Excellent property! <3. Really really huge resort. Excellent and clean Beach. Golf court, swimming pool, children play area, reception everything is excellent. Over 50 options in breakfast, good food. Loved the resort and surely recommend in South Goa. Had a fantastic stay

Visited in Nov 2020, with family. Not up to expect...

Visited in Nov 2020, with family. Not up to expectations, it looks like a five star but service and attitude is between 3 and 4 stars at best. Know before going that you are perhaps better off with the TAJ or ITC rather than this one. We had aimed for ITC - but did not get the dates we wanted and took a chance on Caravela. Should have waited and gone to ITC or just done an airbnb instead.
1. I had specifically put a request for a first floor room with Ocean views (for which we paid a premium price) but this room was not given to us. After a lot of follow up it was finally given to us on the last day of our trip. I understand that sometimes the check in staff goof up, but a real five star makes up for this kind of blunder on their own. After expressing displeasure and unhappiness for missing out on the view we had expected (and paid for) Caravela staff still ignored us, and we had to ASK that they do something to make us feel better, at which point, a fruit basket and a few in house cookies and handful of cashews where sent to the room by duty mgr Diksha (she is under the impression she is helpful & apparently this is the"VIP Amenity kit" that she felt is ample compensation for us to lose out on our premium room which we paid for, booked in advance and confirmed twice. In the end they billed us for a la carte and after i complained that this wasnt good enough gave me a 5% on food ordered. That too I had to point out and demand instead of being graciously offered. This left a bad taste and impression in the end.
2. Bathrooms fixtures were broken, and the hand-shower leaked, you needed to turn the faucet off manually to avoid a drip.
3. On the last day when we did get the room we wanted in the first place we noticed that the first room did not carry the covid sanitization seal, and many amenities in the room and bathroom were missing, for eg an ironing board, a silicon bathtub slip mat.
4. Do not order a la carte / anywhere - they have. they simply do not serve enough. At the "beach hut " i pointed out the measly quality served for a started (pita bread and dip) literally 1 small piece of a pita quarter cut into micro mini bites, not enough for a 2 yr old even, and they said that no one complains about the quantity, and looked surprised that I had any objection. Again, even after saying that im surprised how this is supposed to be enough as a decent starter - there was no attempt to rectify / or offer any kind of concern, a real five star would say "how can i make this better for you" and go ahead and make it better. I'm sorry but if you are used to a real five star before in your life you are going to get increasingly annoyed at caravela.
5. Both check in and check out are painfully slow and a misrable drain on your nerves. It is something I cannot even venture to explain. You have travelled for hours, you need to ask for a welcome drink, yes ask for it. Your kid is crying but you need to ask them to hurry up and check your bags out, (even after informing 2 hrs in advance) It is just horrible. Both our check in and check out were painfully slow and full of blunders, at check in we had the wrong room, at check out it took 1 hour for them to get our luggage while we waited sweltering repeatedly asking them to hurry as we needed to drive back, and finally 1 bag did not arrive so we had to personally go back and get it. Also why did we not get them to come for the bags as we left the room because the rooms are far away about half a km from checkin and we did ask I waited 30mins in the room but the breakfast counter would have closed had i kept waiting some more.
6. Again, our request to have the wind-shied wiped down fell on deaf ears (we do not have enough staff) they just said go f yourself basically. Again the desk manager, and reception staff are to blame. Finally the durban helped out by asking a cleaning person who was watering the plants to hose down our windshield. It took about 3 seconds.

It was a best stay in this beach resort... Management was good, food was great and the hospitality was truely commendable. It's a highly recommendable resort to our dear ones. We would like to visit again here.

Renovation was underway. Facilities are not on par with 4 star or 5 star. The golf course is well maintained. The staff are very friendly. I was there during off season, probably that's the reason why the facility was under renovation. The food buffet caters to all and is good.

Excellent place to unwind. Pristine private beach with water activities, a golf course and a large pool. Great place to visit with kids.
Staff were friendly and food choices at the restaurants were nice.

Check out process takes way too long and the taste of coffee and tea at the restaurant can be improved.

Me and my husband were at Caravella Beach resort for our anniversary.. it was the best experience.. they made this a perfect 3rd anniversary.. :) staff are friendly and understanding.. food is great.. property is amazing with it's own private beach.. it's completely worth the money..

Resort with an attached beach, nice swimming pool both with bars. Beach has a hotel restaurant which is reasonably priced for sea food. Main hotel building is very beautiful. Breakfast buffet has wide options. Kids have an activity area for those who like creative stuff. Nice lawn and a golf course between the hotel n the beach. Ideal for those with family and want to enjoy the hotel.

Amazing place located at one of the most beautiful beaches of Goa. Hospitality and service is very good. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast Buffet has a lot of items to choose from. It is a very good place for couples and families. Very relaxing.

The resort is beautiful and has great hygiene standards so we felt safe staying there during the pandemic. The breakfast buffet is being served on the table, the private beach is well managed and the pool is closed.

I am giving a 4 star rating as we had a very below average service experience on the first day of our stay. The breakfast dishes ran out before time, our room had a twin bed instead of a queen bed and the room service for dinner took more than an hour and half and we eventually ate outside the resort. We brought this up to the reception staff and the restaurant manager. The reception staff didn't change our room but they had the twin beds joined together. The restaurant manager Conny however made sure that we felt extremely comfortable on the remaining days of our stay. He made sure the service was good and the food was served well and in time. He also checked on us and made sure we were satisfied with the service.

So while the first day's experience was a lil sour, I will give the resort management a benefit of doubt. Its a fact that we visited the restaurant immediately after it reopened post the lockdown. It does take a lil time to get the staff and services back on track and I appreciate that the hotel did get the service back on track really quickly.

1. Rooms are not up to the mark as you can see on the above link. The bathroom shower was not working, Sofas are dirty, finishing of the bathroom is so poor. it's not matching the 5-star experience.

2. They took so much time on the check-in process. They are not accepting a soft copy of the id proof. And then the room door was not opening during check-in. So we wasted our evening time. and not able to see the Sunset.

3. After 8 or 10 PM, they are not putting chairs at the beach. So we were not able to enjoy the beach at all.

4. Women in our group were wearing a Nylon swimming dress as per the decathlon brand. but they told it's a beach dress. so not allowed to the pool. even they don't provide any rented swimming dress. The dress changing room at the swimming pool area is pathetic. behavior of the swimming pool manager is very bad.

5. Power tripping at the room was happening frequently. I have complained about this at the hotel. their technician came and fix that.

6. During the breakfast, We need to wait to beside any tables to get vacant and cleaned to get a seat. so much crowd. after that, they don't have sufficient staff to serve the food on the table. getting a paratha on the table is very difficult. Food is also not matching 5-star experience.

7. we are the only member in their disco. they don't have any Hindi Bollywood song to play. it's a big disappointment.

Resort is conveniently located close to Fatrade. There are very good restaurants on the property and buffet has quite a spread for breakfast and meals. Lanai has live music in the evenings. Excellent swimming pool. One of the few good properties in area that can accommodate up to 3 adults and a child in a room. Resort has activities all day round and can keep kids occupied.
Beach is good and towels are provided. Third party has water sports - parasailing and jetskii.
Very prompt service always. House keeping responds within minutes, day or night.
Overall a great experience.

It's not only the property but the staffs that makes it five star. Start from f&b team to in-house dining team to room cleaning team... everyone is doing their efforts to make our stay memorable in this covid times special mention to Mr. Diniz, Ms lali, Mr Paul. Everyone is wearing the masks in the property except while eating the food and on the beach. Beach is like private beach...u will get towels , sand castle kit for kids so no need to carry anything from the room...only hotel guests are on the beach ..they have few activities for kids in afternoon to occupy them..

Along with a private beach of the resort!!
December and January i.e. Christmas and New year make it a delightful place.
At the season of winter, the place is a bit more crowded, and the service is slightly late

The property is huge! Well maintained. The beach is clean. Lots of activities for kids, adults as well as the elderly. Good food for vegetarians. You don't really get a 5star hotel feel though. Service is prompt inspite of about 190 functional rooms. Over all a good stay!

Stay was nice. Location was great. Rooms were very well maintained and very clean. Plus is that this resort had access to beach. Food was great but I felt it was way more costly. Transport to north Goa from this resort is very costly. Otherwise it would have been a 5 rating. Not to forget, it has an awesome pool. Lot of greenery as well. Had a great time. they have a great staff.

Thi happens to be my 2nd trip here in 4 months n the experience has been superb...ther welcome n hassle free checkin...rooms r very comfortable and the ambience is breath taking ...super clean beach n rides r amazing ...the staff is polite and helpful...I have been and will in future recommend caravella resort to friends n family....

We never thought selecting this resort at the time of booking would turn out to be the best decision ahead of this trip. Caravela Resort is the perfect example of a luxurious resort which I think no other resort or a 5 star hotel would even offer. An exemplary model of attraction with landscape gardens, extra clean beaches, villas. It has all the luxurious stuffs one could even ask for. Hospitality at every instance we experienced. A big thanks to Chef Amitava Paul who's one step ahead of ensuring to provide the exceptional services to the customer.
The specialty if this place is that the cuisine it offers is not repeated Everytime which binds every customer.

Would also like to Thank Simran Adhikari and Rahul Chopra for helping us during our stay unconditionally

Very nice stay at this hotel, be it staff, property, food everything was top notch. You won't feel like going anywhere as you will have private beach here good restaurants and amazing hospitality. Highly recommend.

Clean and absolutely gorgeous resort. Superfriendly, welcoming and kind staff with great places within the resort to hang out at. The beach is very clean compared to North Goan beaches. It's quiet and peaceful to just sit at the beach out here. Absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely recommend this place if you want to come to Goa just to have a quiet and peaceful time with your loved one(s) without too many people on the beach. Only drawback is that since it's situated in South Goa, there won't be other places to explore other than the resort. Not until a good 10kms at least.. But once you visit the resort, you won't feel like going anywhere else. So that's a plus point. But yeah. All things considered, this is definitely one of my favorite places to visit and will come back here soon!

Hotel is ok, but the service is way below the expectation as compared with other Ramada properties.
We stayed here for 2 nights....!!!
DAY 1. Reception was good, but the room was not clean and untidy. We had to call the room service to clean the room
Day 2. The room was not cleaned by the room service, when we reached hotel after roaming at other place in Goa. After repeated calling to the hotel room service manager the room was cleaned at 5:30 pm. This was worst part as I had to wait with my one year old child till the room was clean.

Breakfast is ok....!!! For lunch and dinner the hotel has limited option.

Hotel management is least interested in solving your problem.

Property was good, no dought, but the reception staff and service was very poor, not up to 5* service, i can give maximum 3* as per their services and the way they are handling the guests!! So irresponsible staff attitude!!
First of all they have given wrong room, not as per my booking, as per my booking the room was alloted 248,1st floor on special request while booking with mr. Bikram, and he assured that, at the time of check-in reception said not the same room available, as given to someone else, how come you can say that, anyway i have accepted, whatever it was for my own peace shake, don't want to start my vacation with arguments, check in to new alloted room no 174, went to took shower immediately, found no shower gels in bathroom, called up housekeeping, room service, the response received was not acceptable at all from 5* property resort, they said shower gels are not available, i can provide soaps, this was something back to back so disappointed experience, ask them to connect with duty manager, called up atleast 5 times from the room, no response.!! Hang down the phone two times after picking up, Got fade up , took shower somehow, then i was provided with few shower gels, after my shower was over!! Tell me guys honestly is it acceptable??
Then again during check out time , i have asked the reception,travel desk and duty manager mr. Sankar to provide me the cab(my pick up and drop was from resort itself) at 1630 hrs sharply as i was having flight at 1900 hrs / was awaiting at main gate for car since 1625 hrs , given three times reminder to get the car asap, otherwise i will miss my flight, pathetic experience again , then duty manager mr. Sankar came in to picture and intead of accepting mistake start excuses, somehow boarded the vehicle at 16:50 hrs, and thanks to mr. Vinayak, he somehow manage to drive us to the airport on right time, as there was so much traffic and blockage of roads b'c of vip movements.
Appreciate mr. Vinayak efforts!!
Guys please look in to it and assess yourself, don't wanna say anything more!!
