Very simple to install. I added some rubber padding when mounting fan between 2x4 and fan to keep any vibration noise down. Happy with fan performance.

We finally got power to them yesterday. 2 issues noted - 1 of the fans had the interior wire exposed and caught the fan blade.
Shorted out. I repaired the wiring but the fan is noisy. 2nd fan had a rattling wire cage where a spot weld broke. The 3rd fan is amazing quiet. We bought 4 ES1500's so each bedroom and a family room could have it's own. Seems like it will work great once they are all in and working correctly.

Very - quiet. Which we were weirdly disappointed about since we both had grown up with the loud attic fans.

Helpful customer service, and we love our whole-house fan! My husband and I installed it within a few hours. I only wish we had gotten the bigger one - we underestimated our space. Next time, it will be worth the money to err on the side of getting a bigger unit.

Unit is quiet and efficient. If I had it to do over I would have bought a bigger unit than I thought I needed. I use it to draw cool air into the house rather than to cool the attic.

I work in the energy efficiency area of a small electric utility. I understand the value of Whole house fans and have two quiet cool fans. The 2250 is for small vacation home and the unit is very quiet. It s quiet enough that my wife likes to run it a lot for the cool breeze it creates in the house. The other is for our larger house. The noise with the 3100 is more noticeable and consequently the fan is used more sparingly. But I have to say both of them are more quiet than most whole house fans I ve ever experienced. Installation was straight forward and pretty easy if attic access is not a problem. I would both recommend and buy these again.

Got it installed yesterday and hate it. My house is still hot hot hot. Doesn t work.

We are pleased with the performance of the Quiet Cool all-house fan. It is a lot quieter than the all-house fan we installed in our last home.
Installation was much easier. We did not have to frame a hole in the ceiling of the hallway.

I have installed 2 separate units in my 1200 sf home. One for extra kitchen exhaust while cooking. One near bedrooms mostly to be used during the night to draw cooler outside air. They were pretty easy to self install. They are quiet and very helpful in cooling home cheaply & efficiently.

Installation was easy and it's very quiet compared to other fans. Only complaint is that it doesn't move near as much air as expected. I compared it to a couple of fans that my friends have and it doesn't move half the air that theirs does. I'm still happy with the purchase.

The whole house fan I installed worked so well I plan to install one in my mom s house.

I purchased two Quiet Cool Fans while I updated my attic insulation, to keep the house cooler in the Summer. One of the fans would not properly update via my Android App, so I called the company for advice. Kevin Cambron, the Customer Service Supervisor responded to my inquiry promptly via email and then by phone. Within short order, they rolled out an update to the App and fixed the issue. Such prompt oversight and care is rarely seen nowadays and deeply appreciated.

The Fans are slick, operate perfectly and now just waiting for the Summer to see how they affect the heat within the attic.

The fan is excellent and very quiet.
However, the install instructions that came with the fan were wrong. It took a call to QCM to figure out that the instructions were wrong. The error cost me over an extra hour of electrician time. Poor quality control on the packing. Also, they never tell you that an on/off switch is not included. A bit crazy not to get a switch.

Purchased the QuietCool Classic 3100. The delivery was quick, the install only took me between 4-6 hours including the wiring and switching (which was a majority of my time) if the wiring and outlet was already in place I probably could have been live from box to pleasant cool breezes in under two hours. The product is great, nice quality. It has been a game changer for the warm days. Would definitely recommend installing a timer switch with timed options.

My overall experience with this product has been positive. From installing the unit by myself, to the excellent customer support I received when I had a small damage upon arrival to my door.

This unit was what I was looking for my home where my hallway space was limited. The decibel is much quieter than the traditional whole house fan when operated. This is something I was drawn to since our living room is right next to our hallway.

I recommend purchasing a unit that covers a bit more square footage in case you have to open a few more windows or want a stronger draft to cool down the house quicker.

The whole house fan was installed vertically using your conversion bracket and the product has worked as advertised.

I live in an area that gets warm quite a few months out of the year but for the most part cools off at night. So the quiet cool system was the perfect option for me. I recommend this to all my friends and I'm constantly telling people about it. Definitely worth the investment and the cost to run it is surprisingly low.

Purchased the ES-7000
Fan really moves air but the air rush past the grille is unbearably loud. I got the largest fan but really the grille is undersized for the volume of air going through. This causes an extreme whooshing sound that requires being at least 20-30' away for it for the noise to dissipate enough that it doesn't drive you crazy. The grill off erased this issue but can't have nothing covering the damper box. Customer service guy was unhelpful.... said to close windows to reduce the noise. Asked to speak to an engineer. Engineer guy first said something about restricted attic venting, couldn't be because had more then enough venting. Eventually said he would see what he could do and would get back to me.....still waiting after a week. Super expensive fan for something I can only run on low. Not a happy camper. Not sure what the primary design factor is. i guess something that will fit between ceiling rafters at the expense of quiet operation.

The unit was well built, was relatively easy to install and the motor may indeed be quiet when running can't really tell because of grill air noise.

[EDIT 2018-06-14] Raised the stars to 3. Company has tried to make things better but the problem persists. Just don't expect quiet when the fan is running on high. I stand by my original assessment of the unit. The surface area of the grill needs to be increased to get rid of the issue. Maybe I'll cut the damper apart extend it and add another inlet and duct to increase grate area to alleviate the issue.

First off these are not inexpensive.
But they perform decently and are much more quiet than a traditional house fan. With the qc fan there is no cavitation at the blades where the vent into the ceiling is. I think that helps quite a lot.
I had to have a fan motor replaced over the summer after a degradation in performance. Qc sent an advance replacement motor which was nice so I wasn t without circulation for an extended period of time. The second motor seems slightly less powerful than the original when it was working at its best, but it hasn t had any change after regular use.
Overall I would say that my experience has been quite satisfactory. The product is good and customer service before and after the sale are superior.

We live in the SF Bay Area where we have pretty cool summers. But when we have a heat wave, sometimes for a week at a time, we have no way to cool our house. By running my QC just in the early morning and at night, my house stays comfortable all day. I am happy with my purchase. In hindsight, I should have installed it with the option of remote control. It would be convenient to turn it on and off from bed.

This place ripped me off. Ryan Sears is a crook and will take your money. Stay far away from this place!

Nice looking whole house fan kit right out of the box and everything was going great on the install until we found the wireless smart control would only run the fan at one speed. After diagnosis with the company it was determined that the control would need to be replaced. The sad part is the control came out of a sealed box that said quality inspected....
I sent all the help home and called Quiet Cool when they opened on Monday and was assured that a new part would be in my hands by Friday so I enlisted all my help to be onsite this weekend. The control still is not here and will not be until Tuesday so I now I need to wait another week to install the unit.
Extremely disappointing for the cost of the kit and I actually worry now about the reliability of the control once it lives in an attic with huge temp swings.

We had previously owned a whole house fan but it was very noisy - sounded like an airplane taking off. We read the reviews and chose this Quiet Cool house fan and are very pleased - it is just outside our bedroom in the hall and we can't even hear it when it is on low. Very happy with our purchase!

We love our QuietCool QC ES-3100! I currently work for PED / EComfort HVAC and they were recommended to be the easiest fix for our hot upstairs that got no circulation. So, after debating for awhile and summer was coming we ordered it. Got it installed within an 1-2 hours and there was an instant cool breeze circulating through the house. The window breeze is pretty awesome as it s sucking the outside air in, the curtains start blowing instantly. We love having parties and when it gets hot downstairs we turn it on and the problems solved instantly. It s very quiet for being that big, doesn t bother is when sleeping and we have it on a timer so it goes off as we fall asleep. I highly recommend the QuietCool line to anyone looking for some circulation in their house! Best investment we made and worth every dollar.

Most reviews u will see here are fake. I worked for them making fake positive reviews. Don't believe them, they use the cheapes materials and do not seal anything in the damper box, so it is always bound to need replacement. Evil secret.

Their advertising is deceptive as the fan is not quiet.

When you watch the TV commercial or listen to the sound bite on the website, the fan is almost silent.

Even on the low setting it is loud, louder than when we run the A/C.

We purchased the Trident 7.0. It does pull the air in from the outside effectively, but it is not at all quiet as advertised.

I spoke with QC customer service and they were rude and argumentative, so basically a waste of time.

Works well. Simple install. Very quiet. I like that the vent cover has some insulation value.

My experience has been bad so far and it's not over. I ordered the largest stealth pro and paid for it May 4th. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them I asked. They said they were on backorder from the factory. A week later they said it was shipped but went to the wrong state. 6 weeks later it arrived. They said it would take 3_4 hours to install. It took them 9. My husband works on commission so he lost money that day. After less than 2 weeks of use it quit working on high. Now waiting for a new motor. It's also not as quiet as promised. I was excited to get this and it's been one disappointment after another.

Love the product, the simplicity for installation, and warranty. However, unit arrived with visible damage to the damper doors which was not caused by shipping, but appears to be when installed at factory. Doors function properly but needed some help to seal flat when off. Was not worth the time to send back and wait for a new unit, I just don t tell anyone to look through the intake grate.

Great company to work with if you need a whole house fan. Their products have a solid 10 year warranty and they honor it religiously. Customer service is also top notch. Highly recommended.

The vents always stay open, so it heats my entire upstairs and creates more heat. So technically it heats my house up more by allowing the heat to come down into my house from the attic

When you use the house fan to remove some of the heat it pulls all the dirt and dust into your home.

Excellent product! After using several attic ventilators, most quit after the first month, I believe this is one of the best products ever for attic ventilation. I will continue to buy products from QC Manufacturing in the future!

So far I have installed one for the main portion of our home. Another unit will go up before summer. It wasnt hard to install. I think the hardest part of the install was cutting into our newly textured ceiling. I mentioned going into the attic before summer hits because it was in the range of 120 degrees in the attic when I did the first install. Trust me, take care of it now before the heat gets here.

I also ordered and installed the QC remote controller which saved me a ton of hardwiring. The main box gets installed on the main fan unit in the attic and was not hard to accomplish.This works from your phone and allows you to control the fan speeds and how long you want the fan to run (the timer).

As far as savings and other benefits. We rarely have to use the air conditioner. Thats a humongous savings right there! W do as is suggested and leave the house sealed up during the hot part of the day and then in the evening, when it's cooler, we crack certain windows which gives us good airflow and then we turn on the QC fan. It works great and cools off within a very short period of time.

We just had a new roof put on in 2017 and hope this will add to its longevity.

I would suggest this QC whole house fan to anyone who wants to lower their home cooling bill. This is one of the better home improvement items you can do to a home.

Last night I attempted to remotely start the Quiet Cool fan but it would work. Spoke with Koty at QC this morning and he came over to reset the Hub in the attic within the hour. I was extremely impressed by his dedication to customer satisfaction knowing the weather was heating up. Koty did not want me to go a day without my QC fan working. He went beyond my expectations and I am so grateful for that.

We have enjoyed heavy use of the QC fan for many years. California has some of the highest electrical rates in the country so the whole house fan is a big money saver for us. On a recent service/warranty item, the team went above and beyond to take care of us. The replacement part arrived sooner than expected and I received a followup call to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommend the product and the people behind it!!

If you are handy with house projects like installing recessed speakers then you will be amazed at how easy this is to install the QuietCool system. The wiring is the hardest part. Otherwise get this installed. Either way this is a great product. It looks good, runs quiet and really cools down the house. It is worth every penny.
