The Christmas lights at the Botanical Center were beautiful. Our granddaughters really enjoyed themselves.

A great family-friendly destination that seems to keep growing and getting better. At first, I thought it was just a big, boring green house, but this Quad Cities gem seems to keep getting more interesting. A wonderful place to spend a few hours with kids.

Beautiful wedding site with very helpful staff! Lots of positive comments from our guests! Great place for family outing, children really enjoy the trains!

Pretty grounds outside and the indoor garden is quite nice. 90 minutes and you're done.

A great community botanical center that is enjoyable for kids and adults. Especially nice in the summer with the childrens water garden but the waterfall area indoors is great for weddings or photo-ops.

I didn't go in but went to the outside holiday lights display and it was a winter wonderland! It was breezy and chilly but a great outdoor event! Would recommend!

Neat jungle like area with fish pond inside. Outside is another fish pond. There is a kid's water area with Hobbit house, obstacle course, sand box and butterfly garden. They also have an area with electric trains, but go before 4 as they close it earlier than the rest of the park.

Fish pond was cool! You can feed the fish. Beautiful place to walk around.

Small but beautiful and well kept. The child's garden has a stream running through it that feels awesome to dip your feet in during hot weather. Usually pretty quiet durong the weekdays.

We love going to the Botanical Center. Not only do they have an awesome childrens garden!.. They also have TRAINS! It is a great place to take your small children!

We came for the lights, and we were not disappointed! I'll definitely have to check it out again in warmer months, but for great lights, activities, & hot cocoa, it was a fun visit.

Gorgeous and well-kept even with fall rapidly approaching. The staff were incredibly friendly and the variety of plants was amazing. Definitely will be visiting many times.

Its small but very cute and quite lovely. Theres a play place for kids to scratch around in a chlorine stream with make your own damn walls. So beautiful

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I just got married and had our reception here. It was a truly amazing experience. The pictures are just beautiful. The staff was friendly, fun to work with, and made it a breeze. The grounds are beautiful. The tent was a perfect place for the reception. I highly recommend the Botanical Center for anyone looking for a wedding venue or just a place to visit for a fun experience!

Beautiful, interesting plants, indoors & out. Great trails, beautiful green spaces. Plenty of benches to sit on & take it all in. Delightful children's areas, utilizing whimsical imagination.

I am always impressed with the gardens! From the moment you walk in their doors until you head out, you are treated with incredible customer service!

Great place, truly lovely way to spend a couple hours on a sunny day. A tad bit pricey, but sometimes has good summer deals if you look hard enough.

So many improvements since we were there a couple of years ago. My grandkids loved it and had so much fun! They especially loved the play cottage!

One of my favorite places to go in the Quad Cities.

I love the outside area for the kids to play, learn and get wet. If they had a couple more shaded benches for moms to sit while they watched their kids play it would certainly make it a place to spend the day!

I've been here many times to take pictures for so many different events. Its a great place for family pictures. They have a few ponds with fish in them. There's also an outdoor area thats awesome for pictures as well. There is a fee to get in. I'm not sure how much it is but its not much.

Great venue with wonderful community events. This year's free seed exchange was even better with the Rock Island public library contributing their seeds as well.

Expensive for what you get during the winter, but worth a visit otherwise

Even though it was very warm, it was interesting. Watching the trains run, was fun.

Really enjoyed my visit there. Lots to see and very interesting. Lady at information desk was so nice and helpful.

This is a very pretty botanical garden. Half of the garden is indoors while the other half is outdoors. They have tropical plants inside, featuring a "sensitive plant" which is a leafy plant that closes its leaves when you touch it. It was cool. There's also coy fish and a children's garden with little water features. The owner works in the gift shop some days. She's very nice. The party rooms are spacious and a great place to host an event at a reasonable cost compared to other venues. I've been to a first birthday party here and an outdoor wedding here, and both were very cute and fun.

We took our three boys here for the afternoon and they had a blast running around and looking at the flowers, then playing in the outdoor kid area. FYI the model trains only run for a few hours on Sunday afternoons.

It didn't live up to the hype but the coy fish were beautiful

We went to their Winter Nights, Winter Lights event and it was fantastic. A warm way to enjoy a winter evening.

Good education on plants. Beautiful sculptures tucked away and a joy to find.

We went for the Chocolate Experience and I plan on returning just to see the gardens when they fully bloom. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a wonderful venue for my cousins wedding and reception. I would highly recommend the botanical center for like events.

Such a great place and even when it is busy it isnt bad...the crowds of people just keep moving along smoothly. The staff is always delightful. We love visiting.

While it is open year, it would appear there are more outdoor things to see, especially a miniature town with a train.

Beautiful selection of plants and educational, but small and a little hard to read information with smaller children wanting to move. Bathrooms are spacious and very clean.

There are several ways to extend your visit to this botanical garden for hours, especially with young children. The children's garden was very nice. There is a water play area (depth 0-2ft), a dirt course to run/roam, two large connect four games, a play house, a model train village, places to feed fish, and plenty of plants to look at.

Definitely bring sunscreen, a swimsuit or extra clothes to change child into, maybe sandles/water shoes, and a few snacks.

This was our first visit here; we are members of the MO Botanical Gardens and this garden is included under the American Horticultural Society reciprocal gardens program. For the regular admission of $6.00 per adult ($5.00/senior) its a decent price to pay for a nice little community garden. We were a little surprised by it's compact nature but there are some lovely specimens and exhibits. We loved the children's gardens. Lots of creativity that isn't quite as obvious as it might seem. Definitely recommend for a couple hour/several hour visit. This year with the drought conditions I suspect some of the plants might have suffered, but even a botanical garden can't waste resources, so the state of the gardens weren't peak but they were better than we expected for the dry season we have had.
Go. It's a fun place, with pleasant and helpful staff, and a break from the city.
