I went to this hospital after I had broken my leg, although I had a lot of pain they said it was only a bruise ... a few days I went back because the pain was unbearable and the answer from the hospital of halle was that I ordered and had to go back home ... a week later it went worse and I went to another hospital and she told me that I was walking around with a broken leg all the time. In short, the worst hospital in Belgium, wonder where these doctors have graduated, arrogance at the top but not knowing anything about their job.

Terrible administration, we need 1 paper that takes no longer than 2 seconds to make and it just doesn't work. Tomorrow I will call for the 11th time. Everyone pushes the responsibility away from them, but in the end we do not get any further, certainly not acceptable

I would not recommend Dr Jan Gutermuth (dermatology). Not being conventional is one thing, but 80 for a consultation of 15 minutes at most? But according to him, the most impressive ... blood test results were all right ... until I requested the results from the hospital to be able to discuss with another doctor. The blood test simply failed because the blood was clotted. What are you doing when, as a doctor, you say that everything was fine while you had no results at all !? Not OK. I would certainly not recommend him.

Quick care given the case, but, during auscultation, the doctor asked us pq we have not been to Tubize! (Not knowing that the Tubize emergency room has been closed for a while).
Refuses to speak French (fortunately I am bilingual).
Ask the origin of my partner (a little too tanned, I suppose)
Gross auscultation, without just explanations of the assumptions!
Blood test received, without explanation.
So = racist, incapable, ...

My father-in-law operated for 87 years by Dr. Valvekens Evert.
Doctor Valvekens is a great asset to Halle hospital.
Top care and certainly aftercare with clear and very friendly explanation from doctor and entire medical staff.
We are going to have a nice Christmas with the family, thank you from the Van De Kerckhove family.

Super expensive hospital. And at 35 degrees the evening meal is refused you get 1 bottle of water of 50cl not even cold, in 24 hours. Arrogant nurses who question your word as a patient. No showers, no air conditioning, broken fridge in rooms and super stingy in terms of medication. But to send you a bailiff for 10euro, they are very fast. Operated twice and in the end it appears to be getting worse. 1 golden tip avoid this hospital because you will get worse.

0 zero, I arrive ill after calling for a covid test with a prescription from my general practitioner, but you need a prescription from a Flemish doctor to do a test at home. no wonder belgium has the highest death rate.

2 years ago, during my mother's hospitalization there was a famous twist in the coordination of news. Now my father spent 3 weeks there and nothing has changed. Admitted to the emergency room, it took me 1 week to hear from the doctor who was treating him. In the meantime, he was in the hands of nurses who certainly came from the Inquisition (he must take his medication with coffee, we leave him naked for 1 hour. We remove his meals when he has not been able to eat since he had care) Fortunately, they are not all like that. Thank you to our ministers who are closing our hospitals and cutting staff like this, everyone is nervous. We just have to reduce the number of ministers who never worry them. Will we still be able to treat ourselves in the near future? It is the only hospital where you do not have to fill out a form for a satisfaction survey, you have to believe that they are not interested in improving.

Very rude and not the name URGENT worthy I had been with my son because he had a lot of problems with his abdomen.
After 30min, one of the emergency doctors said that the waiting time could go up to 2 hours because there was an inteterventie with the mosquito for which I certainly understand, but the way he spoke to us was very arrogant. o. v the people. I'm sorry I do not think Mr. Dejonckheere will laugh at this

Staff not always friendly (flamingan) and the waiting room 12 of the sector D is insupportably noisy because of the ventilation. Unpleasant cafeteria staff. And the toilets visitors really lack hygiene I made 3 and all full of excrement on the telescope ...

I am not a person who would write bad reviews but I still have to type this.

My father used to have huge heart problems, for which he had 2 surgeries. So he had none.
Recently, unfortunately he had another attack with his rhythm, so we went to emergency.

Arrived at 1.20 pm, it was soon enough for us. They take blood, and everything else until now everything is fine.
The Cardiologist went to visit.
We have been waiting there in the emergency department until 9 PM! The emergency man had to call the cardiologist 3 times to ask him to come over. His answer? "I have forgotten this and will not come again. He will have to wait until tomorrow."

Very angry but still, they give my father a room in the cardiology department.
He had to stay there for 3 days. After 3 days a cardiologist (not my father his cardiologist) comes and he is missing from file. My father can go on ever, but without knowing what he has he still gets medication or anything.

They give him an urgent appointment with his cardiologist 4 weeks after his hospitalization.

I was very happy with this hospital, but lately this has gone down a lot. They also forget that many French speakers (including my father) go there, so bilingualism or at least making an effort would be pleasant, especially if French speakers try to speak in Dutch.

Hopefully this will improve enormously, because this hospital is getting worse over the years. Sadly

Have a hernia is all they said

Have a hernia is all they said
You have a hernia we can't do anything but go home still have a lot of work.
Without painkillers nothing if I could give less than one star I would definitely do this

By far the worst hospital that I have been to. This place needs serious changes in terms of how their patients are handled:
It is not just me, as the population of Halle in general seems to agree with me in this. There are just too many cases the patients feeling disrespected by the staff.
The doctor that attended me made humiliating remarks about my accident in front of other patients.
I felt a lot of pain and the nurses told me that my complaint means nothing since I do not know what real pain is (they compared me to a child, and said that if only I knew what giving birth felt like I wouldn't be annoying them about my broken hand).
The man that shared the hospital room with me peed himself during the night and the nurses only changed his bedsheets 3 hours later, because they believed that he was too needy, and that they do not "deserve to be his babysitter".
I had to reschedule my second appointment, and since the hospital did not inform my doctor about it, he expected a personal apology for me not having contacted him about it, while it was the hospital's duty to inform him.
I met the anaesthetician prior to my surgery to explain that I have a history of bad experiences with anaesthetics, that before going numb I feel excruciating pain. He asked me to describe the pain, and I said that it feels like being hit until I go unconscious, and he laughed at me, saying that nobody will hit me, asking, "Do you really think that I will hit you?".
Of course, I am moving to a better place, where I can be attended with respect. (Leuven, or Erasme, I've been treated normally there).

Walking out of the hospital I offered some random lady to carry her bags, and told her about my experience. She raised eyebrows, said that she will never go again there, and then told me a few stories of the hospital herself: she arrived in emergencies with her child who had broken a collar bone. She didn't speak flemish, and the reception lady told her that they would not take in the child if she did not make an effort to communicate in the right language.
Then in her late pregnancy (second child) she was again at the hospital. She started bleeding heavily during the night. The other patient sharing the room with her called the nurse, and by the time the nurse arrived, she was scared that her baby might not survive. The nurse told her that if she didn't have time for such drama, and that if she wished to be helped, she'd have to be patient, again until a doctor be available in the morning.

The point is not whether the baby lived or not, but the way that we are treated to while in these very fragile situations. It should case that we arrive in need of help, they provide the help, we pay, and then go home. Isn't it bad enough to have to go to a hospital, and then to go on with our lives while waiting to recover? Instead, at Halle, the staff shows offence if not praised highly enough for their work, and will very likely turn your stay/consultation into a test of self control, morality, and perseverance, in showing nothing but a constant feel of insult by your needs as a patient.

I was hospitalized twice in AZ Sint-Maria and each time the nurses, doctors and surgeons (L. Kempeneers, T. De Sutter) were very skilled and showed that they cared about their patients. At least in the departments I was in: emergency, intensive care and surgery.

So based on my personal experience I would recommend this hospital, I can also recommend Saint Anne in Molenbeek, especially Neurology, Doctor E. Raucq.

Friendly staff, apparently the most expensive hospital in the region, but certainly taking good care, which is the most important. My 2 kids were born here on maternity, which has a very good reputation.

Very happy with the emergency services of this clinic for 4th or 5th time,
Very knowledgeable and despite being French speaking, all the service staff explain exactly what is going on and what will happen next.
My wife having been for the 3rd time hospitalized, I make the door spokeswoman to say that the doctor Veranneman Pneumologist and the nurses of the 2nd stages
listened and that the care and services were good. Thanks again to the doctor and his team my wife was in room 268. To locate the service this clinic being very big.
Thank you to all the hospital staff without forgetting the reception and secretarial service.

Already experienced a lot in this hospital, certainly not suitable for older people who are alone. Are treated as 'finished'. Both with our mom and my sister-in-law, luckily we were there to stand up for them!

Sint-maria hospital Halle it is not that bad yet there is very friendly staff they help you very well but it is way too expensive but you have to wait a long time for the emergency because you sometimes have to wait too long for the doctor

I went to this hospital because my 3 years old son had a lot of pain in his belly. They made an x ray, they said he is constipated and I could go home. They told me to make him drink orange juice and come back for an echo if it doesn't get better. 4 hours later he puked and he was still in great pain so I went back and the same doctor was still there. Without making any more tests he gave him a medicine to prevent puking then told me to not give him any fruit (the other doctor even tried to deny the fact that they told me to give him orange juice) and then they said I could go home. They wouldn't have given me the prescription for the medicine if I didn't asked for it. They didn't perform any blood test and nobody even touched my son's belly all this time!

Never seen

Never seen
I had an appointment with Dr. Daneels because I fell and in the emergency he put a splint
So I'm going to this appointment ...

After the nurse has removed my splint The doctor hardly looks at my arm and says it's not blue it's not swollen
To which I answer that it is still inflated part compared to the other arm and blue to some place
He made me plaster after my complaints because yes I was wrong -_- (already or are we seeing this? The patient who chose to have a plaster or not?)
So all this for a total amount of 109 to pay immediately and in cash please
I explained to him that I did not have this money on me and asked if it would be possible to make a transfer? That he send me the bill at home (as in all hospitals except that apparently)
This was a categorical no without the possibility of getting my papers for further examination (scintigraphy) if I did not pay the full 109 immediately.

I had to leave the hospital Go get the money to the nearest bancontact to come back to pay this "doctor" who did absolutely nothing
Frankly I would not go back to this hospital it's on

Some doctors are very good but the hospital is bad. Appointment at 2 p.m. and at 3 p.m. (they had let retired patients arrive one hour early for me). You see that they have to make savings: too few and too light staff and too weak information passed on to patients.
