Our baby has covid and wasn't eating or drinking. The staff was amazing from the second we walked in till the moment we left. Fantastic experience and our little girl is already feeling a million times better. I can't thank you all enough for making everything safe and helping our girl start feeling better.
Worst ER I have ever been to. We ve been her for almost 7 hours. We are still waiting for test results and prognosis. Nurses couldn t get my dad s blood correctly. Receptionists are rude and lacking empathy. Seven hours and still waiting!
Seeing the negative reviews for this facility made me want to share my experience.
Progress West has AMAZING services. When we had our baby, my wife was very comfortable. We had a private room, the food was ridiculously cheap for what was provided, and care was just a buzz away. Once our baby was here, the staff was attentive and made sure we were comfortable. They even offered to care for our infant for a few hours at one point so we could catch up on sleep (dads, the sofa folds into a comfy bed for you)
I took my kid here on a non busy trip and day to ER and we had to wait here 5 hrs for them to not help, care, or even figure out what was going on. Most of the nurses were rude. Plus there was dried blood from who only knows how long on the cabinet in our room right when entering. The housekeeping is not doing a good job here. Do NOT waste your time coming here. Go to another hospital if you're able to! Also when arriving they said there would be along wait for cleaning a room to become open. Everything is truly not organized here and there are many bad reviews. Wish I would have known that before coming here.
My husband was treated with the utmost respect, care, wisdom, and compassion. We we in the ER twice in one week. Admitted twice. Everyone was amazing. My husband has been in numerous hospitals in Dallas, California, the amazing Geisinger hospital in PA, and this small regional hospital was on par with all the other great hospital systems. The doctors and nurses were the best. Shout out to the dietary department. Great food despite the many dietary restrictions. It is so good to know this hospital is nearby. Obviously and unfortunately we have a lot of hospital experience. Thank you
My grandma Mary has been admitted to progress west hospital several times as well as my mom and myself and I just want to give praise and thankfulness to Diane the operator who answers the phone and transfers your call to the patients room. She is so professional, caring, sweet and I could go on and on but I m so glad Progress West has her as an employee, she really is a true blessing! She needs to be recognized and praised for her passionate care to those who call.
On Thursday, October 21, my 89 year old husband was having extreme pain and a hard mass in his abdomen. He has constant pain but that day was worse so I called 911 and paramedics took him to the ER. We are new residents in the area and have been so pleased with medical personnel until this visit. The person who saw him was a nurse practitioner, Hemmer. He was extremely rude, told me the ER is not for issues like he was having-it is for injuries and broken bones. He did some tests, gave him an IV and prescribed a steroid. He was released and saw his primary care doctor on Monday. It was a very unsatisfactory visit because that man was so rude. Aside from him the personnel was very kind and caring.
I said when I was laying in the ICU after waking up that this hospital was getting 5 stars from me and I meant it. The staff here from the medics, nurses, techs, doctors, etc, saved my life multiple times during my intense visit and I am forever grateful to this hospital. I was treated with such care and kindness, I actually plan on going back to thank these amazing people in person. Idc what anyone else says, BJC hospitals will always be my go to in a time of emergency, and progress west is an excellent example of another crown jewel in the BJC family. Thank you to every staff member who treated me right at this hospital..from the medical team, to the custodians, to the kitchen staff. You guys are miracle workers, and i wont ever waste the life you gave back to me.
Wish I could give -5 stars! Went to the ER because a local Urgent Care told us to go there for X-Rays and Ultrasound. Waited 3 hours (About 10 people there when we arrived) and still wasn't seen. Asked how log it would be and was told "I think you are the next patient". Waited another 1/2 hour and Left frustrated. DON'T GO HERE!
Rude. Er . The er is horrible. You will wait for hours and be left in pain. Night shift in hospital has been very good.
