Still a Purdue residence dorm, but without all the hassle. Includes both undergrad and graduate students. Some hallways are quiet, like the one I was in, however I have heard others can be noisy (think it depends on how good an RA you have) . (I believe if your over 21 you can drink responsibly). Room types include doubles, singles, and shared baths. Also A.C.
Nice room for son at Perdue. Clean as well. Son likes his room.
The students are doing a good job of following the guidelines.
Stayed here for a year as a sophomore, exchange student! was quiet and accommodative :)
Their custodians do an amazing job on upkeep and if something breaks, it's fixed very quickly. Staff is very helpful.
Hawkins is a great place for students to live. It offers many things, including study rooms, the largest kitchen i've seen in any res. hall, a gym, conference room and lounges. I think it's a well rounded dorm. However, I wish the bathrooms were a little more renovated and modern. They dont really have a place to put things. Same qith the corridors, they are usually very dull and dark, no windows in the hallways. But the rooms are good sized with lots of storage. But again, the rooms are dark so you'll need your own lamp/light to brighten it up a little!
