Have purchased computer equipment and had repairs done by Recompute for several years, not fully understanding technology I have found Cos very helpful during the purchase and invaluable when I went home and then I had to contact him on several occasions to guide me through the installs.

The computer is in excellent condition, and everything is as described. Very happy with the purchase. I used zippay but Recompute only has zipmoney so this was a glitch. However manually processing the purchase in zipmoney gives access to zippay so everything went through. Delivery was prompt, however Toll failed to knock at my door and it went straight to a pickup point. Toll are the dregs. I recommend checking the computer model specs and guides from the original manuufacturer (HP in my case) to avoid any surprises. Zero complaints except the Zip stuff. Was able to speak to a human being at Recompute to resolve the payment issues.

I bought a dual screen computer bundle from Recompute, after a recommendation from a friend that this was the place to go. And even with the current postage delays it arrived from Sydney to Melbourne within a week. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and the excellent customer service, who rang me the day I ordered to confirm all my details. My new computer is amazing, I love it! Thank you Recompute!

I recently purchased a reconditioned i7 HP ProBook 430 from Recompute. Purchased this notebook for my daughter. Delivery was fast, packaging was excellent/safe/secure. The laptop is in excellent condition (almost new) and works perfectly. Would highly recommend Recompute to anyone looking to purchase a laptop at an affordable price and looking for quality laptops at a fraction of the cost of a new laptop. Thank you Recompute and I will be looking to purchase from you again in the near future.

Bought an iMac from these guys just over a year ago. After 13 months the hard drive failed, known fault for that iMac model but Apple's recall program had finished so they wouldn't help. After I let Recompute know about the problem, Wayne the MD sorted everything out. Recompute replaced the hard drive for free and made sure everything was working properly. The team were really friendly and helpful, great service, would use them again.

Been dealing with these guys for years. Great guys to deal with. Always helpful. Will bend over backwards to help you out. Would thoroughly recommend (and have) anyone to purchase refurbished laptops and pc's from these guys.

Their server hardware is overpriced, by at least 20-50% on top of market prices. If you're looking for a drive caddy for an R610/R710, they want ~$30 each, compared to ~$15 which 99% of retailers sell them for. SAS drives? Forget about it. Plenty of other companies out there to look at that absolute smash the pricing. COMPARE ELSEWHERE!

The Recompute company is a great one. They called me after one min payment and confirmed what I ordered. I received my laptop in less than a week. It is a very clean laptop like new with some lines on the bottom (they are tiny). I do recommend to purchase your products from them.

Man, was my experience a roller coaster. I was looking to purchase a laptop as a gift, and I was in contact with one of the staff who was willing to get a better deal for me. I'll admit there were some communication issues here, that could have been handled better to make the whole transaction a bit smoother. Fortunately, a lovely bloke by the name of Wayne not only got me the deal but, to make up for lost time, had the item express posted so it would arrive in time for the birthday dinner! A bit of initial disappointment followed by going above and beyond all expectations. Thanks heaps for the look on my Mums face when she opened the package! :D

Great experience! They were lovely to deal with, it was shipped and arrived quickly, and the computer itself is in very good condition. I am so happy I went with them and got a high quality laptop for the same price as a new entry level one. Would highly recommend!

Bought a second hand lenovo t430 laptop (which I am using to write this review). As someone who always purchases new i was skeptical about buying refurbished laptop. I took the punt and bought an i7 laptop after discussing my needs and use for the machine. To my surprise the laptop is perfect and works better than my slightly newer i5. Can't recommend recompute enough. Very happy with their service and products

Great products at affordable prices! The gentlemen at the counter (i think his name is Cos) was really helpful and took the time to show me around their showroom to find the right laptop that suited me and within my budget. Will certainly be recommending this business to my family and friends!

They sell good products at a very reasonable price. I have bought two PCs from these guys so far, never had a problem. Staff give honest, helpful advice and seem to actually care about their customers, which is nice. 10/10, totally willing to purchase from here again.

Over the years I bought a few reconditioned desktops(2) and laptops (2) from Recompute ( Formerly called BARGAINSEEKER , the products were all fine, just poor battery life). But recently when I asked for a WinXP Pro Desktop ( as my medical software circa 2006 only run on XP) they were neither interested nor helpful . I have gone to another refurbisher who went out of his way to get me one ( It wasn't in stock ). Shining bright showroom is nice but the real difference is in the service.

I have a bought a refurbished iMac, the computer works really well, 2013 model. It quickly updated to High Sierra and has sync'd beautifully with everything. Quick delivery interstate. Only disappointment was that the computer was FILTHY DIRTY. Black, greasy finger prints everywhere, the screen, the back of it and the box. I assume after it was refurbished it was not cleaned and probably not cleaned after it's last use pre refurbishment...kind of gross. It only took me 10 minutes which I think they could of afforded to do... I had assumed that a refurbishment would mean they tidied up it's exterior as well, the price was only $500 short of a new low model version too so we paid good money and had higher expectations. Mouse, cords and keyboard are all clean and tidy however... But at least the computer works hey. Thanks guys!

I purchased the dual screen back to school package for $649. Received a phone call after I ordered to say they received my order, then received my computer within 3 days of ordering, which is amazing seeing i live regional NSW. Im using this for work from home remotely and works perfect. Great service and speedy delivery . The only thing I didn't look at was it didn't have a camera for zoom or teams but that was my fault. Other than that very happy and would purchase again from here .

I recently had my laptop fixed with Recompute but that was not successful, I told them about it, so they took it back kept it there for another 2 weeks until they found the problem and fix it, then they gave it back to me, and they didn't charge me any extra for that service, I was very happy with their service.

One such best services provided. Thanks to the team of recompute, I absolutely loved the product. I purchased HP Elitebook folio 9480m and it just looks like a fresh piece. Not even a single problem faced even until 3 weeks of purchasing it. I recommend this, it meets your expectations. Thanks for the packaging and service provided.

We bought a reconditioned laptop from their store. After getting home, we found out it had a scratch on the screen, so we took it back within the week to get it replaced. Customer service was not appalling but not great. No apology, just a begrudging replacement with another laptop of our choice (which cost us a bit more) and a few side comments minimising the issue. With the second one, we got home and it became clear that the maximum battery life was maybe 20 minutes if i am generous. The battery charging cord was also not working correctly, and we had another laptop of the same brand which we could test this on and confirm. It was otherwise working fine. When we went to make a claim on the warranty (for a replacement battery), and after a week of the laptop being investigated at their office, it was agreed they would replace the battery charging cord, but they did not want to replace the battery. I was directed to their terms and conditions which said the warranty did not cover batteries. So i had a look, and the same section says that Recompute will not sell us a battery that does not hold charge. I wrote back explaining that it now holds a maximum of 10 minutes charge, and was already in need of replacement at the time of purchase (which we had no way of knowing when we purchased it). They said that the battery does hold charge (even if only 10 minutes) so therefore they did give us a battery that does hold charge. Sorry but that is just ridiculous. And being a legal girl, I contacted Fair Trading who concurred with my view. What they were claiming was cheeky and not a fair or reasonable reading of their own terms or conditions. But i didn't need to make a claim in the end as they agreed to replace the battery after i mentioned my contact with FT to them. When we went to pick up the replacement battery, the same grumpy shop guy was there and said he didn't know anything about it and couldn't find it, so we had been put out once again. We got it in the end, but i think the most disappointing and concerning aspect of the whole experience is that they are a retailer of reconditioned computers yet had sold us two computers that had obvious issues. Second to this would certainly be their customer service, particularly the grumpy shop guy who should not be in a customer-facing role. I would not purchase another computer from Recompute and would not recommend others to do the same.
