Raleigh-Durham International Airport offers international and domestic flights and is easy to navigate. Self check-in kiosks are easy to operate and baggage check-in lines move quickly. There are several quick options for food. Long term parking feels like a hike after the flight. Don't forget your spot!
Amazing Architecture designs and many destinations to got to. It also looks very modern. The service is great and everything is very clean. The service to London-Heathrow and Paris Charles - De - Gaulle is impressive from a small airport like this.
Modern airport with Free WiFi. There are more cafe and restaurants after security zone
I have traveled through a lot of airports including internationally. This one has been one of the more polite and respectful ones I have been to.
I've flown both in and out of most major international airports here in the states (LAX,MIA, DFW etc.) and by far this airport is probably the best airport I've had the privilege of being close to. It's really spacious and everything has an at home atmosphere when you enter the terminal. Not too crowded and check in usually takes maybe 10-15 minutes at the most depending on the airline company you are traveling with. Going through TSA is a breeze and staff is super friendly especially when a family is traveling.
Horrible airport. Rude TSA employees. A joke to get checked in for an early morning flight.
Very quick through TSA. Staff was very friendly and helpful compared to most airports.
It was easy to get to the terminals and a very well organized and nice airport. Only problem I had was I parked my car in the drop off section for 5 mins to say goodbye to my girlfriend who I hardly see since a long distance relationship and the traffic "police" argued with me saying I parked to long and needed to leave or he would give me a ticket, causing me to speed up my goodbye and not have a proper one. Other than that airport was great.
Very great airport. A lot of destinations, very friendly staff especially at American Airlines. Also the nonstop service to London Heathrow (LHR) is really great.
The terminal is modern. Bathrooms are very clean. TSA was friendly and efficient. We waited over an hour for our bags upon arrival. This doesn t seem unique to a specific airline, I noticed several comments about it on here. The rental car companies are off property and the Budget shuttle is very slow. On our return departure, the flight was delayed 40 minutes while waiting for...baggage to be loaded.
For someone who hasn't flown beforethis been a crappy experience not enough direction Or help when I arrived inside I was lost no one was around to help until the last second then the guy at the desk as rude
Good luck in terminal 2 arrivals. Traffic control has a complex. One of your people hit my window with their flashlight telling me to pull up and left a scratch. My husband was just dropping me off with no luggage. Literally 2 seconds. Dude made the drop off longer and damaged my car. Thanks!
Late flight pick ups at the crib are not crowded and no harrassment about you needing to move.
This is my favorite airport because it's small, clean and my very favorite thing the parking garage for premier or the 2nd best which is literally the same thing but taking an elevator up to 2nd floor instead of ground level is directly across from where you enter. They also have other 3 other less expensive options if you want to pay less but you need to take a shuttle. Plus we usually don't ever go anywhere for more than 7 days otherwise we Uber it there. This airport only has 2 terminals. I think one is all southwest and the other is all other airlines. They have a nail salon here, bar/restaurants, quick shops and the usual shoe shine and little stands. I also love the seat layouts at gates. Very new and spacious arranged like semi circles in some areas of your with a large party and want all sit facing each other. Also so far never met a rude person here. Everyone was always very professional and kind to us.
By far the best KBBQ in this area. New, clean, good meat selection, etc. But importantly, the staff is very attentive.
Great airport. Easy in and out and affordable fares as compared with similar airports on the SE Seaboard.
Love this airport but if your flight arrives late be prepared to wait and wait and wait. 3 stars. Would be 5 stars if I didn t have constant delays getting to the gate after arrival. Leaving is always a pleasure. arriving not so much.
Great clean airport with staff that is out of this world. If i have a choice between Rdu and Clt i would select rdu any day of the week.
It's a very nice airport. I wish the people mover had been working. Makes it a lot easier on senior citizens
Most concession businesses are closed but I was able to find one where I bought a sandwich and water. A mask is mandatory and it seemed there was 100% compliance.
Very easy to get through airport, TSA was quick, didnt need the 2 hours we gave ourselves prior to flight. Family bathrooms available which was great!
Great and convenient location. Easy to navigate inside and outside. Pretty quick invisible lines to check-in or baggage drop, but unbelievably long lines to pass TSA
Very clean and I felt safe traveling during the pandemic!
Enjoyed landing, being delayed and flying off again.
Best airport ever! Seriously they get you in and out in no time through security and I love it
I really like how the parking structure is in between the two terminals. Most of the time, I can find covered parking that is very close to the terminal access walkways. Terminal 1 is pretty old, but Terminal 2 is very nice and modern. In general, this airport has the best prices among the three major airports in North Carolina & we continue to see smart investment in things that are valuable to the traveler. Thank you!
The airport is beautiful and the security line a breeze. If you wanna have a couple drinks before your flight it's the best because your flight will always be delayed.
Modern airport easy to navigate, goodfood options, the only thing that sucked was you have to take a shuttle to the rental car locations.
Airport was nice. No skycaps. TSA agents were so unfriendly after the ID check, that I called for a supervisor (who was completely different)
Absolutely horrible. A large group of us were on a work sponsored trip to Jamaica. 3 hour flight to Charlotte. Weather was awful so we circled for an hour before being diverted to Raleigh/Durham. We sat on the plane for another 2 hours. Sat in customs and the international baggage claim for another hour. No ones fault. You can t help weather. But, they made a TSA crew stay to get us back through to get on another plane back to Charlotte. They were rude from the start. Extremely verbal about the fact the they had to stay. Seriously? You were getting paid weren t you? Like it s a good idea to complain to a plane load of tired, hungry and frustrated people. UNBELIEVABLE and SHAMEFUL!!!
One of my favorite airports to get in and out of! Not to big but has a lot of offer. Loved the Starbucks thats outside gate, we were get some coffee with my mama before she took off. Great place to kill some time while waiting for her board! Went the day after 4th of July and they were very efficient, tsa lines were moving!
The parking an be a pain in the *** sometime though clean and easy to navigate.
Peaceful, easy to get around. Not a lot of people. Nice new terminal.
I am very proud of Raleigh's airport! clean, convenient, and growing!
They do a good job here and the parking is very convenient
TSA need training on efficiency and curtosey. Overall, airport is easy to navigate and has decent food options, especially for early in the morning.
The airport is excellent, they treat military very well. Easy in easy out.
This is probably the slowest airport to deliver baggage of any across the Nation......really surprised at how bad they are.
The security process was quick and good. Airport very clean and personnel very friendly and helpful.
This is an unprofessional and poorly run airport. TSA agents are rude as soon as you approach them. One agent will tell you one thing and when you try to tell another one they just bark orders at your without listening. There is absolutely no reason to met with such attitude without prior conversation. I'm disgusted by the service here. I will avoid this airport at all cost from now on.
Landed via jet blue. First of all flight was delayed by an hour. Landed post midnight and then there was no gate available for plane to park. Had to sit in flight for more than an hour. This is ridiculous!
Sucks big time!
Pretty day to be landing Raleigh Durham International!
Overall, it's a decent airport. It's been pretty easy to get in and out of and we've lived outside of several major cities. So far I've only used Southwest to travel and that part of the airport seems to run smoothly. They could definitely do a better job when it comes to signage while driving to the various terminals. It's old and tired looking . Signage needs to stand out better than it currently does.
Flew out of here once and I didn t have any issues. I don t think that the experience was particularly memorable but that s kind of what you want with a flight right?
The facility was clean and easy to navigate. Prices to fly out of here were competitive.
Big, clean and really nice airport with a lot of stores, restaurants and cafes.
Very disappointed in this airport. For crying out loud this is capital of NC. The people that run this airport really need to get it together. The snow storm that hit the area the other day was bad . But the airport WAS NOT prepared. And that unacceptable. Roads were very bad...buses were still running on unplowed unsalted slippery roads. Very hazards condition...at which I felt the airport didn't care about the safety of the human race. I rode the bus to economy lot 3 ...and the bus slid twice! I asked the driver was going on and the driver replied...management won't take us off the roads. Not COOL at all. Someone could have lost their life. This airport has NO EXCUSE as to why they didn't make their roads safer. I'm going to have to do further DOT information finding. Because this situation needs to change and this airport need to really get it together. ALL LIVES MATTER!!!
Great experience, lovely airport and great stores to shop...
Was able to get checked in pretty quickly and through security fast. No real long waits
RDU is the Triangle's main airport. It's generally a good experience. Local government has invested over recent years and the results have been positive. I wouldn't recommend arriving late anywhere for a flight, but RDU has fast security lines and is easier to navigate than big city ones.
My recent Southwest Airlines flight was quick and relatively painless given the sometimes dehumanizing nature of air travel.
Sadly bereft of nearly any open amenities. One fast food joint...that's it.
As good as an airport can get. No complaints. I got dropped off so can t comment on the parking aspect.
Knights Transport drops off customers to RDU quite frequently. Great service.
Born and raised in Raleigh its been fun seeing this airport evolve. Never had any poor flying experiences.
They were very efficient and thorough. Very polite and although we were detained in the 737 plane for almost a half hour the Captain kept us well informed o what the hold up was.
Easy to use, food at restaurant is tasteless, but a little ranch dressing adds some flavor
Clean, organized, and friendly staff. Clear signage helps with making flights!
Great airport for foreign and domestic travel! I have traveled out and into RDU several times during peak travel times and the experience at RDU is one of the best! Each time, I have been able to get through the airport without any major delays. The airport is very traveler friendly and is not complicated to navigate.
Plenty of parking and a nice environment. It was also cheaper to fly here than to Charlotte
The old Terminal One at Rdu had a very dignified and beautiful chapel, and this is what it has been replaced with: a claustrophobic closet the dare to call a "meditation room". They must not have needed another janitorial storage room. It has hand-me-down chairs, the pulpit from the old chapel, which is an especially cruel mockery to see here, and some kind souls have left prayer rugs and a Koran, for those with the hardiness to pray in a place that is adequate for no prayer whatsoever. The message from RDU International Airport is clear: you can pray anywhere, or nowhere. Welcome to nowhere.
