Very relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and the owner was very helpful and kind. The morning breakfasts he made for us were great. You felt like you were at home. We stayed in the kitchen suit, which was nice and roomy and private. Looking forward to coming back at some point.

My boyfriend and I recently visited the red resort. It was my first time skiing. Everyone here was amazing! I took two ski lessons. Jean a.k.a grandpa and Natalie was awesome! I had the best time with Jean, who I call grandpa in my head. He was amazing! You definitely have to take lessons from him. I went to the blue trail just after taking a lesson from him. I absolutely fell in love with the mountain and skiing. Definitely, want to come back next time and take lessons with Jean again. Thank you Red mountain resort! I had the most fun!

This is a pretty enjoyable Mountain for snowboarding regardless of your skill level. Despite still being new and only comfortable on more novice Blue runs, there were plenty of runs on which I was comfortable and plenty that could test my skills. Even if you are a beginner, you needn t fear going up the mountains as there are Green runs to descend most of them.

The best combination of terrain and skiable acres per skier. Rarely ever a lineup to get on the lift. Grooming is phenomenal, tree skiing is some of the best. Terrain for every level of skier.

Best powder skiing I've ever done at a resort. Even on the best powder day of the year, there are no lift lines and it's almost impossible to find other skiers on the hill. It can be a week or more before the hill gets skied out!

I spent two full days at Red mountain on Feb 21st and 22nd. The snow condition was great and we never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes at the lifts. There were so many great runs that it took two days to explore the three mountains. Some fresh powder would have been great, but the weather didn't cooperate.

Generally pretty good day for second day of the year, friendly lifties, decent vibes, only reason it was a 4-5 star was due to snow condition and visibility but can't do much about that. 4.5/5

This ski resort has a good mix of terrain, from beginner to expert, but it really shines for its expert treed runs and great fall lines. Not as likely to get powder as some other resorts in the Kootenays but its sheer size and lack of crowds means the good snow doesn't get tracked out as fast. Friendly, down to earth staff and locals, and cheap day rates or passes round out the 5 star rating.

Great ski area, near funky town.

We love staying on the mountain, so much terrain. They have a great variety of accommodations from hostels, to townhomes and a full service hotel at the base of the resort. But if you go don't miss driving the very short distance into Rossland for lunch, dinner or just to browse on the main street.

My favourite mountain resort. So much open space. I was so surprised by the amount of beginner terrain available for those learning on the lower half of the mountain! It is an extreme mountain & oh I had so much fun but I see an opportunity to target more families.

RED, as a marketing coordinator, you guys should capitalize on this!!

The Cat Skiing was so fun!! We were able to lap it on a long weekend?!

Everyone is so spread out you basically have the mountain to yourself it s awesome.

Red Mountain might be my favourite place in the world to ski (so far). It may not have the fastest lifts in the world and the biggest infrastructure, but neither did Revelstoke before it became big. I have never been disappointed with any day I ve skied at Red, and that includes days with ice and rain. I ve never been here in mid-season either, only ever at the end, but I dream of the day when I can finally ski real Red Mountain powder. Absolutely love this place.

I have been to this resort, for the last 6 years, and watched it grow, and get better and better. Besides having great terrain, they have incredible staff, everywhere. Super friendly, always helpful and enthusiastic. The only concern I ever have, is Rafters gets way packed! A very good sign.

We had an amazing time today. Great for the kids and then we managed a few fun runs without them too. I LOVE the fact that even on a stat holiday we had no problem finding a parking spot and no lift lines. Love red mountain.

It had been over 40 Years since I last skied at
Red Mountain. The last time was at the time Granite Mtn.
had just opened and a Pontiac cup women's downhill was being run.

Not much has changed since then, other than the addition of Grey Mtn. to the overall terrain. Still the same friendly small town atmosphere, the endless cold deep dusty powder, the huge amount of varied terrain from both the lifts and the backcountry, and not to mention the almost 3000 ft. of vertical offered on 3 large mountains. And still no lift lines, Amazing!

Well, a few thing have changed: there is more Apres now, as well as, more resort accommodation.

The one question I have is for myself.
What took me so long to come back?

I love Red Mountain resort, I love the chairlifts the t bar and even the magic carpet i guess. Although i think they should make a gondola or 2 and the lodges have great tasting food only the tables have a million pieces gum under them.

Awesome for summer hiking. The trail to the top of red mountain is well marked, well maintained and diverse. It starts in tall, dense forest and progresses through stages and peekaboo views to the summit with panoramic views. In July the wildflowers are amazing! The trails are also mountain bike trails, seemingly a well-respected sharing.

The modest crowds make you think you have the place to yourselves at times. Of course, there's a hefty line for first chair, but the remainder of the day is nearly free of lift lines.
Spectacular scenery, fabulous terrain. Great blue runs and the single blacks were plenty challenging for me. Maggie's Farm is all I need to say: astonishingly beautiful. The locals are terribly friendly, and a trip upstairs to Rafters helps take the edge off what you're thighs are trying to tell you. Food on the mountain is delish.

Amazing slope side chalet condo. Greatly furnished placr with solid wood features. The mountain is one of the best with Deep champagne powder snow. Better be skilled and have fat skiis or boards for these trails
