Raffertys Resort Review

Good resort with a tennis court, pool, restaurant/cafe and other facilities.

Great value resort but showing signs of its age. Apart from that it has great facilities like multiple tennis courts and pools. Had a enjoyable holiday there and would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap holiday close to Sydney.

Raffertys resort itself is a good place to stay. The accommodation is of a high standard however 1 of the restaurants isn't so good. My partner and I are at the lakehouse restaurant and we're extremely disappointed in the steaks we received. After telling the waiter about this he said he'd tell the chef and still charged us full price for meals we couldn't eat. Very disappointing

We spent the worst time at Raffertys with torrential rain and received the best attention. Settled quickly into alternative accommodation we were very pleased with this facility. Grounds surrounding the whole resort was fresh and had a calming effect.
Lovely place to stay in better weather conditions. So much to see.

Everything is close, the lake, pools, cafes, boats and not far to the nearby beaches and shops. We really liked being able to laze hours away at the pools which except for one hot Sunday afternoon were calm. The lake side got a bit hectic, as did the main pool, but we were here in January school holidays. But even with that it was easy.
There are tennis courts and BBQs which make cooking easier. Our friends had a place just across the road with a valley view. Our villa was right in the middle with nothing to see but other residences. So get in early and check the map to book carefully.
Kitchens lack the simplest of condiment, and have a low number of cleaning sachets. Again our chalet had no oven and no dishwasher, or bath tubs. Our friends had all of these.
The onsite cafes are convenient and friendly, but the menus lack freshness.
All in all a really easy place to stay, just a little bit crowded.

2 stars for the town house, outdated mouldy and smelt bad. Don't waste you're time.
BUT if you choose this place a friend got the room with loft. Very modern, spacious and amazing....

No wifi in the room, but you are here to relax...so internet detox is not a bad idea. The rooms are more like above 3.5 - 4 stars. But good enough for a relaxing few days.
Awesome facilities, great maintained tennis courts, 3 swimming pool! Friendly people, quiet residents!

Great location and the grounds are beautifully maintained. It's a shame the actual accommodation itself was dirty, old, and desperately in need of either a good cleaning or total renovation. Musty smelling rooms. Carpet that made your feet brown. Worn down furnishings. Cobwebs everywhere inside and outside. Toilets that don't flush properly. Really disappointing and not remotely worth the price. Avoid this place until they spend some money to bring it up to speed.

This resort has everything a family getaway needs. Four swimming pools , tennis courts. A lakeside beach for the kids to play in. The cafe is open all day and Swansea is only 9 kms away. Lots to do in the local area.

Rafferty s Resort is an amazing family Resort right on Lake Macquarie. It s just over an hour north of Sydney and about 30 minutes south of Newcastle. With swimming 4 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, 2 restaurants and cafe, private jetty, boat hire, paddle board hire and more, there is so much to do or just just sit back and relax. Highly recommend this place! 5 Stars!
