Very unprofessional!
They would give you shifts in the morning, for example at 7am and then cancel your shifts while you re on you way to the job or they would randomly cancel your shift. Also very rude staff to work with as well, I was told my shift finished at 11 and I had to stay 3 more hours until the event finished and the manager got very angry when I told him I couldn t stay and didn t even let me finish off what I had to say, he just told me to go away and how he didn t want to listen.

You are not a waitress in this job, like they said you would be, only in events. You would be polishing majority of the time, all plates and cutlery none stop.
I applied for a new job which recommended a reference, this agency wasn t able to hand me one, when at the interview they said they can do references. Either lazy or just lied. I also had a 9 hour shift on Sunday, I worked 9 hours on Saturday and I ended up feeling very sick by the time I finished, therefore I ended up texting my manager at night letting them know and apologies for not being able to attend the next day. I then received a message in the morning, saying how they didn t want me working for them because of the fact I didn t go in, when I was actually very unwell and didn t even allow me or give me the chance to show them proof, until I called them back.

Renard helped me to get on my feet after moving to London, really easy and quick getting work and they are always happy to help out if I am looking for extra shifts to earn extra cash for my holidays..Big thanks to Nelson as he has always been here if needed, always on call, doesn't matter when if it's weekend or not! Plenty of shifts if you actually want to work!

3 years I have work with the agency and I am so satisfied with friendly and supportive people, professional organizations and payment services. Thank you!

One need to scroll down a little bit before coming across a long list of One Star reviews for this company. They are utterly unprofessional. They think big but, in reality, they are somewhat short sighted with blinkers on their eyes and with little experience about people and work placement. Their ideal candidate would be 24 years old, graduated, with 15 years experience worldwide, born on a Sunday with a full moon and ready to start tomorrow. They cannot calibrate people on their real potentials as obviously they know nothing about what jobs really entail. Not sure if they are at all capable of reading CVs! Anyone of you - you are better off asking friends or apply for vacancies directly on line. Stuck up lot that deserve no customers.

I had the opportunity to do an internship for a couple of weeks in the company. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the Team which is important for me. During the time I knew the company better and how they work.

If you are trying to find a full-/ part-time job contact them and they will help out. Whether you look for jobs as a waitress or as a kitchen porter. Just contact them and find out.

I had no prior experience with agencies so was quite naiv. Applied for a barista role advertised by them, was called for an interview but turned out they just wanted me to register, sign a contract and other documents straight away, offering temporary jobs at events without guaranteed hours. With years of experience in hospitality, I was looking for a permanent position and of course turned them down. They seemed to take advantage of those who have just arrived to London and are hoping to get a proper job.

For me, Renard Resources was the best choice. The best choice for my first step in my career. During 1st year of uni, I needed flexibility in terms of working hours and a workplace where I can develop my skills and gain new ones. With Renard, I had all of these. On the other hand, I would like to call Linda and Nelson, as the Renard Resources' s ANGELS. They were so patient, kind and helpful. Any issues we had, it was already sorted out.

Renard is a very professional company. The registration for the temporary process is easy and simple being online. The team is helpful and keep the communication clear sending text reminders and briefing via email. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Great Hospitality Agency, so many choices to work, flexible shift and hours. Nelson and Linda is the best for registration or any kind of shift related help.

My experience with Renard was good. Dealing with Nelson and Linda was easy and they were always helpful. The shifts are flexible and you can choose. They value your performance and offer you more opportunities to work if the feedbacks of the companies about you are positive. I definitely recommend it!

The worst agency i have ever worked. They have got only 3 clients in hospitality and only preferable one is Roosewood. They didn't pay my holiday pay fully. Finally, during lockdown, when every agency was supporting by furlough their temporary staffs, they didn't even communicate me. I tried to get in touch but neither Isabella nor Nelson replied me.

Renard agency is definitely worth a recommendation. Specifically Nelson and Linda who had been very professional and helpful as well as caring for their employees.

Don't apply to work, we were all forced to by uniform we didn't need or use. You will work longer hours than you are told and we were ignored completely and weren't told if we were still employed. Also depending on were you work one the managers you work with is verbally abusive.

Very Bad So Unprofessional and Rude too

I was asked to join they're induction at the Covent Garden office
From 13:00 till 17:00 with a 15 min break around 15:00
I arrived first then me and at least 10 others were in this little training room, we have been giving the usual papers to fill in with Details and our Availability for the following week
Then the trainer walks in and hands us 2 sheets as a test to fill in and we all just keep it aside..
The training begins and it consists on how to lay a table and open a Bottle of Wine
Although they have your C.V and can clearly tell weather you have enough experience or not to skip this part you still need to attend the whole thing, wich is cool if you have "5 hours" to spare for free
At 5pm when it was soppose to be over we are still trying to get to the end of it
The test sheets still haven't been checked, as he starts reading out the questions he realises that he gave us the wrong ones so we have been answering to the Chefs tests about Food handling wich i agree someone could have said something but as i have been working front of house for over 8 years in some of the Best 5 star hotels in London i didn't find it so unusual for a test like that to be put in place as in a way you still are handling food
So we are now asked to cancel our plans for at least the next hour is 6pm we are still there ...
We all finish and some of the people who are either been a week in the country or a week in the Industry are booked for jobs, the ones with a big C.V aren't ...
A week goes by and i get a last minute job offer around 2pm to be on site at 17:30 and start at 6pm at the Hamyard Hotel, only untill 22:00 i accept and go
At the Venue i find some good people and have a smooth and enjoyable service
I get offered full time position and paid many compliments from the Manager i decline the full time position but i tell him to get in touch with the agency and book me in through them
He mentions that they have an event the day after so first thing in the morning i message Titus at the agency and tell him how nice they were and how i'd like to go back there he messages back saying they are not busy that week but they might be in a couple of weeks i then have the confirmation of how unprofessional they are, he asks me for my availability anyway and i mention that is all on the sheet i'v filled in for them during the induction day in those 6 and a half hours i was there ( they obviously don't value your time at all)
Anyhow one week goes by after the shift at the Hamyard and i still didn't get paid i call them up and Titus is rude over the phone and doesn't solve the problem at all
Then 3 weeks go by still haven't got paid and bare in mind they say they'l pay people every friday at 3pm the latest
Is Monday morning around 9am i decide to send an Email with Cc to all the contacts i have been giving and asking for the money to be in the account by this same afternoon
I receive a call is Titus being rude over the phone again but said he will look into it

Is 12 now i have received an Email saying the money will be in this Friday so it will then be over a month and i also was no longer contacted so who ever is using the staff from this agency know that the most experienced ones are not getting called because they are probably to expensive for them (10an hour max) but you are instead getting people that i saw in that same training room struggle to take 2plates at a time or remember where to position the food or even open a bottle of wine and you are most likely still paying them 10 an hour for that help

Stay away.

The worst agency by far. They make up excuses just to hold down your pay. I haven't been paid for over 2 weeks now and no one seems to even care. They just want to use you. Don't waste your time with them.

Absolutely awful company, treat their employees like rats, and work on the basis of quantity over quality. Being an ex employee, I can honestly say I was driven to having a panic attack by a renard leader working in Ham Yard hotel, then got blamed by the company. I'd also be sent to places where they'd cancel on the day., and not even travel costs where covered, never mind being paid for the day I'd given my time up for. Awful, awful company.

Flexible, reliable and friendly. Suffice to say that after speaking to Rob and Lewis about the role I eventually accepted and am about to start, I felt reassured that I was in good hands. They sold the role to me like no other : ) which only shows that they are good at their job and know what they are doing. The moment I stepped out of their office I was already excited and couldn t wait for the next step. They have constantly been in touch, before and after my interview with my employer, always available for any questions or queries I had, no matter the time.
I felt confident in sharing all my concerns and questions about a future role, along with all my expectations, which they have acted upon with professionalism and reassured me at all times that it was absolutely realistic and normal, which helped a lot throughout the entire looking for a job process.

Really bad and unprofessional. I called agency. Spoke with GORGINA who deals with (temp/hospitality). She was meant to send me a email regarding what documentation to bring to register with the company. Called again spoke with her collegue. Didnt receive no emails.

Next day i go for REGISTRATION. She takes my passport, No explanation why she did. Once she came back. We went into A room, And then she says i will have to come tommorow for assessment. Ontop of that she asked me to shave my beard. Lol. So i asked her BLUNTLY, did i just waste my time coming here. So u could just see my passport when i could have emailed it over Or brought it on the assessment day. I feel Sorry for the OWNER OF THIS COMPANY. You have built such a good platform. And your staff are being LAZY and DISLOYAL.

As a mystery shopper for recruitment agencies. This has to be one of the worst of trying to register with the agency.

Really looked after here. I had never gone through a recruitment agency before but the process was great and the after care was an unexpected surprise. Lewis looked after me and set me up with a great venue.

Great team, real people focused, always available and trying to help, especially Isabella. Ive been working whit renard since July 2017 till present as a KP. They always pay weekly and on time. And there is it always plenty of work over there. Specially Andrea its kind and always attends you whit his best effort. There are some minor mistakes from time to time , but we are all human so we all make mistakes. But anyways it was good to work for them and they were actually helpful.

An agency that is truely trying to help and one can be certain in their support, especially in busy seasons. Many thanks to the great team and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Recommended agency to anyone who is passioned to work in high end hospitality. The company offers to choose your own working schedule according to your availability so would suit people who are looking for a side job as well as full time hours. I had a chance to experience some of the greatest and prestige events around London and was always treated with respect and care, the FOH team were always there to answer my questions at any time of the day. I must admit that the experience living in London would not be the same if I would not have joined Renard as I have made many good friends from all over the world and gained a great working experience, not mentioning that weekly pay helped me to cover my expenses much easier. Very happy working for Renard as an agency chef. Professional and friendly consultants. I would recommend to anyone.

They are not very well organised, keep sending you reminders, which is good, but then ask for confirmation and reconfirmation. They ask for your availability, but they are not really looking at it. Some of their clients can be a real pain, rude and very abusive, sometime not only verbally. Because they are The Client they think it is all right to treat you like slave. I am not sure what their agreement with their clients is, but this is 21st century, not 19th. The pay is very low. Avoid if you can.

We used Renard to recruit a manager. The terms of the contract stated that if the placement falls through within 8 weeks they will return 50% of the fee. This is what happened to our firm. We advised Renard that the employee had left. Renard, despite confirming by email that we were entitled to half our fee back, refused to return it and still have not returned it.

Undoubtedly one of the best agencies to work with in London. Pay rate is very competitive and communication is seamless. With Renard I have had the opportunity to work across different 5 star properties in London and also experience a variety of VVIP events. The management team at Renard are extremely friendly and efficient, esp Nelson and Linda. I have greatly enjoyed working with them and hope to do continue doing so for a long time as the flexibility they offer is perfect for my lifestyle. Overall, a fantastic place to work with whilst learning new skills.

Decent agency but they send me to locations that I specifically ask not to be sent to.

Also, their pay is too low and they are extremely persistent. Sorry, not sorry, but calling people 5am in the morning every day is NEVER acceptable, ever. In fact it is incredibly annoying.

I also remember the workers at Ham Yard saying that they don't like this agency and that's hardly surprising.

I recommend going to an agency that allows YOU to pick YOUR own shifts instead, it's far more convenient.

This company gets you to really nice places, you meet amazing people along the way. They give you nice training (shoutout to Neil) so you are ready for the job.
As to the booking of the shifts, Nelson and Linda will take care of everything for You. It is very flexible, amazing job for students.

Shady as hell agency, a lot of the roles they advertise are barely existent, like host, etc. I feel like they're just collecting your data and never contact you again!

I have been workin with Renard since November 2018, Nelson and Linda always treated me right and very respectful. 10/10!
