I have been going to this camp for 2 years I have made many friends here the campus looks at all people as human beings and many fun activities
So much memories here .. but I doubt the same few people as in adults are still here .. I was 14 years old and now I'm 26 year old
Hell on earth. Full of people with many mental problems. Staff and associates know it, exploit it, and abuse it. May cause death by suicide, homocide, or any other sources. Stay away! Don't send your child there!
Building up children is their business. Good, wholesome fun for children of all abilities. Safe place, caring, knowledgeable staff.
Ramapo is a terrible place to send your kids. I would only give it 0 stars if I could. I had heard so many wonderful things about Ramapo and I sent my son there in 2013. The following year, he said he did not want to go. It took him 9 years to finally tell me why. The pressure placed on him to keep quiet was such that he kept everything inside for 9 years, until he exploded. He experienced abuse and was constantly bullied and beaten in his bunker and the counselors did nothing. When he was telling me everything that happened to him at Ramapo, he was in tears. I recall now seeing those daily pictures they send of your child, and I never saw him smile in any of them. Sending my child to Ramapo was the worst thing I could have done to him. I hope that one he'll be able to recover from the abuse.
best camp ever because they let kids work early in there life
I want to know about any that are available in Oklahoma. Only did 5 star because it is what we are looking into for our grandson.
I had such a fun time here. We did many outdoor activities and had many new experiences. It s a great place to take your kids to spend some time with nature once in a while.
Super fun and great vibe. There's no signal so you're just isolated into your environment, which adds to the fun. I went with my college group, and the staffers there were really amazing!
During my time there, Abuse and neglect were the norm...Counselors looked the other way while autistics bullied autistics, and management tried to sweep all problems under the rug. I was attacked several times in my own cabin, and instead of receiving help from the staff, I was pressured to keep quiet or there would be consequences....
This was a very traumatizing place to spend a summer...If you love your kids, try to start with the neighborhood and something local, don't put them in this dangerous environment...they will suffer severe trauma, it's amazing nobody's died or been killed...yet.
I'll preference this by saying it's been a while since I've gone here (few years). This was the site in a peer education program i worked in where we would take pur young people for a weekend to do the building exercises. Loved the facilities and the staff there were really good. Camp food...is camp food. The bagels we used to get on the last day though were a blast. Cabins were nice.
All in all, a good camp to use for a program retreat of all ages. Would definitely go back there again...
The most diverse group of counselors with the children at the heart of all of their programs
