Such a sweet gallery!

Such a sweet gallery!

Spread across 3 floors, the quirky, laid back set up of the gallery makes it really pleasant place to browse. Some art galleries can be a little intimidating but that doesn't exist here. Upon arrival we had a friendly greeting and were encouraged to get up close to the pieces, even to touch them.

On the top floor we also found a beautiful balcony with potted plants, a perfect little secret garden in the midst of central London. It's a great area to sit on a sunny and talk about what you have found inside. Trust me, there will be a lot to talk about.

Big thumbs up!

Rebecca Hossack Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that has been in operation since 1988. The gallery specializes in Aboriginal, Australian, and Western art and has galleries located in London, New York, and Miami. The gallery's founder, Rebecca Hossack, is an Australian-born artist who has a passion for promoting contemporary art from around the world.

The gallery's mission is to showcase emerging artists alongside established ones while providing a platform for cross-cultural exchange. The Rebecca Hossack Gallery prides itself on being at the forefront of contemporary art movements by exhibiting works that challenge traditional notions of what constitutes "art." This approach has earned the gallery a reputation as one of the most innovative and exciting galleries in the world.

The London location of Rebecca Hossack Gallery is situated in Fitzrovia - an area known for its vibrant arts scene. The space features two floors with ample room to display large-scale installations as well as smaller works such as paintings and sculptures. Visitors can expect to see exhibitions that range from solo shows by emerging artists to group shows featuring established names.

In addition to showcasing artwork within its physical spaces, Rebecca Hossack Gallery also offers online exhibitions through its website. This allows visitors from all over the world to view and purchase artwork without having to physically visit one of their locations.

One aspect that sets Rebecca Hossack Gallery apart from other galleries is their focus on Aboriginal art. They have been instrumental in bringing this genre into mainstream consciousness by exhibiting works by some of Australia's most celebrated Indigenous artists such as Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Rover Thomas.

Another area where they excel is their commitment to sustainability. They have implemented eco-friendly practices throughout their operations such as using LED lighting systems and sourcing materials locally whenever possible.

Rebecca Hossack Gallery also hosts events such as artist talks, book launches, film screenings, and workshops which provide opportunities for visitors to engage with artists directly or learn more about specific aspects of contemporary art practice.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a contemporary art haven that showcases innovative artworks while promoting cross-cultural exchange then look no further than Rebecca Hossack Gallery!
