It's a football stadium that hosts all kinds of professional meetings and conferences. It does the job. But be prepared for football coaches and B team players to come walking through your private meeting rooms as a short cut and middle management types to be loudly talking to colleagues walking through a private meeting / conference because they can't be bothered to walk round and argue if you ask them not to.
Good parking, variable quality of signage. Convenient for the M61 and railway.

Having no experience of this stadium as a sporting venue my review is based purely on my visit to see The Killers on Fri 13th July which is that it is completely incapable of coping with this volume of people/type of event. Badly signposted around the stadium, roads were chaos and totally grid locked, extortionate parking costs. Inside the stadium the food is basic and overpriced. There was no running water in the toilets or loo paper. Getting off the car parks was a joke taking over an hour. Would I return to this stadium? - never. I only feel sorry for The Little Mix fans heading there now knowing what s in store for them. Would I see The Killers again? In a heartbeat - awesome performance.
