Staff were very friendly and helpful they definitely get a 4 would have been a 5 but we got no response or apology when questioned if fountain outside could be turned off on our second night as it kept us awake on our first. Room was spacious with two tub chairs nice comfortable bed. Bathroom also spacius with both bath and shower would have been a 5 for room but gets a 4 due to the noise from the fountain wasn't loud but constant trickle was enough to rob sleep. Food was ok to good. Usual prices these days same on drinks. Breakfast gets a 5, bacon was excellent scrambled eggs didn't have that watery feel same for the boiled mushrooms they were excellent and the bread was amazing. Got to say whatever cleaning solution is used on all tables it needs to be changed as it left that beer stained sticky feel! Spa was excellent and gets a 4 low lightinging was nice and really good for the body conscious. Good size pool for swimming, spa would have got a 5 but the steam room was almost pointless no real steam. I talked to a regular who's raised it so many times that he's given up! No control either on unruly children even though there are plenty of signs to be ignored, our first night saw quite a few families happy to see their children dive bombing the pool. Killed the idea of a relaxing spa. Thankfully second day they were gone and we could relax. Staff need to keep that in check to be honest. Location of hotel is excellent very beautiful surroundings and gets a 5. Overall I would stay again but for the price and choice of the meals we'd go for the stay taking our own buffet and also we'd go for the spa (providing its peaceful!) ..but as I said earlier if you want a good nights sleep either request not to overlook the courtyard or take ear plugs! We had room 23 btw

Lovely afternoon tea, with unlimited Prosecco! Coffee was delicious and nice selection of sandwiches. Although sandwich edges felt slightly dry (weather was very warm), we ate them first! Gorgeous grounds and the tranquility was wonderful

Well where do I begin what an amazing time we had. We're were treated absolutely amazingly we had a beautiful room on just the other side of the little bridge in the grey cottage, our spa treatments which the lady who I sadly didn't catch her name looked after me soo well and was soo considerate of the fact that I am 14 weeks pregnant she was incredible. After that we had afternoon tea which was absolutely beautiful the gentleman couldn't do enough for us which was finished off by a beautiful touch of a bottle of prosecco in the room ( my husband thoroughly enjoyed ). The evening meal and the service was just incredible so polite and friendly we didn't want for anything. After a beautiful night sleep and feeling fully relaxed our stay was finished off by a beautiful full traditional breakfast again served by lovely friendly staff. I have visited 3 times now and I absolutely love the place would recommend to anyone and I'll definately be back for a visit before baby is born.

As soon as you drive in you get the stunning view of the accommodations and environment. Car parking was quick, easy and close to the reception which have polite and helpful staff who checked us in quickly.

With a short walk to our room,we could feel the warmth inside which was perfect and to see the room was even better, with a toilet bigger than usual and a super king bed to jump into.

As for the food, the pull pork burger was mouth watering(wouldn t recommend the fish) and affordable.the bar is amazing to sit in and relax.

As for the iconic Laura Ashley tea room you won t be disappointed by the design and afternoon tea for the right price.

Did not use the gym and spa but from looking in you can see it has decent equipment to use, the tennis court has seen better days but it s free tennis who can argue.

Would definitely recommend everyone to stay for a week

Staff and sevice great, food good drinks prices reasonable, building and rooms dated disappointed with our room, burn in carpet, cold shower, curtains old didn't draw tidy, lamp didn't work etc and that was a suite.

Had an amazing time at the Ramada resort. The staff were lovely and I really enjoyed the spa. I ordered a chocolate torte. My friend ordered a sandwich without horseradish but they unfortunately gave her horseradish. They apologised and were very kind by giving us guest passes to apologise. The staff were generous. The steam room and sauna were good quality and the food was delicious.

Lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings, warm and friendly staff couldnt do enough for us .spa facilities could do with a little tidy up in the changing rooms and maybe an addition of spin drier for bathing suits , great that they supply the towels but if your staying at the hotel unless you take a bag your carrying a wet item for quite a walk hence 4 stars.

Rooms are period if a little dated but certainly a long way from scruffy. Only let down was the food - it's amazing how a chef can have all the right ingredients for a simple burger yet still get it wrong (overcooked beef, raw onion, slab of cold mozzarella, & shrivelled bacon). Otherwise would definitely stay again.

Hmmm, there is a lot of charm, but the big issue is the standard.
If there is someone in the floor above you, it will be incredibly loud even if that person isn't doing any more than moving.

So I had to go to reception, ask for a electric heather.
When I came home after some hours, the electric heather was on full power, but in the meantime the central heating was also switched on. So now the room was a sauna.
The window is small, but the part that opens is tiny. .....
All in all not a positive experience.
Might be all right for a romantic weekend with your loved one, IF you get a nice room, but for me travelling on business it's not my first choice in the area

Great service, clean rooms, beautiful views of green rolling hills and sheep! Beautiful spot for a wedding and they have great packages. I was there for a one week conference and enjoyed it immensely. Food was wonderful.

This hotel punches above it's weight. I give 5 stars not for the facilities but for the great service by all staff and the lovely remote and relaxing ambiance the hotel has.
It's very clean and comfortable with good food, just could do with some updated furniture. But it's not so bad it will spoil your stay. The Spa is a little dated but again great service and treatments with a comprehensive gym. I will definitely go back. Great value for money I recommend you give it a try.

I Had an amazing time on the weekend with my mum and sister's lovely staff beautiful place to stay. Only 1 thing was wrong. My door handle for the bathroom was broken and I got locked in there anxiety went through the roof and nearly had a panic attack lucky I wasn't alone.. the door lock was supposed to be changed earlier in the day and was not done.also the guests up above me kept me up all night arguing like cat and dog . Other than that the hotel itself is beautiful and we'll worth the money !!

Had a fantastic afternoon tea with our friends at the Laura Ashley tea room (actually at a lovely outdoor table on a gorgeous day). Very good spread of cordon bleu items all tasty and inviting. Service excellent and friendly. Grounds really beautiful.

Two night stay in a comfortable bed - my room was in the adjacent cottage - nice although dragging my bag from the car park was a bummer.

Room was nice - not exceptional - period features, although one my wife would disapprove of is the toilet window is not opaque - and easily seen from the grass below.

Pool and facilities looked well organised and decent - didn't use the fitness centre as it was too hot on the day.
I'll definitely be back.

Decent value and pool/sports facilities nice, but the place really needs some TLC; some areas (not the main part of the Hotel) are looking tatty and tired (my room also had some 'fit and finish' issues). Staff friendly and helpful - more like 3.5 stars in the Hotel's current state.

The bar is very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds are ideal for a quiet weekend away from it all. Car parking is available and the Spa has a very good selection of gym equipment and complementary therapists.

The typical GB spa. Looks as if it was installed in the 80s and never maintained ever since. The Sauna ist tiny and not clean. The showers filthy, tiny and not even hooks to hang a towel on. No-one seams to bother taking a towel anyway, instead one sweat's directly onto the wood in the sauna. To shower cold after the sauna, which is the whole idea behind it, you have to go into the shower room. Alternatively do it as everyone else and jump directly into the pool. I wish the words hygiene and cleanliness would be reintroduced into British culture.
I can only comment on the sauna/pool area, not sure about hotel and restaurant.

The hotel is ok but I have objections to the competence of the gym one day I could rent tennis balls with balls and the next employee was not able to know the rockets do not mention the balls after which I had to go to the store

Nice location, spa facilities are very good. Some rooms can be a little noisy but it's an old building so no surprises... Ear plugs sort that out. Restaurant is excellent, food is very good and bar area is pleasant. Staff are superb. Overall a very pleasant stay for a very reasonable price. Only real gripe is that there are no sockets next to the bed which makes charging your phone overnight a real pain.

Considering traveling for work is normally such a nause this place actually soothed my soul a little... I was welcomed in such a familiar Southern Welsh accent (Gavin & Stacey) then given access to my room within a few minutes. Breakfast times, gym times and spa times were all verbally given to me as it was late.
So, the Spa. Absolutely beautiful, relaxing, quiet and a bloody warm pool, though I did find it a little odd walking through a bunch of already testosterone fueled gym bunnies to gain access it was very relaxing once inside. All the facilities you could ask for within a remote location. The breakfast was also lovely, with continental ready to go with a quick delivered cooked, with egg of choice, breakfast to follow. All around a lovely place.
