The price sold me, and the fact it's right across the road from the Energy Solutions arena. The room felt a little small to me. We switched on the heating for the room and man is it loud. I'm a pretty good sleeper but every time that came on it woke me up.
It's OK for a night but I think if it was a longer stay I would shell out some more cash for a better hotel (or one that the heating doesn't wake me up).
For the price it's not bad though.
Beautiful renovation, love the staff and the service! Will recommend
The room was very nice but beware don t leave anything behind they have people with sticky fingers that will take your item. It s sad that the honesty is gone and people feel they deserve to keep something left behind.
If I had a choice, I would definitely not stay at this hotel.
Small room, uncomfortable beds, someone blaring music all night. Not restful at all, would have expected this at Motel 6, not here. Doesn't even include a breakfast. Not ever coming back.
Can't complain, came in because of a flight delay. The worker got me settled into a room in no time. The bed was comfortable and good to sleep on. The temperature control was easy to navigate and the bathroom was clean and came with typical emenities. No complaints. Pictures were taken after I left.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
- Rude and poor service/workers
- DIRTY everywhere
- Black hair on the sheets and pillows
- Breakfast is a JOKE and food that should be stored in cold temps are left out for hours at - -- room temperature
- Homeless population within a hundred yards of the front door
- Musty, gross odor throughout
- No safety license posted in the elevator which is extremely dirty
- Towels all had stains on them
- Manager yelling at house keeping in front of customers
- Refusal to give a receipt upon checkout despite a deposit hold
- Absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in
- Not even deserving of a one star!
I would stay here again, it's clean and close to the airport. And has a shuttle.
Lovely hotel nice staff huge rooms lots of FREE parking close to airport lot of food outlets nearby
Nice and very comfortable rooms.
Very clean!
Restaurant downstairs serves nice breakfast options in the morning.
We stay here frequently, and have guests and friends stay here, too.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Good breakfast. And the saphire bar and grill is reasonably priced with good food and open till 11p. There is also a free airport shuttle. Some of the rooms are pretty average, but some of the rooms are really nice. The only complaint I have is that the internet service is spotty at best. There is a taco bell, carls jr., subway, wendys, a gas station, anf a sushi place by the gas station that is really good, all within walking ditance.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Everything I needed was nearby. Breakfast was buffet and great. The server was beyond amazing. The rooms and room service are pretty average. The pictures on the hotel website are pretty accurate. Nice and comfortable beds. There is a smaller pool on the ground level, but no hot tub.
The worst hotel in salt lake city. So I had the paper on the bed to change the sheets and everything but they didn't even change anything in my room. I will never stay at this hotel again!
I stayed at The Radisson SLC Airport Hotel on Dec 8 and 9. I was pleasantly surprised by everything, but disappointed but just one thing...how COLD my room was. Everything, including my room, was exceptionally clean, the lobby floor absolutely gleamed. The breakfast was delicious, the room had everything I needed, including a microwave, the shower was nice and hot with plenty of water pressure, the staff went above and beyond. Adora at the front desk was especially helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
The only thing that could be improved would be the heating. My room on the first floor was very cold, especially next to the windows...I could feel a large draft coming in, even though outdoor temperatures were in the mid to high 30's. The front desk man on Saturday evening put a portable heater in the room for me, without it I couldn't have stayed (this with the heat in the room set at 85).
Please improve just that one thing!
Got woken up early due to a fire in the garage... car fire. Normally if theres a fire the alarms keep going off but this one went off like nothing happened. Then after we heard the fire truck is when we knew we should go outside. Rooms are old. Water stains on the ceiling. The room phone doesn't work I dont reccomend
Stayed here twice on trips through the area. Rooms have been nice and clean each time. Only drawback is there are no food options within walking distance.
This hotel was extremely disappointing. The staff was all friendly, but our one night stay was awful. The ac didn't work, the bed was like sleeping on a brick and the was wallpaper falling from the walls.
The Best! Downtown location is Awesome. I have stayed there multiple times they give great customer service and it's my favorite place to stay when I'm downtown Salt Lake City.
The staff for some reason didn't have my credit information on file after I checked in. So the front desk calls to ask for it over the phone. Then the elevator breaks. Then my key card gets deactivated. Finally, the AC breaks and there's no fans or any way to lower the temp and the front desk says they don't know when it'll be fixed. Its summer and 80 degrees outside. This place has gone from bad to horrendous in 2 days.
If you hate sleep, this place is for you! Loud highway next door, train horns in the middle of the night, and thin walls/ceiling. But it's a clean bed and sometimes that's all you need.
Clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere. They even give free wine and beer on weekday evenings. It's next to a busy road and Trax, which makes it a little noisy.
Very nice hotel, big building and big bedrooms. We stayed for couple nights, bedroom was large and fairly luxury and we were very pleased with overall feel & quality. We haven't tried their restaurant as it seemed overpriced, rather we ate in town and requested microwave instead.
We had an excellent Customer Service. Thank you so much for your help.
They let us extend our check-out time. Also, the beds are comfy.
Radisson is a charming old hotel. We stayed overnight. The reception staff were very friendly. Knowing that we were from overseas, she took time to orientate us to the area and also suggested places that we can visit and eat at.
Comfortable room with fireplace and kitchenette. Staff courteous and friendly!
Spacious room with a king-sized bed for my partner and I while we were traveling for work on a music and comedy tour. Such a relief after a long drive that day and a hard night s work! Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Beautiful front lobby and good location. We were off on the road the next day, but what a refreshing stay to reset before our next show!
The staff really went out of their way for me. I was a very high maintenance customer while I was there, and they didn't mind! The gym sucked and there was no recycling, but other than that it was a good place for the price. It is on three bus routes, which was convienent, and its directly on the light rail line that goes between downtown and the airport (slated to open April 2013).
Fire alarm kept going off, shower was cold, don't recommend
We always stay here when flying out of Salt Lake. This time it wasn't quite as wonderful. The lobby area is beautiful but once you leave that area you can see the age of the hotel. Our bathroom has grout popping out in chunks on the floor. The shower faucet and handle were loose and would move out of the wall. The walls and door trim were dirty and need some painting. The bed was comfortable. Although there were these few issues, we will still stay here in the future.
The employees were excellent at all levels. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the attendant was phenomenal. The room was clean and cozy. My one complaint is that whenever the HVAC came on it made a loud click\pop that woke me a couple times. Other than that great!
12/26/2016
Only got 2 hrs of sleep due to excessive noise (loud music, yelling, and hitting wall) all night from adjacent room.
Spoke to front desk 4 times from ~9pm to midnight about our concerns of having to be up at 3am to get to the airport.
Very unprofessional and unhelpful persons at front desk saying there was nothing they could do about it and call Ali the manager the next day if we had a problem.
Will never stay here again and hopefully no one else has to go through what we did.
This place was great! Food was excellent and staff friendly!
I ve stayed here more times than I can count, I love this hotel because of its location and the fact that it s pretty inexpensive for a night or two, and it has been recently remodeled and it is beautiful.
However, this most recent stay of ours was pretty disappointing, we had a family with some pretty young kids running up and down the halls above us and our level as well.We were fine with it until it hit 2 am and the kids were still running and screaming up and down the hallways. We had called the front desk on a couple of occasions to assist with this and even talked with the clerk who said he d take care of it. Nothing was ever done to resolve the problem.
Convenient to airport with shuttle. Clean. Nice rooms. Has restaurant and bar.
Low key ghetto. Many small repairs needed throughout. Breakfast consisted of 2 small packaged muffins and an orange juice. Definitely room for improvement all around.
Please forgive the long-winded review. The Radisson hotel at SLC Airport customer service is possibly the worst I have ever experienced from a major hotel chain.
I booked two rooms for check in 9/11/2020. When i arrived at the hotel i thought it was very strange, as the lobby was quite dimly lit, and there was no one in the lobby or at the front desk, restaurant, or lounge.
I stood at the front desk for a few minutes, and finally started saying hello, hello is there anyone here. A few minutes later, a gentleman came out of the back area, carrying a piece of paper, and asked if i had a reservation, i said yes i have a reservation for two rooms. He checked his list and said ah yes you re I see your name. I m sorry to tell you, but the hotel cannot accept any reservations currently . He explained that there had been a big storm, and that only the lobby had power. I was a little put off by that, as we had driven 8 hours that day, and there had been no email/phone/SMS OR any communication from them stating that there was a problem and that we would to have find a different accommodations. I asked him why there had been no notice or communication with us regarding the cancellation of our reservation. He simply said, sir because there is no power, we can t not call, we cannot access our PC s. I got mad at this point. This is 2020, just because this site has NO power, does not mean that Radisson's GLOBAL reservation desk could not have contacted its customers .
I asked if my reservation had been refunded, and he said they would take care of that. Or at least I think he said that as I am hard of hearing and masks don t help, lastly, he had an accent which also didn t help.
A few days later I checked my account, and did not see a credit for the hotel, so I called Radisson Reservations. They called the hotel, and they did not answer, so they gave me a confirmation # and said they would have this resolved within approximately 7 days. 17 days later, no emails, no calls, no refunds I called the hotel and spoke with Nadeem, I explained the situation to him, and stated he would go talk to his boss and put me on hold. About 5 minutes later the phone rang, and the next person at the desk picked up the phone and said yes how can I help you? so, I told him I was waiting on Nadeem, and he said can you explain the problem to me? This gentlemen s name was Sagar I believe. Basically, I spent the next 5 minutes getting angry Because all they could tell me was to contact AGODA which is the travel company I use to book my room. My reasoning is that AGODA didn t cancel, AGODA did it s job, Radisson SLC Airport Hotel is the company that failed I do not hold them accountable for weather, BUT I do hold them accountable for NO communications, providing NO help to their customer.
As the customer my expectation is that the company makes this right, I was not asking for anything, other than them to facilitate my refund. To be clear, I booked through a booking company, but the booking company didn t cancel my reservation, they created the reservation, the hotel should have informed them that they had to close because severe weather, and started the refund immediately. This was all avoidable if the hotel had just done the following:
1 notify the CUSTOMER that they could not honor the reservation
2 initiate a refund process via their partner networks
I am fortunate, Im one of those guys who travels frequently for both business and pleasure. I have stayed countless nights around the world, I can say this. You lost me as customer for both business and pleasure, as I cannot trust you to do the right thing.
Old but clean place to lay your head! Staff very friendly.
No one is at the front desk to check us in. We waited for half an hour and searched every corner just to find a person. Still no one.
Was decent, bed was alright. They only shuttle to and from airport. The outlets on both bedside lamps didn't work.
Nice and quiet location, a little awkward getty to the hotel
Your hotel is very clean and quiet. All the supplies are neatly arranged
This used to be a favorite for SLC airport accommodations. The hotel was in the middle of remodeling and it looked like a downgrade taking a distinctive design to boring. We did not have hot water. They were able to fix it after 30 minutes. The next morning we didn't have hot water again and the accommodation from the front desk was to let the water run for 10-15 minutes. That was frustrating and a huge waste of water but it eventually got hot. We won't return.
Very nice old world style hotel. Decent rooms. Make sure you like sleep number beds before you get one in your room.
Had a rough day with traveling. Checked in late and Lena was the best! She made sure our stay was comfortable. Went above and beyond with helping us with our bags! She also gave us a free breakfast coupon just to lighten the load. Breakfast attendant in the morning was also the best! Greatest hotel experience during my long trip
Check in was close to 30 minutes
Room smelled of urine
Damaged walls
It was most excellent! Cheerful service, clean room, comfortable stay!
Zero stars. Hotel is undergoing renovations, fine. Hallways torn up, no carpet, ok. Heat is blasting when we get into the room after a 4.5 hour drive. We were told to turn it off and open the windows. An hour later, still about 85 degrees. We call the front desk, are told to open the windows. We ask to move rooms, they say they can try, but the heat is messed up in the entire building. The bed is in a loft, so it s even hotter. We call down an hour later after it hasn t improved to ask for a fan. We are told they will look for one, and are hung up on. No confirmation. No information on if a fan is found, if we have to come get it or it will be brought up. Meanwhile, constant traffic outside our open window and still 85 degrees in the room. Absolute worst nights sleep before an early and long flight.
Stay was perfect, they renovated the place but i kinda like the older version.
I called the shuttle immediately after making this reservation (We were stuck in Salt Lake City overnight unexpectedly) and was nonchalantly told that it would be there soon. We called every 20 minutes and were told the same thing.
Finally after an hour and a half we gave up and told him just to cancel our reservation. At this point all other hotels were sold out so we had to book it into the airport so we weren t stranded on the street for the night.
Very good! Breakfast is excellent! Nice and friendly
Absolutely awful. I wish I could post pictures to show just how awful it was. The elevator lobby was flooded with water just falling out the ceiling. I thought they were going to take care of it but come the next morning, the water had just sat and continued to build. Awful customer service with front desk attendants who couldn't get off thheir phone to give my husband time of day. I'm mostly frustrated with how misleading the picture online are. The hotel looks beautiful online but looks like a junkyard in reality. Will never be coming back. Oh and a $12 break feast. And a broken pool (which we were told would be up and running by morning--it was not)
Stayed a few nighta, they are remoddeling the location. Nice, clean, friendly.
The room was very nice in appearance. The windows were large as were the beds and the whole room itself. The bathrooms were incredibly small especially considering how spacious the room was. The price was incredibly good as I booked last minute but I do wish that they included something for breakfast as most places do continental breakfast for free with room purchase. I also wish there was not a closing hour for the hot tub as I did not arrive until late and unfortunately was not able to use it at all. The very last thing that I can say about this hotel is that it was quite cold and the heater in the room did not really work at all nor did the beautiful fireplace produce much heat.
Clean rooms, great price, great location. The rooms are outdated, but that's not a big deal to me.
We were turned away from staying here due to our service animal. Not only was it rude, but it is completely illegal (they have papers, actual ones from a real therapist. Not the fake ones from online people sometimes use). They also insisted that we told them the disability for them to even consider letting us stay there. We refused and were sent away. Completely illegal.
We were treated so well by melanaite! We appreciated her help so much!
