Gerard went above and beyond late on a Monday night when we called him in a last diych attempt to find a solution for an alarm ringing for hours in an empty terrace next door to us for lease by Raine and Horne.
Gerard not only answered my desperate call at 10:30pm but even hopped in the car to come and find a solution. 10/10 customer service, going above and beyond for someone who isn't even a customer!

Absolute hassle to get anyone on the phone, nothing but drama to get in contact with anyone especially your property manager.
My dealings with Ana is always pleasant and she is always helpful on the phone when I pay my rent. She even remembers my property without me prompting her now as the interaction she of the over the phone is quite frequent.
Tiffeny and Laura at Raine & Horne Newtown have been very responsive and helpful during the lead up to my moving into my current rental property they manage in Refern. Also more importantly, during the period I've been settling in, they have continued to support my transition, ensuring the property is in good working order by addressing some minor repairs really promptly. This has been a refreshingly rare and pleasant experience for me in real estate!
Worst Managing Agent I have ever experienced as a tenant. Avoid them at all costs. After trying to get issues resolved for over a month after we moved in I had to call the CEO of the business and still no action. Avoid renting through them at all costs.

So far my experience with this office has been pretty dismal. Terrible communication, I have been trying to email and call about repairs for the best part of a month and the only time I've gotten their attention has been when it has come to a payment that needed to be made. Moved into a property that required repairs (that we were not privy to) that have effected the entirety of the lease. Very disappointing, don't really want to go through tribunal but is looking like the only option.

Beyond Exceptional
My experience with Michael Harris has been beyond exceptional. He has just sold my house (in 3 weeks) under the extreme conditions of COVID-19 where he seamlessly managed the daily evolving real estate restrictions to show my house safely and achieve the financial outcome I was looking for.

Agents take forever to get back to you, took over a month and the threat of legal action before i got my bond back because they just never got around to it despite me calling twice a week. All the positive reviews must come from landlords or people buying homes because they dont give a hoot about renters.
Being a Landlord, I have been a Raine & Horne customer for over five years. During that time, I have had both of my properties managed by Lydia Moles from the Property Management team. I have to say that the service that I have received has been outstanding. I have received updates following regular inspections of my property and even digital reports most recently. Raine and Horne Newtown, and their agent Kate treated us very poorly.
We made an offer on a house, it was accepted, and were set to exchange a few hours later. The delay was because "the vendor had to drive in from Western Sydney".
Knowing how agents work, Our lawyer asked for confirmation prior to doing the paper work and organising the deposit that the offer was agreed and that no other offers were not being sought. This was provided by Kate.
We engaged our lawyers, left work and organised the deposit. Turns out while we were spending our money and time Raine and Horne sought other offers.
We were Informed at the time of transfer. I have no issue with a vendor getting the best price. I have an issue with the agent who can provide a guarantee, cause me to spend money and waste my time.
I would not buy a house from this firm or use this firm to sell a house. They are untrustworthy.
Rented a Newtown property at a premium 850 per week. Had mould, water damage which the agent hid, told me would be cleaned. Horrible installation of a patio, had me and my wife putting our feet through wood when we went to do laundry.
The agent told me he told the landlord and that he knew, till I moved out and he inspected the property with me. Then I had to provide emails as he knew nothing, and he told me he would of had things repaired instantly if he did.
The agent the entire time was telling me it was the landlord, but we had email proof. The reception staff are not hired for any obvious talent and have lost paper work, have no idea how to do the simplest of tasks without forwarded to a project manager.
During the time I was looking for a new property the agent with raine and Horne offered to be a recommendation to help me get somewhere else. He actively bad mouthed me, even said things that weren't true to other agents. Until one agent actually told me this and said - "I had met you, and the things he was saying, were so mean I knew they weren't true" she gave me a home. That's customer service.
Good riddance Raine and Horne, the only contact I'll have with this company now is through NCAT. I recommend you avoid letting them rent your property or taking a property they rent - without taking 1000's of pictures before you move in, learn your tenancy rights!!! Never talk on the phone with them ( they will try to push you onto the phone ) just get ----everything---- in writing.
Then maybe they'll screw you and you can get them back like I am.
Just an update, The agent 'Marco Jung' has been fired, which is the smartest thing this agency has done. However, still watch your back.
