Hope to hell other Raven drivers aren't like the one I saw in R4143 on the Washington Beltway Sunday Jan. 3. Serial tailgating is unsafe to begin with, but there is no way in hell a tractor trailer going 70mph can stop in an emergency when it is riding the back of sedans. One after another after another. Are Raven drivers so ill-informed that they don't realize 1) a truck requires several hundred more feet to stop than an auto, and 2) if it does collide, the chance of it killing auto passengers is extremely high? A loaded tractor trailer outweighs an auto by the same ratio as a grown man to a newborn infant, about 20 to one. A truck hitting an auto isn't like an ordinary auto crash - it's more like the driver stomping on the infant. Are the drivers simply callous or are they under so much pressure from management that risking others lives doesn't factor in for them?
Tell you something else: that kind of driving on a light-traffic Sunday is utterly inexcusable. It suggests either that the route and schedule was poorly planned or that the driver was in a big rush to catch an NFL game.
On top of that, it's unbelievable that the motor carrier industry would lobby for extended drivers hours. Do they really not give a s**t about others on the road?
A Raven Transport truck just sideswiped my niece, bounced off her car and hit a Ford F150 and kept going. When her mother in law called the company to report the incident, the owner/dispatch said she was lying. That their drivers would never do that. So, we are looking for witnesses to the accident that occurred on 8/27 around 9 am on 295 N by New Kings Road.
There could not be a better place to be a truck driver. You want miles, you get miles. Great Driver Managers really are concerned about you and your family. you get home when you are supposed to be. Great benefits, good pay, electronic logs, prepass, prepaid tolls.
A ok company. The trucks are junk and some of the employees are rude and have attitudes.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
I JUST CALLED TO GET A QUOTE TO TRANSPORT OUR EQUIPMENT TO THE PGA TOUR AND THE LADY I SPOKE WITH SAID THAT NOT ONE SALES PERSON WAS IN THE OFFICE TODAY TO GIVE ME ANY PRICES AND THAT WAS NOT HER JOB. I SAID IS THERE ANY ONE THAT COULD HELP ME? SHE SAID NO SORRY NOONE IS IN THE OFFICE.
VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!
Best company out there. Majority of loads are preloaded/drop and hook, window appointments. They run a Florida-Texas-Pennsylvania triangle. High pay with weekly bonuses if you exceed 2400 miles that week. Best DM in the company is Thomas hands down. Home weekly or less if you want. Health insurance is through Florida BCBS, but BCBS isn t what it used to be because they don t treat drivers living outside of Florida state the same as Florida resident drivers. So take that for what it s worth, but it s not Ravens fault. Small company, but top notch.
i'm from Salisbury MD Wicomico County as soon i get my license is my CDLS I WILL BE ON THE ROAD WITH YALL GUYS SEE YOU SOON
This one star rating is for the driver that about ran me into a median wall near I-285 N inside lane to ramp I-20 West bound in Atlanta.
On Mothers Day at apprx. 3:30PM I was in the inside (exit only)lane on I-285 N. that takes you around to I-20 West towards Birmingham.
The Raven Driver was in the 3rd lane over and apparently trying to get over (to the left) to exit to I-20 West also. He came over one lane squeezing between two small cars. The car behind him applying their brakes as I came up beside them. As I came up beside the (Raven)trailer I realized the whole truck & trailer was coming into my lane. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid being ran into the median wall. And thank God there wasn't someone right behind me. And since there wasn't and with plenty of time to get over, why this driver chose to do this is beyond me. This could've been a very disastrous situation. This company as well as others only know of their drivers performance by other drivers. Perhaps this driver needs another round of CDL safety training or get off the road period.
He honked at us when we asked him he is awesome for that i say thanks he made my cousin's and my day we were ao happy when he honked.
I notice alot of people 4 wheelers complaining about drivers and companies before you go on a rant how about you put yourself in the driver seat we do this, day in day out cause it's in our blood ok.maybe if you would look at the entire situation what if that's the only out the driver had and he did his best to avoid a accident.. You people kill me quick to write a bad review about a truck driver maybe you should look in the mirror because I'm sure I can post evidence of careless people in 4 wheelers acting like they are God gift to the roads.. please if I remember correctly safe driving starts in or on any object used for travel.. You're probably writing this essay reviews while driving that's why the spelling looks baby scribble... Trucking4life
Ravens is awesome. Higher pay in the industry. Great great benefit, and best of all, nice people to work with.
I just witnessed a Raven Transport truck side swipe a disabled vehicle I'm the turning lane. He did not stop to access the damages nor did he think to turn around after the fact. That speaks volumes for the company and the drivers they hire! This post deserved ZERO stars!
Great company The miles are there and everyone is friendly. No bsing you with home time. Benefits are good too. Don't see any reason to ever leave. Thanks for the great job.
This is THE Go-to company for all your logistic needs - very professional, on time every time with a tight well maintained fleet and drivers!
I have no clue how these people are. But at 445 this morning one of their trucks used my front yard as a turn around. In process of doing this the driver ran over two of my over head canopies and since out was raining the truck left deep indentations the whole length of my yard. I would not have even given them the one star, but that was the lowest rating. Avoid then at all cost. FYI anyone at the company that is reading this I will be in contact after I get a price for fixing the yard, the canopies were $200 each.
