Editing but still very disappointed with customer service and company

Went through 4 units of the TND 740 model from this brand and got very disappointed in each and everyone one of them. From the screen getting frozen to completely not wanting to function after trying to troubleshoot. Warranty system for this company is useless and have fun trying to call their customer service line. If I were to go back in time and choose again I would definitely stay away from Rand Mcnally.

I ve been using rand McNally navigation systems for over a decade now, and I truly believe their quality has went down drastically, this last unit the TND 740 quit working in just over a year, I guess it s time to move over to Garmin. I would not recommend rand McNally products!

After spending 7 hours with the support team trying to be able to update my 70 tablet and being unanswered at the end, I said the hell with it. If this is the way you conduct business, then I'm going to be buying a different brand. Not what I expected from the only gps company I've been doing business with. Have a wonderful day.

Let me be honest about Rand McNally GPS. So I got interested in this GPS a long time ago and then finally decided to buy to one. First of all I liked the name Rand McNally, but I didn t pay attention to the quality. So first couple weeks of using the GPS was pretty decent then it starts to show its character; like freezing display, couldn t find the signal, didn t get enough battery even it was connected all the time, then it turned off and never came on. If you consider buying one, get Garmin. I switched from Garmin to Rand McNally and regretted very much!

I've had excellent experiences with this company and it's skilled support team. They're a very patient and understanding bunch that will bend over backwards to help as many customers as possible.

Hold times run kinda long, depending on the time of day and what department is being contacted.

Absolutely agree that need to change on Garmin . You payed for TND 740 and after one year warranty you can say Goodbye they don t have service at all

Company fails to supply lifetime map updates as advertised. Has been over a year since last update for the TND740LM. They also stopped sending construction and points of interest updates in April of 2020. They claim their TND750 has the latest maps so does that mean those maps are well over a year old as well?

I would give negative stars if I could!! Bought the truckers GPS, it failed to charge. Bought new charger, still failed to charge. Still under warranty. Nearly impossible to contact Rand McNally to get warranty repair or replacement as the website tells you to call, when you call they tell you to go to the website. Finally got someone to answer an email after SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, sent in GPS with a promise of 7 -10 days from the time they receive it for repair or replacement. It is now 15 days and NO RESPONSE despite daily emails asking where the GPS is!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! DO NOT BUY ONE!!! I'm guessing that they are waiting for our warranty to expire next month so they can charge us for the repair or replacement. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!!!

1 star is too good for their junk. I bought a TNDT80B in January only to have the GPS start messing up in March. It took me nearly 3 months to talk to someone, only to be told there was nothing they could do since I didn't buy it from the Rand McNally store. The really sad thing is they are still selling these knowing they are defective!! DON'T BUY IT, YOU'LL WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
