After a long travel to get to raf st mawgan weary from my travels i arrived to be lead to my acomadation for the week. Upon first look i was not over or under whelmed , the heating and hotwater worked the first night but for the remainder we had zero heating or hotwater shriveled up like a cheeky peanut .

The scoff house well now this is where the fun begins. Portions sizes fit for the smallest of children . The food was consistently over or under cooked . There was more variety in the left over rations box with rice and mushroom omelette.
On one occasion i had a chicken burger that a good vet would have no trouble bringing back to life . The bead bun that incased my blood soaked wing still flapping heart still pumping chicken burger was what i can only call diabolical due to being 50% raw dough 40% human waste 10% experimental.

My conclusion is that this is one of the best kept secrets in cornwall and should remain hidden for ever . 0/10

What an incredible place, thank you Martin for so much fun and all the stories. We were stranded at the time with no car due to difficulty with the car and staff were so wonderfully helpful! What a team the volunteer's are! Everyone from the cafe to the aero staff nothing too much trouble! Everyone so knowledgeable and great fun stories with so much to see and do. So sad that covid has put pay to bring able to sit in the machines but the one way system works really well. Thank you Richard I think in the reception/shop for all your advice great the way you explained so much to us. Lots of wonderful things, planes and helicopters to see, TV's to watch with information all about areoplanes, where they have been what missions they have been on and when they were last used. A fantastic visit and we will be returning again for sure. Please go and support them all you won't be disappointed

My first posting after basic training in 1982 ( although immediately detached to RAF Portreath) Had a great 3 year tour of duty. Came back in 1993 to undertake the Sea Survival course as part of my VC10 cabin crew course. Lovely memories.

I was stationed here in 1969. 1st station out of basic , had about 3yrs here .it like a holiday camp, what with so many beaches to go to and Newquay just down the road, absolutely enjoyed it. Absolutely recommend the local area to stay and visit.
