r&r coffee cafe Review

This is my first visit. Hours listed on the website are wrong so had to leave and come back. Coffee is great, breakfast burrito is ok at best and way over priced for what you get, but service was pretty poor. They make you wait outside for takeout orders which is no big deal but I had to go back inside after waiting 20 minutes for my food. Out of sight out of mind I guess. When I did go back in my food was sitting on the counter for who knows how long. If I go back I ll stick to coffee only.

Visiting from MN and a local showed us this place. Retutned on our 2nd trip. Awesome food and awesome coffee!

I was not impressed with this place. Went for the biscuits they are known for and they were out of them at 10am on a weekday. Settled for something simple. When my food came my bacon was lukewarm and potatoes were cold and dry, totally inedible. My son had corned beed hash and the meat was dry and unimpressive. Not worth the price they charged for this food.

A smidge pricey but the Bob's breakfast sandwich and caramel coffee were delicious. Service was excellent and friendly. It was super cute inside. I actually hate saying this because I loved it so much, but the uhpolstry could use a redo. It's looking pretty worn in places and not in a good way. I would highly recommend with that one caveat.

Food is great and service is great. The people working are very friendly!

One of my favorite breakfast places... Until reopening with the new regulations. Made a reservation and had to stand outside and knock to be let in?! 20 minutes to put in our order at the door, then I had to wait 15 minutes standing at a rug for a drip coffee away from my party. Food served on paper plates and plastic silverware packets. If this is dining out now, I won't waste my money.

if you come here on sunday, expect to wait over 1 hour sitting at the not bussed table

We went here for Mother's Day and it was not that crowded. After standing in line and ordering our food we sat down. Then an hour later our food FINALLY came out. And greatly enough they messed up our order. The manager made excuses to why the orders were wrong, and proceeded to correct the problem. 20 minutes later the right order came out and we still received little to no apology. I do not advise this restaurant if you want friendly efficient service and good food.

My family and I enjoyed R&R's brunch today. My wife had the salmon mousse crepes, my son enjoyed the green chili burritos. Now look, we're all adults here, so, I'm going to say something adult, orgasmic. There it's said. My blue cheese burger with added bacon and avocado was, well, orgas...., really good. My wife said that her salmon mousse was, "really nice" too, but she says that about her orgas....s too. (I'm sure I'm doing things right). My 16 year old son enjoyed his burrito too, without to much detail. Just a glazed look in his eyes.
I want to thank the staff at R&Rs for making our experience this enjoyable. It is rare this day and age to get service and food this exceptional. Thank you!

Quaint little coffee shop that also serves breakfast and lunch. Best coffee I have ever had! Great spot to sit and chat or read a book.Order at the counter then grab a seat. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved our visit!

Excellent coffee place to meet up with friends. My chocolate crepe tasted really good and enjoyed my lavander italian soda. It was totally differnet, floral and refreshing.

We love the coffee! The cinnamon rolls hit the spot! Can't wait to get back to R&R.

The service is horrible and has been since it moved across the street. It took over half an hour to get a cinnamon roll, white mocha and two hot cocoa. The first cinnamon roll was so hard and dried out I sent it back, we couldn t eat it. The second one was only marginally better. The coffee was good but shouldn t take half an hour to make. Won t be coming back anymore.

This is our favorite place for breakfast! All their ingredients and fresh and local, and it shows in the quality of their food. The breakfast BLT is especially good! This place is great- a hidden gem 10 minutes away from the Springs.

Glorious coffee, wonderful food and fantastic service. I m only sorry that I m not in Black Forest more to eat at this hidden gem.

Friendly, fun service. DEELISH garden omelette with roasted veggies, fresh spinach and herb cream cheese! Served with two slices of toast and a generous portion of home fries! Love the tea and coffee selection, too.

This cafe is located in the Southern part of Black Forest. The building is pretty amazing and the views outside and around are awesome. The staff was really friendly and the service was good. My cons about it were that it is pretty pricy for what you receive compared to what you would pay at an IHOP or Denny's. The other con I had was the library area. The room is really cool, however it is absolutely filthy in there. The red chairs under the cushions are full of dirt, food, and hair. There was dog hair all on the seats. The floors look like they hadn't been swept in months. Because of these items, it is an average place in an above average location.

What a FUN place! The staff was great and the food and drinks were so delicious! Mammoth muffins and you ve got to try the BLT Crepe! **update - came back for a visit and had the pulled pork burrito and the pork was delicious.

This has great coffee and food. Mostly locals and even have a game night every month.

As this place was right next to a nursery and sort of in a rural area, I didn t expect it to be so hipster. It was very overpriced. Coffee was decent but the food was unimpressive. We wouldn t go back or recommend it.

Just discovered this wonderful little place. It's clean and cozy, with friendly, efficient help. Early morning, I ordered a T.A.B.L.E. Sammich which exceeded my expectations -- it was wonderful ! And the bottomless cup of coffee, Forest Mist Blend was my choice. Two thumbs up -- I'll be looking forward to trying other menu choices!

Never Come to this place if you are a person of color. Everything seemed normal at first however. There were several patrons that walked in and ordered food after we did, 4 tables to be exact. All those who ordered after us were served first. Maybe a 10 min wait time at the most. Our food took nearly 30 minutes to be brought to our table and believe me there was nothing special about what we ordered a sandwich, and two breakfast plates. The ignorance of people who are so limited in true understanding especially in the day and age we live amazes me.

Not to mention a cup of regular coffee is $4. Believe me you can do better!!

Great and unique coffee! Even though I was vague when asked how I wanted it ground and it didn t work well with my coffee maker, they were more than happy to re grind a bag that worked better for me.

We eat here weekly & are ALWAYS satisfied. The entire staff are friendly, inviting & always make you feel like you family. Corned Beef Hash & Cinnamon Roll French Toast are my FAVORITE entrees.

First time here, and I was NOT disappointed. Such a cute little space. What a lovely set up and atmosphere. Coffee is amazing and food is definitely delicious. You will not regret stopping by. Staff is so welcoming and easy going. The orders take a little extra time but not much, because everything is timed and cooked perfectly. The cashier was a sweetie pie. :)

Great service, just dont get the pancakes. Had nice texture but no flavor! Unsure if we will come back. A little pricey for food quality.

Normally when I come out to these remote towns - I look forward to a good breakfast before driving home. Now I m driving home hungry. Why? Because they overcharge for small portions, and the food that I ate was just... bad. Also didn t need the cooks smart remark as we were getting refunded.

Ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, with Eggs and Bacon. Everything came out to us very quickly and it was excellent, fresh made, food. The coffee I ordered also came in a giant mug, meaning I got my fill of caffeine. Excellent and friendly staff plus a comfortable and very modern but relaxed atmoshpere make this a great place to stop for some breakfast or lunch.

As always R&R is delightful. My GF almond muffin and fruit cup we're wonderful. My cappuccino was great with a kitten design in the froth.

The smothered breakfast burrito with cheddar and provolone is simply outstanding. The one pan breakfast is also a great way to start your day --- along with some Forest Mist coffee.

Great place to work remotely or get breakfast. All the food is made inhouse from scratch including the bread that is baked each morning!

We were super excited to try this place, because of all the reviews. We waited for over 35 mins for our food. And we re super disappointed with the taste and quality. Our pancakes were burnt on the bottom, biscuits and gravy was cold, and they forgot our eggs and bacon. The service was poor, I wouldn t recommend wasting your time or money. It was expensive and not worth it.

I have been coming here for years. They always have good food. I love the omletes my wife loves the all day club. They roast their
own coffee!! Definitely a must try.

Decided to come here on a whim. Relaxed atmosphere, with art hanging throughout the cafe. Offers up nice selection of breakfast and coffee.

I had the breakfast sandwich which was a little sweet and savory (espresso rubbed bacon with lettuce) and a blended "caramel happiness."

The coffee had a unique flavor I have rarely tasted, but it was light and hints of caramel. My wife enjoyed their chai tea, I could smell the spices of it before they placed it on the table.

Super yummy food and great locally roasted coffee. Really enjoy the atmosphere too. A bit pricy, but I'd say it's well worth it for the occasional get away treat.

Great customer service! Indoor and outdoor seating. Huge coffee bar and coffee selection. Delicious food. Definitely a must try. Will be back when we visit Colorado again!

I had an iced pink rose lemonade and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! The staff was friendly and courteous and the atmosphere was fantastic with a gigantic forest setting mural covering most of the upper dining area.

I've never been disappointed! The coffee is always delicious and every meal I've tried gets the seal of approval. One of my favorite places in the Springs.

This is one of my favorite places for great coffee and a breakfast sandwich that is to die for! The staff is always amazing and they are following county and state guidelines for Covid-19. The pricing is resonable and if you leave hungry, it is because you didn't eat! So, next time you are looking for great coffee, great food, and reasonable prices I highly recommend this little gem in Black Forest.

Oh my goodness. Hands down the best breakfast i have ever had!!

The food was great, you can really tell the cooks take the time to make sure you food is the way it's supposed to be, the coffee is also good. However, not much can be said for the service. We came in and waited at the cashier for at least 5-10 minutes, which I could understand as it was busy. The food beat our drinks out by quite a while, we were well into our meal before someone barked our number and drink order. Overall, the food was the highlight of our visit. The cooks there move like they've been drinking the coffee they sell and had our meals ready in more than reasonable time. However, I only saw two of them through their window and they still had our food out before the 5 employees at the coffee bar, put a damper on our breakfast.

The food is always fresh and delicious. It is not to be missed for breakfast! I love that they have gluten free pancakes, and gluten free pastries. I also love that they source locally as much as possible! They have a lot of unique coffee concoctions that are worth trying. I highly recommend a visit. Make sure to check out the mural in the dining room while you are there!

Great coffee! Options for any taste, even crazy 10 shot drinks. Friendly country atmosphere with friendly staff. Went for breakfast and really enjoyed it, good sized portions. Careful ordering the cinnamon rolls and burrito. Parking a somewhat limited.

Ordered a Tiny s burrito and it had no meat and was almost all potatoes. Very expensive for nothing!

Good coffee friendly service. It's a bit pricy but it blows Starbucks away all day. Plus they got breakfast. Witch I look forward to trying.

The absolute best black coffee in the county. And their food is excellent too - can't beat it!
