Suite was spacious. Staff was very friendly. Really neat old elevators. Roof top view was great.
Tub did not drain. Sink didn't drain. Old carpet and moldy smelling a/c. Dust and dirt in corners. Rooftop deck flooring feels like you might fall through at anytime. I would not recommend this place elevators are small and hard to open and operate.
This place has serious character. I loved staying here. The rooftop patio is amazing!
Price was decent. Staff is friendly. They have a neat rooftop area with good views. Stars are for those points and that's about it. Really old, really noisy, and they don't have comforters - just those scraggly old fleece blankets and sheets. Bed wasn't exactly comfortable and the pillows awful.
This hotel is very cool. Built in 1913, it still has the original elevators and lots of history to uncover during your stay.
The Ramada Inn, also known as the St James Hotel, is not your typical hotel. Rooms are smaller than the other chain hotels and it can be noisy at times due to its' location in the heart of the Gas Lamp Quarter. Those of you who want a large, modern room may not enjoy this hotel. But, if you like a classic hotel with lots of history and a wonderful staff, this is the place for you.
Price: 10
Cleanliness: 10
Location: 10
Staff: 11 (they are great)
Older style design. Helpful staff. Classic elevator. If you're on a lower floor, save yourself some time and take the stairs.
I was there for an event last month. I was only there for a short while so I was not able to check out their other accommodations.
I wasn't there for very long but is very nice place.
The employees were great. The website that I used to book the hotel could have been clearer about the $30 valet parking.
