I called to find out if I should bring in my dog; they asked lots of questions, and gave a recommendation. Told us exactly what to do and when we should bring her in. I really appreciate a place that is friendly, not just hungry for $$ and looking out for the people & pets in their community. Thank you!

I brought my dog Gus in through the emergency department overnight, he was in bad shape and we were fearing the worst; he ended up having an obstruction. Dr. Soltis diagnosed Gus through X-ray, gave recommendations, and immediately mobilized the surgery team. Dr. Jankovits performed the procedure and called me immediately afterwards with updates. The team was communicative throughout Gus s hospitalization, were kind to me, loved on and treated Gus like their own. Gus is now home recovering, we are so glad Premier Vet was there to help us through this time.
It's an ER. Expect to pay ER prices with lots of options for other observations and precautions. If you have the money (or credit), they'll do their jobs give your pet care. Again, just like an ER for people. Its very expensive care. Addendum: Oh brother. I gave you three stars because there is nothing special about the service and plenty extra to upcharge for. Again, being available 24 hours, you feel justified in that practice. Just like an ER for people. However, if you do not have money or credit, you are quickly reminded that this is a business first, health care facility second. That's terrible for people who love their pets but may be working class living check to check. Look at the neighborhood around you! You respond with a thank you and a comment on people being able to apply for credit in order to spread payments out with interest? Tone deaf and condescending.
Went here for an emergency with my cat. They have an easy accessible location with a parking lot. The staff that helped me very nice and attentive. They also did not try to over charge me or give any unnecessary treatments. In fact when make am decision on treatment they advised me to go with the cheaper option. I know it is difficult taking an animal in for an emergency but it is nice to know that this place won't try to take advantage of you for that.
This place is the best. Sure, there was a long wait time of about 4 hours.. but well worth it. I had taken my pupper Natcha to another vet clinic for surgery. Umbilical hernia and spading. Surgery went well but the bandage wrapped around her was a mess and hurting her. Nonstop crying and pacing. All she wanted to do was stand despite clearly being exhausted. The clinic closed so I was redirected to Premier veterinary group. They took her in immediately to check her vitals and make sure she was stable. Eventually they replaced her bandage for a more comfortable one and magically, my baby is able to sleep soundly. They charged a reasonable price and sent us home worry free and with a little goody bag of baby food. Im so grateful that they could make Natcha feel better. They are the most caring and professional vet clinic in Chicago by far. Thank you so much.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Brought my cat in late on a Friday night when he was acting abnormally. They were very quick to diagnose and act on the problem (a urinary obstruction, emergency situation requiring immediate action), all while keeping me informed and feeling secure. The doctors and nurses are always responsive and patient when explaining things over the phone, and never made me feel like I was wasting their time or keeping them too long with my questions. He needed extended hospitalization, and they even sent me pictures of him for updates!! (Wasn't able to visit him with COVID-related restrictions.) I felt secure knowing my cat was in good hands, and continue to feel secure knowing I can bring him back here at a moment's notice. Special shout outs to Dr Scott Ven Huizen for performing his operation, Dr. Herppich for continued monitoring and support, and Angela for providing care while he was hospitalized and for saying such sweet things about him!
My girlfriend and I brought our dog here a day after Christmas. He suffered random seizures and fainting. They immediately took him in and started working on him at our request before we even signed any paperwork. This place saved his life and we are forever grateful. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The facility is spotless. The prices are a little high, but the staff is knowledgeable about enrolling in different pet insurances. I hope I never have to go back there. But if I do, I know I'll be in skilled, trusted hands.
Absolutely disgusting people, all of them. They don't care about your animal, they only care how to charge you. They charging for cpr!!! How inappropriate. She came (the vet) to ask me if she should give cpr and if so, I should go sign the papers and pay $500 minimum. I didn't get a chance yet to write appropriate review about experience with this murderers but I will soon. Don't go, you will spend 2000 minimum and they will still find ways to charge you.
Took my dog memo in this morning for stomach problems, they did everything to make my dog comfortable and they gave reasonable prices ! I recommend this place for medical emergencies for your pet
While in Chicago on vacation, my 7 year old pitbull had a pretty bad blister and swollen rear leg so I decided to bring him to premium vet group. From the get-go, the nurse came out and was skeptic about running a full check up on him and flat out told us she didn't want us to get charge the $109 if it's not necessary. She took my dog to the back for a quick visit to the ER vet. They told us to keep it clean and he should be fine. I appreciate the honesty and the professionalism. Saved us a headache and a lot of money.
Showing up at 10:30pm, I wasnt sure what to expect. But once they got Curly inside, she was tended to promptly and treated. They didnt put her out unnecessarily as she was able to handle the two suchers that were placed in her ear. Would recommend. The staff were very pleasant especially at that hour and the doctor was great and explained everything so I could understand.
Overall, I had a good experience here. We brought our dog in for non-emergency surgery. The staff was kind and mostly friendly. To be clear, you ll not find a bargain here. They charge well for their services. But then again, I was okay with not skimping on a major surgery for my dog.
