Really, really nice senior center! Best around. Friendly seniors.
Being a volunteer here has given me a great start as new resident to Rainier. Food is delicious, people are wonderful, large variety of activities, and you don't have to be a senior to enjoy it.
The Rainier senior center is a fairly nice facility right by the river. It has many cottages as well for independent living with service available.
I honestly like the west Seattle senior center better. Rainbow bingo
Nice place to drop by for a budget lunch and chat with locals.
Friendly people. We arrived late for lunch and by late I mean over an hour and a half after their normal serving time. They served us a full lunch anyway which took them past their time and waited patiently for us to finish the meal before collecting our plates for cleaning. We filled out papers to join their MERRY group and plan to return whenever we can make it.
I play music with a group ther every Monday
And they have very good lunches. Stop in
11am to 1pm, enjoy lunch and the music!
Went to a holiday bazaar had some really nice things but was small
I've been going to the Senior Center on and off for many years. I took my Grandparents then just Grandma now my parents. My husband went for the first time today. We had wonderful music, awesome Pork Chops with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Peas & Carrots and Vanilla Cake. It was all perfect. The volunteers for the meal were funny and fast. Our fellow Seniors at the table were great to visit with. The building is still clean and looking nice. I totally recommend Rainier Senior Center.
I have heard of the kind people who work here, and enjoyed volunteering here when I went to Rainier high school. But when I called in reference to a possible lift chair for my father who has brain cancer, which I didn't mention, my call was answered by a fellow named "Aaron". He was terribly rude to me and not understanding at all about what I was asking. He was short with me and said "he wouldn't begin to be able to know where to look for that." And I thought.. "Really?! In a senior center?!" I was told to check there by a friend from a community service group I had previously been a part of, and was sorely disappointed and frustrated to get this reaction when I called the other day. When I had been told they do, in fact, make donations of this sort. Again, I know of many good employees there and the care they provide. But again, I was served with terrible and insensitive customer service from this particular employee. Bummer.
This center takes service and community to the next level. Excellent food and super warm atmosphere.
Meatloaf is a must have!! Staff are so nice!!
Very clean
Lots of variety. Closes at 2:30pm ... a bit early.
Great facility for a class reunion. Provided a good meal.
