Rappahannock electric cooperative Review

What a wonderful company. I experienced a power outage at my house last night due to a branch falling on the power line, then I called the power company. I told them what happened, and they were there pretty quick. I met them outside and showed them where it was. They had it fixed right under 2 hrs. Such a good group of guys. They were so nice and helpful. They had great crew and quick response. These people are first responders in my book,on call 24/7 and have to leave family/friends at a moment's notice to fix an outage., and they don't get well enough credit as they deserve. If you have been without power, you know what I'm talking about. You take it for granted and don't realize what luxury you have till it's gone. So thank you all very much.

Hardly lose power but when we do, they do not take long to get you back up and running. These guys have a dangerous job and have to go out in some bad weather at times. I appreciate all they do and don't complain....they are a part of America that keeps this great country up and running! God bless them!

10:15 PM and I m sitting through the third outage of the day at my house for some reason. I m used to getting nervous every time the sky darkens and the wind picks up but who knows what the problem is this time

I wish I could leave negative stars on this review.There is a low hanging power line by my house and we have called multiple times to get them to come out. A good gust of wind is going to take this power line out. Our concern is that as of right no emergency vehicles can get under this power line. I guess they don t care about peoples lives! If someone gets in an accident or can t receive medical help it will be their fault!

The way you handle power outages this last year is absolutely ridiculous. I would give you 0 starts if possible based on your customer service and lack thereof. You get paid to do a job and I find it very interesting you can not do your job and still demand the customers pay. When someone says we have downed lines and trees on lines, that is a risk of loss of life. Priority however it would seem you prioritize the more populated areas and branch out from what I was told by your rep.

I have had power outages with these Company however they have done everything they can to get it back on. Sometimes if you live in real rural areas. It may take a little longer. But the company is a fair and they do their best. At the end of the year because it's a Co-Op they do take money off of your account if there is money they are to get.So people need to stop and think.because how would you like it if your loved one was out there working on the power line in a storm.

I loose power on average twice a month. The weather can be clear and we have had zero rain to provide an excuse. I have lived in many states and have never had such poor reliability from a power company. Compounding the problem is I am connected to a very small grid so I am the last house to get my power restored. I don t know what the issue is but it never seems to be addressed and continues to happen.

We lost power today at around 2:30 pm. The first time since 2018. Rappahannock Electric sent out a text estimating the power would be back on at 5:29 pm. The terrible power company that all these people complain about had the power back on at 5:27 pm. How dare they be early.

Great customer service. Very attentive and responsive during outages. Best service I ve ever had.
