This was one of the best tourist things I've done in this city. My mom and I went on a Saturday afternoon, and due to the rain/drizzle- we had a PRIVATE TOUR! It was the BEST guided tour- so informative, well done, and friendly. I would do it again in a heartbeat. There was even a bathroom on board. This is a real gem, for natives and tourists alike.
Good time and learned a lot of the grain mill history in Buffalo. Well worth the money.

Great history told along the Buffalo River. Scott imparted a lot of knowledge interwoven with mystery and intrigue! Captain Dave took us on a beautiful ride up, down and out of the river! Highly recommended for a very enjoyable way to learn more about Buffalo's History!
Now THIS is how you gotta see Buffalo, and silo city! Very relaxing ride down and up the river, super knowledgeable tour guide and very great scenery and sightseeing!
I have done multiple boat tours including Chicago and this one was as good as any. Great history of Buffalo as a whole as well as all the industry that used to be there. Highly recommended!

Spectacular tour! Appropriate for both tourists and locals. My father has lived in Buffalo 65 years and said all of the information was new to him. Our tour guide did an excellent job of narrating historical fact through entertaining stories. Highly recommended. One note though: we went on the 4:30 tour which was perfect. It seemed like the 5:30 tour was on a much smaller boat, but the website doesn't seem to distinguish between the two.

The Silo Tour was so nice and informative. It was a beautiful day on the river and the walking portion of the tour really gave so much insight into the river industries. Our guide Bruce was fun, energetic, and had great personal stories.
The captain and crew were full of knowledge. The service was great and the ride was well worth it.

Very interesting tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, our captain was very friendly and handled the boat expertly and our bartender made a mean Bloody Mary. A very enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.

I've been on the historic grain silo tour many times. I take everyone who comes in from out of town on that tour. The staff is always friendly. The docents have great historical knowledge and can always answer my difficult questions. I strongly suggest this on a bright summer day.

My family and I took the historical tour on the Buffalo River and could not be more impressed. Mike is truly an asset to the community and his knowledge of local history is vast. It was so much information that I plan to take this tour again in the future. The tour was not only informative but very pleasant and the captain and crew were extremely hospitable!
So much fun! To be honest I thought a History tour would be a little boring but it was very interesting and the guide was cheerful and engaging. The boat was clean and well maintained and there was plenty of space. I also liked that they had a bar on board. It was a great way to spend a sunny afternoon in Buffalo.
Kids (10 & 13) weren't expecting much from a history tour, but they LOVED it! I was happy, they learned something, and it was a great day out. I highly recommend it.
Outstanding tour. Our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and the boat crew were all really friendly. Very enjoyable tour where you learn a lot about Buffalo's waterfront history while sitting in the sun, taking a boat ride, and sipping a cocktail. My kind of day! Really nice way to spend the afternoon.

If you are brand new to the Canelside, then you must get a guided tour. You wouldn t want to miss any of the important and historical spots.
My Mom & I took the Buffalo River Cruise August 19 had a great time Mike Cassella the tour guide was excellent. The crew was very professional and attentive . We will be back again.

I have been on 2 of the boat cruises in the past month and cannot stop sharing the experience with others! The perfect way to experience Buffalo's scenery and waterways. Both staffs were friendly and Kate, who gave us the 'tour' of the silos, was funny, bright, and the perfect guide. Everyone in WNY should experience one of the boat tours at least once!

GREAT tour guide, giving us a mix of the large-scale history (connection between the Erie Canal and the Louisiana Purchase, the Irish Potato Famine causing an influx of immigrants) and hilarious local anecdotes ("Finally they find a witness saying the watchman had left his post to go see his gilfriend. And that witness. . . was his wife.").
Nice tour. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging. Kids had a great time. Open bar, pop, and snacks available for purchase.
What a great experience! We did the Silo City tour which started out on the boat, and got to do a walking tour of some of the silos downtown. Ellen, our tour guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and personable. She was able to answer any questions we had. There is a lot we didn't know about the history of Buffalo and the silos. Highly recommend checking out this tour!

Great experience!!! Well worth the cost. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny. The staff from beginning to end was accommodating and friendly. Already have plans to check out their other tours but I definitely recommend the Silo City boat tour! Great job!
They held up the boat for us when we were running two minutes late, very interesting stuff about the history of industry in Buffalo and how the infrastructure has aged.
Had a wonderful time on the tours. Mike the speaker was very knowledgeable and interesting. He was friendly and answered questions and told some great history. We had Captain Joe and he was very friendly as well. We hit some large swells on the lake but had no fear, because he explained what we were doing the whole time. Elizabeth at the bar and the girl working the ticket booth were friendly as well. Highly recommend this tour.

I booked this last minute when I was at canal side and it was a great decision! Our tour guide (who s name I don t know- he had a beard) was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable about Buffalo, but was funny and kept it very interesting! I suggest this to both visitors and Buffalo natives!

Very informative, guest from all over the country. The silos are impressive from the water and inside. Would recommend to families, out of town visitors and locals who want learn history

We took the Silo City tour on a somewhat rainy day. The whole experience was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we all learned a bit about the history of our city.
The boat tour was an incredible 90 minutes exploring the Buffalo river. The narrator Kyle was informative, well spoken, intelligent and humorous. It was an incredible river view of the former grain industry. Take the tour you won t regret it.
So much history on the canal!!!! Absolutely loved learning about all of the silos and getting to explore them on foot. Both Captain Dave and tour guide Dave are great and truly make it an amazing experience.
