About RecThing
Looking for something to watch, read or listen to? RecThing is here to help you.
We believe most recommendation engines out there are pretty terrible. They all work on the broken notion that peoples tastes can be averaged out to form an objective map of connections between entertainment. But we all know that this is wrong: peoples tastes differ enormously.
Instead of trying to suggest new entertainment directly from what you currently like, as other recommendation engines do, RecThing is all about connecting you with similarly minded individuals. You will then receive recommendations from this network of likeminded individuals, which we believe will be far superior to those generated by some dumb robot.
