Great place for you to study or work with your laptops! There is lots of space available at the second floor, where you can have wide window view. The staff are friendly. They also have a large kid zone and attentively-designed cute family washrooms!
I usually go here to study after class and on the weekend. It's a pretty quite place most of the time (only upstairs, because downstairs has an area for kids).
The staff is helpful. I needed to find some old books for class and the staff was very friendly in asking and helping me with it.
I like the windows on the upper floor; you can both studying and taking a break just by looking out.
However, there are lack of electric outlets on the upper floor. So 4/5 stars.
Lots of collection of books, and easy parking underground. Can also rent free movies. Very nice staffs and wonderful services. Free internet too.

Metrotown Branch has some of the best children's librarians I've ever met, involved in organizing and executing many activities at the library that encourage and inspire reading at a very young age. Story times for all ages, Man in the Moon, and so much more.

Sizable library with quite a good selection of materials from CD's to books to DVD's. The children's section is pretty nice, and the library does a good job in promoting reading. The sessions with Jon are always fun for the kids. Staff is pretty helpful and there is a good sized underground parking lot.

It's not that big in size, but it has a lot of materials. It gets busy after school so get there early if you want to get a seat.
no power outlets near most study spaces. I have to go to a weird and uncomfortable spot to find and use a power outlet.
Their teen fictions you have to hold online or else you are not gonna be able to find anything in that section.

where in a government library the books are shared and more efficiently used. save ur money, and use government burnaby public library where everything is shared.

This is probably the best library in Burnaby. Lots of parking, study area, collection of books. Outdoor open space. Very nice environment. Family and kids friendly.

Open and spacious, this central branch is attached to a good amount of green space that makes even the surrounding busier areas pleasant during all the seasons without snow; especially in spring and summer with beautiful flowers in bloom alongside the small water fountains. Seniors gather in the open space for group exercises while organized activities (posted on the bulletin boards inside near the entrances) abound year round for all different groups. There's plenty of metered ground parking as well as spacious underground parking.
Amazing selection of books, great choice for kids too.

The staff is unable to maintain silence for others to study in peace, not a best place to study if you get irritated by noises and disturbance people and kids cause. Atleast they should not allow kids on the upper levels, they do annoying stuff like screaming and running around, can't even say anything to them coz if u do u are mean?!
I come here almost every day to study for my Law exam.
One incident happened recently that really got me thinking, do the staff really need to be this up tight?.
I needed to create a case-law formula sheet and I did not have any on me. I did not want to walk home 20 min each way to grab a piece of blank paper, so I asked one of the full-time staff members for a single sheet of printing paper and she said that she cant. I offered money and she declined. I get that its policy, and the paper is only for staff, but do you really need to be that uptight about it?. If I was repeatedly asking for paper or wasting paper, that's a different story. (I know she did the right thing, clap clap, but seriously though).
Anyways... conclusion, bring your own paper to this library, cause there exists no kindness in here.
Never the less, the library location is great, the environment is pretty quite (most of the times) and its pretty clean. Theft happens quite a bit, dont leave your valuables unattended.
To the librarian, lighten up, smile and enjoy life. I hope karma doesn't get you.

Metrotown branch is fantastic. Seating for group and quiet study. Computers, and many community programs happening all the time.
