Architecturally, the connection between the old (former barracks) and the new museum buildings has been achieved. Since the museums are not cheap to enter, I recommend getting precise information beforehand as to whether a visit is worthwhile. Going through is highly recommended

All art museums in one location, beautiful place for those who love art a few steps from the center and the historic buildings of Vienna. A truly special place if you visit Vienna
Fantastic experience visiting all that masterpieces of modern and classic art in one place. Great idea and made with a lot of care and passion. My honest recommendation to any art loving person.
Museumsquartier is much more than the Mumok and the Leopoldsmuseum: it is also a leisure center (especially in spring and summer) with many activities and 2 events of all kinds.
A unique place to see and review. This district is a condensed of museums, but also a large square and many nooks on several levels with cafes and restaurants, street art.
In general a place to see in vienna. A lot of buildings to see are right around. The 7th district ist special lovely and the drinks are hipster fancy. I love it there!
In winter there is a small Christmas market and in summer there are a lot of enzies (plastic structures to sit and lie down). Also two of our biggest art museums are there and national museums are right around the corner. I can only recommend to got there and just explore within 500 meters around.
Youthful promenade in the evening as well as a wide variety of programs and events are offered. Modern yet cozy gastronomy. The architecture center is also located here.
Very beautifull. Possibility to have lunch in the quarters in one of the many restaurants and cafes. Inside the leopold and the mumok museum. I would like to point out, for enthusiasts or families with children for a bit of entertainment, just off the MQ in the square on the right is a mini golf course. The Ama Amire. Ask for the clubs and balls in the kiosk in front (price: 5). Very fun and ideal for getting away from long visits to the beautiful museums. Even the mini golf belongs to the museum quartier, in fact it was designed and built by different artists and consists of several sculptures. Absolutely to try. Beautiful experience.
Large choice from different museums so there is something for everyone to see. Plan enough time here, every museum in this "MuseumQuartier" is big so do not expect to see everything in one day. There is also a nice (art) bookshop in the middle at the entrance of the square.
Stopped by while going to the Leopold Museum I like the free atmosphere and chairs It's on the street across between the empty separation blue and the empty museum. If it's hard, go and take a break
