nice place. Bar service could have been sharper though.

The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and Wi-Fi is fast and the rooms have wired internet.

I had an amazing experience here!! Every move and meal was seamless here especially through Kayle and Nardos-they were not only amazing and fun but they also gave great tourist advice! Would come back here 10/10 thanks to Kayle and Nardos!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay on 12th floor. I last stayed here when it was the Rendezvous. I always love walking into the foyer. Our room was huge and comfortable. Our meal at Katsura was excellent and the breakfast was varied and delicious. Thank you for the nice touches you provided as it was my birthday. Thank you so much.

Went there for nye. Good nye package $75nzd per person with buffet drinks and food. Never had so many oyster, yummmm. Big room, overall interior decor is a bit old fashioned. Nice view of Auckland fireworks. Would recommend for nye in Auckland.

Great hotel close to everything, very helpful staff, hotel very clean and amazing beds.

I have enjoyed my stay so much. One thing the highlight of my trip was Chris, he was the receptionist who checked me in. I believe you are doing your job with your whole heart and passion. Thank you so much for going extra mile for my personal problem and helping me come out of it. I wont ever forget this place and I am so glad I choose this hotel . The environment created by employees is so homelike from the door till the end. Will recommend to everyone worth every penny.

We stayed in a Club room and it was massive! Quality of hotel is superb and staff are extremely helpful.

Large room and bathroom with good temperature control

Friendly staff and nice place. The hotel is a bit dated but it has its charm from the '80. The room we had was very clean and still good looking, comfortable bed and 7 pillows to choose from! We had a food and drink voucher with our Grabone deal and the wait was extremely long but they offered us free drinks as a make good gesture. We'll be back.

I wonder why people give this place 5 stars. Services were really bad. When I first arrived with my car with my family, no one came to take our luggage for us or ask for my car key. After we have checked in and put our luggage into our room, whilst we came out of the hotel the manager came and said you should have given us the key. Well no one even bothered to ask us right? I saw many other guest arriving on this hotel struggling to drag their heavy luagge out of their car. While their staffs were inside the hotel doing who knows what .
If you look at other 3 star or one star reviews for this place you see many people complaining about staffs standing around and doing nothing while their customers struggles with their luagge

Meets with Mellenniums worldwide standards in every way but for the gargling room toilets backing up and the inability to fix them in 4 days then we left. Reception staff really good, breakfast too. Not sure about the baked eggs though.

Great Hotel very clean, friendly staff and fantastic location

Although the shop was old, the room was kept very good and comfortable. It is just a few minutes from the airport bus terminal.

Wonderful stay here for our time in Auckland. While traveling back from Tonga, there was a mix-up in the booking and the hotel was understanding and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and a welcoming retreat after exploring the city and visiting family.

For the price, this hotel is great and delivers tremendous value. It s not the flashiest or newest hotel but it s sheer size is impressive. Location is slightly further outside of the downtown area than I would like for easy access to the wharf or main attractions.

Was easily able to get an early check-in which was quite appreciated. One of the least expensive Expedia VIP Access Hotels which delivers some nice perks like a NZD $24 food and beverage credit per stay. Really wished this was per night rather than the whole stay. Utilized this for a set breakfast on one morning which was quite tasty and with quick service.

Hotel staff is friendly and they are very responsive over Expedia. Rooms are pretty large and clean. Bathrooms were huge with both a shower area and bathtub. Daily cleaning was quick and efficient. Pool area is a bit lacking with a tiny pool and the outdoor area is not very appetizing with the sun shining directly overhead. Needs more areas that are covered or a pool outside.

Beautiful place...great service... but need to sell Heineken.... and hard to use lifts

Attended a conference June 2013 hosted at this hotel. Very enjoyable stay, the room was good, bed comfortable. Great location - easy walking distance to heaps of interesting shops and activities.

I found the breakfast buffet very nice (don't understand some reviewers complaining about the food!)

Accomodation was excellent but the brasserie food was really average and took forever. Considering there were only four other tables occupied.

Loved my experience here. Staff we very accommodating and were willing to assist with everything. Easy check in and out. Room was a good size and the bed was super comfortable. Close proximity to shops and the wharf area. Would recommend this hotel.

Our room was lovely. Staff are great. Cheap parking - $20 a day. Central. Walk to everything. $8 taxi to vector or waterfront.
Breakfast could be better. Same old tired choices.

Accommodation was great value venue for conference was far to cold Evening meal was amazing breakfast not so.

It's a 5 star from me.. a very clean and quiet hotel. Even though close to the police station, you barely hear the sirens. The beds are very comfy and amenities very great. The food is very delicious too. Great location because you are right in the heart of Auckjand. Very amazing... worth staying here ..

Great place to stay. Walking distance or buses to loads of places... Civic, Sky Tower, waterfront. Clean room. Everything you cd want. Meals lovely. Breakfast great... Again any sort of breakfast you cd want. In the evening we went up to the bar. If you come across AYUSH the wait person you are in for a treat. Very attentive, sense of humour and looked after us very well. A real asset to their staff.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Good location. Decor a bit dated but still lovely. I did find the the bed to be really uncomfortable that I hardly slept (but I'm also pregnant so could have been a contributing factor). Pool was great after a bad nights sleep.

Rooms a bit dated. Aircond was noisy. On the plus side, good location, parking available on site,bed was very comfy. Simon at the front desk was very professional and accommodating.

Seen better days. Don't turn on the air con/ heating - it takes an hour to wind down and sounds like a rocket.

Look.. This place is great although, right now I'm in managed isolation for COVID. I'm confined to my room but hey, the meals are great, the wine from the hotel store is delicious, the Xbox plugs straight in and plays (my boys are happy). One day is like to come back for a proper visit... One where I can actually leave the premises.

Took IELTS speaking test here. Good atmosphere. Would like to try in future.

Really nice property with great amenities. The breakfast buffet is decent, but gets busy around 830. This property does not offer complimentary shuttle to Auckland Airport, but you can hire one for about $17.50 NZD. Overall a quality stay.

Great service, mostly. Shame about noisy construction site directly out front of room window. Staff did not check request for quiet room.

Great service, good quality rooms at a decent price. Well worth it for proximity to Aotea Square if you're in town for an event there.

Great service, we usually stay here when we come to Auckland... Easy to park nice and close to town. The check out procedure can be alittle tiresome especially if you have to get on with your day.

The location is relatively close to downtown Auckland. The entrance is an open-air space with an impressive structure. The room was comfortable although it had some seasons.
