Highly Unprofessional & Rude Staff. If I could give zero stars, I would. On first visit, my daughter and wife waited 40 minutes past their scheduled appt. time. After inquiring about the wait, they said the doctor was running late. The receptionist said it would not be much longer which was not true . The appt was rescheduled two weeks later. My daughter arrives for her appt but needed a parent since she is 17 years old. I arrive after leaving work to be told that you cannot be more than 15 minutes late. I arrive at 3:15 to meet my daughter in the waiting area to accompany her for the 3:00 appt. The receptionist argues about the time. What happened to respect for the customer? Not here! I was told by my daughter after leaving the building that the 2 receptionists at the window called her a name which she did nothing to warrant it. A lot of talking and snide facial expressions accompanied the belittling of my daughter as she overheard them in the waiting area. Keep the window closed if you feel it is necessary to talk about patients! I wish I was told on the spot as I would have asked to see the doctor and let my feelings known. As seen in other reviews, they have quite the reputation forming and I will be glad to inform everyone that I know about this. If you want to be talked about and belittled, go here. I choose to go elsewhere and keep my respect. There are plenty of choices in the area. Two patients less but I doubt they care.

The doctors and technicians are delightful. They use state of the art equipment and are very attentive to your conditions, needs, etc.

The front office is absolute garbage. They ve mixed up appointment times and are regularly indifferent to solving even the smallest of difficulty on the patient s end (myself and another family member).

The eyewear technicians aren t particularly proficient but I haven t had experience to the point where I would call them deficient.

If the technicians/doctors weren t immaculate, I wouldn t be here at all. But, that being said, they deserve all the praise in this 4 star review.

The staff and eye doctors were very professional and my teenage age kids loved them. I gave 4 stars because the service in the Optical Center is unprofessional, my insurance company lists the center as a provider for a certain discount and they refused to honor it. My insurance company had to call them numerous times to explain it to them and they were still reluctant to honor it. The Optical Center tried to explain why, even though they are clearly listed on Anthem's website as offering the discount, they wouldn't honor it. I didn't understand what they they were saying, extremely poor communication skills. Not to brag, but I am an attorney and I am fairly well educated and manage complex communications every day, and I could not resolve the issue with them. Moreover, they seem reluctant to even provide service. If you go to Ratchford Eye Center I would avoid the Optical Center.

This was my first visit here. I switched because my previous eye dr retired. I was very pleased with their facility. Dr. Napoletano was very thorough in her exam. The staff was pleasant and the whole experience was excellent. I will definitely be back.

Dr. Ratchford and Jackie have been so wonderful to me. They have been kind , professional, patient and caring. I have serious anxiety about seeing doctors but they have both been so wonderful to me I was able to overcome my anxiety and was comfortable enough to get surgery. My experience with this office is that they have gone above and beyond with their patient support and kindness. Jackie has done so much to make me feel comfortable . I have found the appointments to be on time and I have complete trust in Dr. Ratchford's expertise and her professionalism. She is dedicated to her patients care. She is one of the warmest and most professional Doctors I have encountered. I highly recommend this office and the staff.

Great Doctors!
Terrible staff. They are rude and never call back. There has never been a time when I have not had to call a minimum of three times on different days in order to have someone contact me back with the information I have requested. There is a strong "not my job attitude" form all of the front desk staff. Messages seem to not get passed along or simply just ignored with the hopes that someone else will do the work.

I love this doctors' office and the whole staff is very helpful! I've been going to them for years and have always gotten excellent care. They still have that personal family feel that other medical offices have lost to big business medical groups. It takes a while to get an appointment, which is understandable and worth the wait, because they are the BEST!

Always friendly, professional and personal care. They pay great attention to detail and take the extra time to explain things. I always feel like my family and I are in good hands with Dr. Ratchford and her excellent staff. We trust Ratchford Eye Center with our eyes and have for well over a decade.

Doctors are good, office staff not very personable on the phone.

The eye examination is so thorough. The only downside is that you can expect to spend at least a couple of hours there. Because the eye exam is so thorough, I am willing to notch a couple of hours out of my day.

Very happy with both mine and my husband's experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have some extended hours which is nice.

The staff are not friendly when you call. It makes me feel like I'm bothering them. It's a shame because the Doctors are great. Why do you make patients feel terrible when they are calling for help?? I've been spoken to rudely more than once. The only reason I continue to come here is because of the nice doctors.

Dr. Napoletano is the best! I have been recommending her to everyone. Very happy I found a Dr that I like and enjoy going to. I never have to wait. The entire staff is very accommodating. I would recommend Ratchford Eye Center to anyone.

Awful. Receptionist was rude. Called from packed parking lot, told to come in, then given attitude for being early. Never got in to see a doctor

Wow, I just left from my first visit, front desk very polite , office actually on time, yes that's right , a doctors office on time! , beautiful and clean inside, everyone professional, not one minute wasted, these guys are my new eye docs. Richard

Dr. Napoletano is wonderful! I have been having my eyes checking for over 30 years and my exam from her was the most through I have ever had. Plus she is a wonderful person, very pleased. Highly recommend!

I love Dr. Ratchford and Dr. Chin. Both excellent doctors. The staff is great, very pleasant and always friendly.

Had a great experience both times. Once was planned once was not. They are very thorough and the place is very clean. Dr. Kjellen was great. The front desk staff (Ashely and Amanda) are also very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Doctor Ratchford has been my ophthalmologist for many years, and I trust her with my eyes.
Along with the other friendly doctors and friendly experienced staff my eyes stay healthy, and it's a pleasure to visit their new modern, super clean facility with ample parking. Thank you, A+.

The Ratchford Eye Center is "excellence in eye care" period. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave they are totally committed to delivering the very best care. Front staff was welcoming and professional. Pre-exam by the techs was thorough and testing was complete so when I saw the doctor all needed information was gathered. Dr Ratchford examined me and I left with the knowledge that I had received the best care possible. I have been to other eye doctors and have never received this level of care. Dr. Ratchford is the best!!

They were disrespectful and nasty and really didn't have proper customer service. Is was treated very unfair while bringing a client in for treatment.

My eye doc was fine, but waiting 25 minutes to be seen to only be told "we're running a little bit behind" is completley unacceptable. Get your act together.

Do not purchase glasses through their optical department, prices are exhorbitant, service is severely lacking, they say they leave messages regarding the order on a phone that isn't set up for voicemail. Tried to cancel after one week, told they were already shipped, now on week 3! Buyer beware.
