I rarely take the time to place a review. I would be crazy not to take the time in this case. I don t have enough words to describe how wonderful Dr Chilicuri is! I honestly would give Dr. Chilukuri 10 stars if I could do so. For those of you who want to try cosmetic enhancement but are a little afraid or intimidated, I understand. I took a big step out there to find someone that I would trust to help enhance my appearance. At 56 yrs, I know that I am aging but would like to do so gracefully. While I don't want to try to look 20 yrs old, I really want to capture some of the beauty I had in my face when I was younger. Its also confusing to understand what products to use on my face daily.
I asked for Dr. Chilukuri's help after seeing how he worked with other women. His approach is very different than other professionals. He truly seeks to enhance your belief of beauty and not to sell products. In fact, he won't do anything that anything that will detract instead of enhance your appearance. He looks at the entire you and notices how you wear your hair and makeup which reflects our inner sense of beauty. THEN he works to enhance the features that bother you. I trusted his good judgement, technique, delicate touch and experience.
I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED!! I work around people who easily detect esthetic services people get on their face. But the subtle changes by Dr. Chilukuri made me look healthy and happy. Its about looking bright-eyed but not frozen or tired. I am AMAZED by the subtle changes in my cheeks and jawline that were making me appear more sad or tired.
MOST of all, I am shocked at how the subtle enhancement in my features have so impacted by emotional well-being. I FEEL more beautiful. Dr. Chilukuri is the absolute best, I would never go anywhere else. His knowledge about face structure and filler is unbelievable, he teaches all over the world. He is so kind and takes the time to learn about what you want and is also very conservative about how much filler goes in, he always says that I will never "look weird on his watch" and he is right, it is all about looking "refreshed" just like the name of his practice.

Let me preface this review by saying this is my first ever online review. My excellent experience with Refresh Dermatology and Dr. Suneel Chilukuri has compelled me to do so.

To give you some background, for the last 15+ years I have been afflicted with a stubborn skin condition called rosacea. For those of you who do not know, rosacea is a mild to severe facial redness usually located on the cheeks, nose and sometimes neck (think President Bill Clinton and Prince William) that is prone to painful, burning flair-ups. Though there is no cure, it is most often treated with a dermatologist by controlling these flair-ups with topical creams/ointments and oral antibiotics. Thankfully the condition is not life threatening, however it is extremely uncomfortable both physically and mentally-- physically because of the pain and mentally because I always felt self-conscious often catching myself looking away from whomever was speaking to me.

Through a recommendation of a friend and some additional online research, I sought another opinion from Dr. Chilukuri. He suggested using an IPL (intense pulse light) specifically the ICON MaxG and MaxY photo facial. This technology he said will greatly minimize the redness and in many cases, make the redness unnoticeable. Though it may not be a panacea, he was quite convinced that this treatment would greatly help my rosacea. I certainly was interested, so I set up a treatment date.

I arrived about an hour before our scheduled appointment time so that Dr. Chilukuri could apply topical anesthetic to my face and neck to greatly reduce the pain during the procedure. At the appointment time, the technicians under the direction of Dr. Chilukuri, applied the IPL to my skin for about 15 minutes. I felt minimal and certainly tolerable discomfort. The best analogy I can make for what I felt was similar to popping a rubber band against your skin. Following the procedure I was noticeably red with some swollenness, but I was assured by Dr. Chilukuri s staff that this was quite normal and expected. I was given several topical creams to apply to my face twice a day with instruction to call the office if I had any concerns.

By the next day, though still swollen on my face and neck, the redness from the procedure was greatly lessened. By day three, the swelling was gone and the redness was probably on a scale similar to a bad rosacea flair-up. From that day on, the redness slowly lessened and by the two-week mark, if I stared long enough, I could faintly see some redness on the areas that had been affected by rosacea in the past.

As I write this review, just past three weeks since the procedure, I cannot see any redness whatsoever. It is absolutely amazing. My topical ointments and antibiotics that were used to control my rosacea in the past, have now been placed to the back of my medicine cabinet. The only thing I apply to my skin and neck are a nightly moisturizer and a daily sunscreen.

I cannot express in words how happy and life changing this treatment has been for me. In the past when I got up in the morning and looked at myself in the mirror, I would ask myself, how bad is my skin going to look today. Now I look at myself with great confidence and can only smile.

Dr. Chilukuri and his staff at Refresh Dermatology are awesome. I've been doing the microneedling treatments with them and my skin has never looked better. Small fine lines are disappearing with each treatment. Dr. Chilukuri also fixed some previous filler for me that was done improperly at another office. He's an expert at injectables and really focuses on achieving a natural outcome. I even brought my Mom to see him to freshen up her look with fillers/Botox and she looks fantastic. I'll never go elsewhere for anything related to facial cosmetics or skincare. I especially love that they have the latest technology in laser as well as body contouring machines for fat reduction. It's really one stop shopping for all your beauty needs :)

My initial visit with Dr. Chilukuri (over a year ago) was to address and correct a botched botox injection from another provider. Dr. C corrected the terrible "Spock brow" effect and restored both symmetry and softness to my brows and face. Now that I have experienced some volume loss in my mid/late thirties, I have also had a c-lift procedure, lip augmentation (filler only) and ongoing touch-ups of both hyaluronic acid fillers and botox. He and his team are always extremely friendly and efficient, and my visits are always very pleasant and highly beneficial. The amazing thing is that though the procedures may sound like a "bit of work" to some, no one knows unless I tell them. I speak to large audiences within my professional network regularly. When I woke up this morning, the first day after my C-Lift was performed by Dr. Chilukuri, for the first time in my life I liked the image of my face without makeup in the mirror. This is huge for me, because I am one of those women who do not leave the house without any makeup and who do not like the way they look without makeup. Even my 6 year old daughter used to tell me: Mommy put some makeup on because you don t look so pretty ! After seeing Dr. Chilukuri yesterday, I immediately noticed that my jawline was beautifully defined, my under-the-eye area was smooth and full and my mid and lower face looked more youthful. This morning, I stared at the mirror and could not take my eyes off the image of my face.
I am in my mid forties (God I hate that number) and even though others tell me that I look much younger, I have not felt that way, until today.

A few years back I started researching doctors for my under eye region. It was a place that was aging quicker than other areas of my face. Through some heavy research, I came across Dr. C, and oh man am I glad I was able to see him. Lets just say that there are your normal doctors and then there is Dr. C. He is the best at what he does and with the bedside manner of a true friend. Dr. C has a beautiful approach to making you feel like yourself, but younger and refreshed. When you speak to him, you know how passionate he is about what he does. He will not settle for anything less than perfect. I truly admire his skill and everything he has done to make me feel confident. I trust him 100%!

Refresh dermatology is amazing. First and foremost it s immaculately clean. You feel very safe as soon as you step in the door and go through the whole process. Even have you put your handbag in a sterilized container.

I got laser hair removal today for the first time at Refresh dermatology, and it didn t hurt one bit!!!! It was such a pleasant surprise. I have done laser hair removal at different establishment in Houston and it always hurt so bad. Like super painful.

I will absolutely be going back to Refresh for Lazer hair removal and will recommend all my friends to do the same.

This place is the best. After going to one of Houston's most renowned surgical boutiques, I was not seeing any results for my facial scar revisions. I searched the internet and ran upon Refresh Dermatology and Dr. Chilukuri. After an awesome initial visit, I decided to have take my business here; and I have not been disappointed. There is a reason this boutique is so highly rated. Dr. C is extremely knowledgeable (this is an understatement) and kind. So is his staff. I have seen pretty dramatic improvements so far and more is to come. I would highly recommend it!

Dr Chilukuri came highly recommended to me from several medical professionals as the number one provider in cosmetic dermatology in Houston. He is actually the one who teaches other dermatologists around the country many of the common procedures used today so he is definitely the doc to go to! I was sent to Dr. Chilukuri by another dermatologist that had no idea how to help my problem. From the moment I stepped in the door, the staff members were extremely polite but meeting Dr. Chilukuri was the real treat for he treated me with kindness as he listened to my explanation of concerns with my skin. I have been going see Dr. Chilukuri and his team at Refresh Dermatology for a number of years for various reasons. I've had a series of laser hair removal treatments over the years. Given, I m not what is considered an ideal candidate (dark skin, dark hair) and I am sensitive, it s probably taken me longer to reach my desired results. However, I very much appreciate the care given to make sure there is minimal discomfort and my skin doesn t have any reactions from the laser. Kelsey is phenomenal at providing laser treatment, as she always communicates before she does anything and she has been able to tailor each treatment to my specific skin type and hair color. I have been so happy with results!!!

Also, in preparation for my wedding, I decided to see Dr. Chilukuri, as the loss of volume and wrinkles under my eyes was quite noticeable. I ve never had injectables done on my face, so I wasn t sure what I needed to get done to achieve the look I wanted. I have been going to Dr. Chilukuri for a few years now, and I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else! He is a perfectionist and takes so much pride in his work, and is able to create a very natural result. He is so wonderful with patients and will spend as much time with you as you need to answer all of your questions. I was very worried about getting botox and having that "unnatural" look you see sometimes, but his work is flawless which is why he is the one who teaches all the other docs around the world how to inject properly. I don't have enough good things to say about Dr. Chilukuri. I visited him shortly before my 30th birthday, and a couple of months prior to my wedding. I had noticed over the past few years that my complexion had become more and more uneven with freckling and sun spots from years spent as a lifeguard. Despite using tretinoin and regular sunsceeen, I felt like my skin could not get it's old brightness back . Dr. Chilukuri recommended an intense pulsed light treatment for my face. Even after just one treatment my skin is so much brighter and more even! His staff was very knowledgeable and nice and made the whole experience comfortable and pleasant. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to look like the best version of themselves, no matter what age they are! Can't wait to go back in for my next treatment.

Take the time to take care of yourself and treat yourself to the many special procedures he offers . Loved my results, great bedside manner and discussion during the appointment with Dr. Chilukuri, AMAZING follow up and communication by him. Was completely surprised at how easy and painless it was receiving my Dysport and Botox. Only have two little concerns. I had an awful headache for a full week after. Perhaps that's just how my body responds. Others I know have not had that same issue. And how they charge is a little unclear to me. Not sure if I had more units than others I know that have had the same procedure elsewhere. Bottom line, though, is that I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chilukuri. It was a great experience from start to finish.

Dr. Chilukuri is flat out the best doctor ever had the privledge of working with. I ve gone to other doctors before, but have always felt they were overzealous with filler and never took the time (or the skill) to really customize the various tools at their disposal to ensure my face looked younger, but remained looking NATURAL. I could go on, but suffice to say I am a fan!

I have had many facials during my 72 plus years. The facial I had at Refresh Dermatology in Bellaire,TX was exceptional. Anyone who has ever had a facial knows extractions can be uncomfortable and often painful.This is not the case if Allie is doing your facial. She was professional, gentle, and very informative. I felt only a slight pressure while she was doing extractions and there was absolutely no discomfort. She explained what she was doing every step of the way and told me the purpose of each product she was using. I highly recommend you make an appointment with Allie to make your face look and feel like mine did!

I am a 45 year old male that had successful MOHS surgery a year ago. As much as one wants to say concerns about scarring is superficial or vain, it does make a difference in first impressions and business interactions. After my face healed I went to a derm hoping to improve the vascularity and appearance of the scar. Three treatments later, there was really no noticeable difference. I pretty much felt there were no further options. That was until I met Dr. Chilukuri. It's been 3 days since the latest procedure. The redness is gone and the scar is flattened and flesh tone. My wife and I can't believe the difference in Dr Chilukuri's tools, technique and results. Every MOHS patient should know there is hope. If you never had skin cancer, hopefully you never will, I can only say this cosmetic result wasn't by mistake. If you want a cosmetic procedure you need to see Dr Chilukuri. There isn't a score or ranking that will ever do Dr. Suneel Chilukuri justice (Dr. Sun ). He's on a whole other level that hasn't been created yet. Get ready to have your expectations blown away! Your perception of how a doctor and staff should treat and care for their patients will never be the same (try not to compare your other doctors to him, lol). He and his amazing staff scooped me up, gave me some old fashioned TLC and fixed my broken lips. I had lip injections done by a facial plastic surgeon that were done incorrectly (really ?!?) technique wise for my type of lips. Plus, the top to bottom ratio was way off. No pain/bruising. Total opposite experience than before . Keep in mind that just because they are a plastic surgeon doesn't mean they are also the best at cosmetic dermatology. What Dr. Suneel does is art using just a pencil/eraser and not scissors to create more beauty (that's already there). He will study your face like you're his beloved art piece. Hence, he loves what he does and so does his staff. God created this precious gifted man for all of us

I am a 60 year old woman who regularly received fillers a least on a monthly basis if not more. Although I was quite satisfied with the results I felt like there was something more that could possibly be done to give me more volume and fullness. Dr. Chilukuri agreed and performed a laser procedure where he took my own fat from the abdominal area and injected it in my face. I had very little discomfort during and after the procedure, I had very little swelling, if any, and absolutely no bruising. I am a very active person who walks everyday and works out 5 days a week doing cross training, hit and weight training. Even though I felt like I could immediately go back to my regular routine I will adhere to Dr. Chilukuri's recommendation of no workout for a week. I am very pleased to say the least. To sum it up, the success of the procedure could be what my husband said. He never said much about the fillers after I had them but immediately when I cam out of the Dr. Chilukuri's office he said he could not believe the difference. That in itself was a testament to the success of the procedure. 5 stars is not enough. If I could I would give more. Dr. Chilukuri and his staff are absolutely the best.
