My family just spent a week at the ranch and loved EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. The whole week is full of beautiful scenery, great food, and great conversations. The horse program is amazing too! The owners (Doug, Linda, David and Jane) are super. Truly felt like a guest in their home as they take great pride in getting to know each guest personally. My family will definitely be back next summer. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. My kids (6,11,13) LOVED this vacation.

This in my opinion is the best dude ranch in Colorado. All the staff there are so nice. This was my 6th year but because of COVID I couldn't go this year, but still the best Dude ranch ever!!!

Our family just finished our third visit to Rainbow Trout Ranch for a week of horseback riding and fly fishing. It is truly an amazing place. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. At one point, I had managed to tangle some fishing line and was working to get it undone. A member of the staff happened to be driving by, stopped, and took the time to help me without any need to do so. That sort of service is the type provided every day. It really is an unforgettable place to relax and let the world go by for awhile. I look forward to returning again soon.

Took my non riding family on the trip of a life time. We have travelled the world and had the chance to try many things but this was the best family holiday we have ever had.
It can be tricky to entertain 3 teenage boys but not at Rainbow Trout Ranch. The staff were amazing , the authenticity of the owners made us feel so at home. We really were their guests, not just passing through. and they really cared about you having a great time.
If you have been dreaming about a ranch holiday I urge you to go to Rainbow Trout ranch . It has given us so many great memories. I hope to return.

Best Family Vacation We've ever taken! Great Staff, Spectacular Scenary, and Amazing Riding/Hiking/Fishing!

I have visited RTR 6 times and have already booked for a 7 th. Yes, it's that good! A family run ranch with the most amazing horse programme, it's set in glorious scenery in Colorado, with a first class fly-fishing river running through it. You stay in log cabins and can do a myriad of other activities besides riding and fishing - you can do trap shooting, go on a whitewater rafting trip, listen to a cowboy singer, do line-dancing, gaze at the stars and many more. Meals are taken in the magnificent lodge, by the pool or in the riverside picnic grounds. The staff are great - enthusiastic, friendly and well trained. The safety programme is second to none, and the horses are carefully matched to your riding ability, so everyone from complete novice to advanced riders, can enjoy the jaw dropping scenery at their own pace. It really is the holiday of a lifetime, but you may not be able to stop at one visit!

Working here has been one of the most magical experiences. It s great to know that places like this still exist. The outdoors, the horses, the people... it s always amazing. It makes me appreciate the present, and who I am with in the moment. I ve done multiple summers now, and I ve been treated incredibly by the Van Berkum family and their guests.
