Don't even bother going to this place which is just a piece of dump as they will make you go through so much just to leave you in the dark & never find you a job interview.
It's a wasted time which I could've spent applying myself elsewhere.

Jocelyn made trying to find a job during a pandemic really easy. She was helpful throughout the whole process, and even kept in touch while I was settled into my job. You can tell she cares about the people she hires and wants to make sure the assignment is the right fit for them. Much more than just a temp agency trying to fill roles. Can't recommend enough.
What's with all the recent 5 star ratings. Stop posting fake bogus reviews that don't reflect how dishonest this agency is.

I was recommended this job agency by an ex-co worker because she managed to find a job through there and kept raving about Pro Temps.
This will be my first and last job agency I go to. Maybe it's just the person who was helping me, but it doesn't matter because all it takes is 1 person to leave an impression. I was interacting with Jocelyn throughout my short lived relationship with ProTemps. They are not really responsive as I had to send an inquiry twice before I heard anything back. Not to mention they're very last minute.
When I did receive a response, everything was good - I went in for an interview, I was explained about the process and different opportunities they had in store based on my experience. I thought they've redeemed themselves after they left such a horrible first impression when I didn't hear anything back from my first inquiry. (Don't know why I decided to give them another chance and send another inquiry...)
Now here's where everything went downhill - I received a call on a morning to go to an interview at 2 pm. I said no because I still have to go to my current work (I've already informed them of my current work hours). She asked if I can call in sick or go in later??? Anyway, after explaining that I can't just call in sick or notify my current managers that I'll be late 1.5 hours before my shift starts, the interview was moved to the next day at 10 am.
The follow-up after the interview was nice, and I received the answer really quick too. I received a call for another potential interview last Wednesday morning for either Thursday or Friday. I was told she will get back to me soon to confirm. Thursday afternoon comes around and I haven't heard anything so I decided to send her an email since I am at work. It is now Monday night & still haven't heard anything back.
I don't get how this "job agency" works if they are going to give up on helping someone find a placement after 1 interview. If they can't find a placement for me, that's fine I understand but AT LEAST INFORM ME OF WHAT IS GOING ON AND NOT LEAVE SOMEONE HANGING? I assumed that job agencies would understand the importance and professionalism in following up with clients since the clients are relying on the agency to help them not with their food, clothes, furniture, etc but for a JOB!
I've never written such a disappointing review. I had such high hopes and expectations because my friend only had good things to say and Jocelyn was very nice. I think I'll just stick to finding a job on my own from now on because this was one of the biggest waste of my time.
Best experience among all the agencies I have been through. They will do all in their power to find a placement for you. Working with Stephanie was amazing. Always there to help.
Do not waste your time and gas transportation money with this agency.
Rene will be nice to you on the phone and will invite you to come reregister every 6 months not get you a job if she can't reach a reference.
Look for a job with another agency that actualy will place you to work.
I was looking for something full time as I left my Full-time job of 4 years. I heard about ProTemps and decided to give it a try. Jocelyn was such a great help! with finding exactly what I needed. The position I initially applied for was a temp to perm and I got hired full time with the company! If you are looking for part-time, full-time or just any temp position i highly recommend ProTemps.
Stephanie was very helpful. she kept in contact, followed up with interviews and always responded to emails and calls. I definitely appreciated her efforts:)

Completely, Ridiculous Went to an interview 3 weeks ago, emailed the person who interviewed me a week ago and no response, no call giving me updates. Just feels like they wasted my time and took my information as other reviews said .. wish i checked the reviews before i went to the interview or i wouldn't have wasted my time! SO UNPROFESSIONAL!
Had my reservations coming here due to reviews, but I realize everyone has different experiences and situations. So took a chance...glad I did. I never posted any reviews before but since my experience was nothing but positive, thought I post one. Registered myself, met with a seasoned consultant, got an interview and got a job immediately.
Signed up months ago. Got a call for a temp job. Told her I would go (both over the phone and email) today renee called a few times. My phone was cut. I emailed her back saying I would go 4 MINUTES after her reply. Then I got an email back stating "since we didn't get a reply in time I sent another candidate. 4 minutes?
It's quite clear the job never existed in the first place, obviously. And the other reviews confirm my suspicion. Anyone reading this. Take the reviews seriously, don't waste your time here.

My fiance decided to give this agency a chance after meeting with a very friendly and kind rep. At first everything was great and she even got her a placement.
My fiance worked there for 2 months when the company decided to let her go because her position had been filled by a permanent employee and she was no longer needed... sucks but life happens right?
After she was let go she was contacted by her rep Joan who told her the hours she worked were not approved (because she was coming in early and staying late to help out whenever she could) so she would only be paid for the scheduled hours... mean while her hour sheet is signed off on by the management so I told her to call Joan back and mention the labour board and watch how fast she gets paid... after she called back mentioning the labour board she did get paid - But this company literally tried to not pay her for her approved and signed off on hours ... Completely illegal and more then unprofessional.
I would not recommend anyone go here - if you do know you rights because they might try and take advantage of you if you don't know better.

I have been registered with this agency for 4 years and have yet to be sent out for an assignment. I met with a very friendly recruiter, and we chatted about what type of employment I was looking for. I was advised that this is a very busy time of year for them, however I have not heard back since my "interview". I would advise job seekers to apply to a company directly. This agency did nothing for me except waste my time.
4 months later August 9, 2017.. here's another update regarding this company. I applied to a job posting on Indeed and recieved a call from Andrea who invited me to come in for an interview and to register with the agency. Again. When I began to ask questions about the posting, I was advised that she would call me back with more information as Linda (the original job poster) had stepped out for lunch. Sure enough I got a call one hour later advising me that the position was no longer available and that their client had decided to hire internally. REALLY!?!?! Which company is going to contact a recruitment agency, and then change their mind about hiring someone from the outside the SAME DAY that the job was posted? Nobody. Absolutely nobody as there was no job to begin with. They just wanted me to come back in and reregister by filling in their BS paperwork that might as well be filed under G for garbage!
Andrea, Joan and Linda you should all be shamed of yourselves for your incredibly deceptive hiring practices. Stop leading people on and wasting their time.

i actually worked as a recruiter for this company about 7 years ago (approx). (on the temporary (warehouse) side in Mississauga)
i will confidently say, this is the worst company i have worked for!!!!
i will NEVER forget....my grandmother passed away, and when i went to see her at the hospital, they asked me for proof that i was there. i had given my brothers phone number to my boss (as my phone had died, and thought if they needed passwords, or any information, they had a way to get a hold of me), and they called looking for me...asking if i was actually AT the hospital.
after my grandmother passed away... i remember the older boss- Beverly (on the perm side, that ran the show)..coming to me and saying "things like this happen every day..you just have to learn to deal with it."
i obviously had to take 2 days off (after her pep-talk) for the funeral..and when i returned, they fired me. (approx, 3 days after i returned)
its unfortunate i was too young at the time to even think to use my inheritance to sue them, or even file a complaint with labour board. (young and dumb lol)
ironically, the lady who was part of my firing session, Shirley, recently stopped by the company i work for now, to promote pro-temps... i kindly declined any interest. when she wouldn't take no for an answer, i politely reminded her of that time where her and her side kick fired me after a death in the family.
of course she denied any sort of thing ever happening. "we absolutely would never do that". (i even gave her descriptions of who was with her, who i worked for.. etc)
You DID.. .its ironic to people how dates match up. its extremely heartbreaking, that when i think of the funeral, or that hard time i went through then..this is the only thing that stands out to me.
i Do however, wish this company a lot of success and hope they do well. Based on their reviews and speaking to others that have had any dealings with this company, i see that they are still in the same position they were 7 years ago (maybe not financially, but definitely ethically!).
The staff at ProTemps have been very helpful during my job search. I felt my preferences and career goals were top priority with the opportunities presented. I highly recommend their services.
I can't say anything bad about the agency, but there is a lady by the name of Jocelyn!! and she is suppose to be the account manager, she called me for a reference. Very rude, obnoxious. I honestly don't know what her problem is but i wouldn't defiantly tell you to stay away from her!!!!
This is by far the worst job agency I have ever worked with. My last job that they placed me in, I had to resign was a total disaster. Pro-temps knew that the place was high turnover and they said it was not a call centre to which it was. I lasted a little over 2 months before I had to resign due to stress and office politics. Stay away and find a more reputable organization.

I was right out of college, and unable to find a job. I signed up with Protemps and in less than a week, they found me something. I have been dealing with Jocelyn, since May and she has been more than help. Protemps has a really good team of recruiters and office staff, who always reply by phone or email to my inquires. My paycheck check goes directly to my bank account and is always on time. Overall a good work agency!!
