-Work sites are extremely toxic. Would not recommend
-extremely low pay. Not enough to live off in the area. Company bases their business model off of hiring young kids who are desperate for work so they can take advantage by low balling them a salary that would be completely unacceptable anywhere else.
-incredibly toxic staff: both on the federal side and contracting side, but especially the contracting side. Every contractor is extremely bitter and resentful towards management and will often take it out on other contractors. This makes it very difficult to work as a team and get anything done as it opens the door for ridicule if you ask questions.
-Office is very cliquey, and you will be shunned if you don't participate in toxic behavior.
Advice to Management: Pay more to attract better workers and avoid toxic workers. Don't tolerate toxic behavior and stamp it out when it appears.

If I could give zero stars then I would!! This company, especially the staff and management in Carlisle, Pa are the most unprofessional group of people I ve ever experienced at a workplace. There s favoritism being played out between the managers and their employees. If you are not brown nosing your boss then you re at risk for losing your job. The cliques within the team are toxic to the point it s hard to get any work done. There is a specific supervisor there who gossips to other employees and then management wonders why there s constant drama. The on-site Deputy Manager is constantly giving employees, that she does not like, dirty looks and talking about employees to other supervisors behind their back. She is the biggest snake I ve ever encountered. Not including, before lunch, separating 30 of us from the other employees to lay us off WITHOUT a promised 30 day notice. Not to mention the constant rule change every single day and forget about getting used to the desk you re in, they ll change that too every 3 days. The greatest part of this company, even during a global pandemic, we did NOT hear from our CEO for weeks until the employees started to send emails to the government. The company claimed that no comment or information is best at keeping people from overreacting. Wrong!! My advice to the company, do more research on the staff and management that you hire for onsite. If you want to save yourself some migraines then do not work for Qualx!
QualX is a great company to work for. Balancing home and work life is no problem at all. Management is fair and understanding and does not micro manage their employees . You come to work do your job and go home. Yearly salary increases , monthly bonus program and promotion opportunities are available if you work for it. Nothing in life is just handed to you, which alot of people expect. Not everyone starts at the same rate of pay which is fair because there is a wide range of age groups and experience in the office. Some people complain about their pay being low but that's because they are still gaining experience, eventually you have the opportunity to make a very nice salary. Some people say they can't afford to live in DC/Northern VA well move further out and commute . Your not going to make 6 figures in the Declass world but you will make a decent salary. Overall, QualX is a great company. Give it a chance and you won't be disappointed.
