Very nice range of places to eat, lovely harbour, good atmosphere.
Excellent marina, shops, facilities. Surrounded by restaurants.
Packed bar and the food came after only 10 mins. Service was efficient and staff polite. Steak was well cooked and food was fresh and delicious.
Have edited and upgraded my previous review, the last few weekends, including yesterday the staff have been extremely professional and helpful - the Lock was busy yesterday, and even the manager was out helping boats in and out of the lock - credit where credit is due - have upgraded to 4*
Absolutely lovely place ,plenty to see ,people very friendly.
17 Restaurants and bars, special events throughout the year free parking and a Cinema. Plus great boats, you can even book a boat trip.
Very nice large marina with lots of vessels of all sizes and costs. Nice area to walk around and lots of restaurants and pubs.
Ok but not as good as exp
Expected
Top notch experience. Very tidy and clean facilities, good level of security. Pontoons well organised only a bit tighter than in other marinas but no drama. Access to the lock well marked on the water. Sailing to Port Solent was a good fun trip and arriving there was just great as the marina is nicely sheltered and pretty peaceful.
Great marina facilities. Individual non-gendered rooms with a toilet, shower and a sink. Fairly clean even in high season.
Always have an enjoyable walk here. From 1st -22nd Feb.the walkway over the lock is closed so you can only access from the other side.
Incessant piped music ruins an otherwise pleasant experience
Brilliant area to walk around looking at boats of different costs. Some very very expensive.
Just moved my annual mooring to Port Solent and cannot praise the staff at this Marina enough. Previously at Gosport Marina, I had to have my Sealine F42 lifted and blocked off for Antifouling, Drive Service and general Cut and Polish. Unfortunately Gosport do no have the equipment to lift my vessel so went up to Port Solent. Got to know the staff quickly, especially Sam, Richard, Ben and the newly promoted Mark who is the Marina Manager. Got a fantastic service from everyone and decided to move our annual berth to Port Solent. Was given a really good berth amongst friendly boat owners and had a wonderful couple of weeks stay. Facilities at Port Solent are amongst the best I have experienced and the Boardwalk has a multitude of Restaurants, Cinema and Sports Swimming Pool, apart from the normal and extensive Boat Owners facilities like Chandlers, Repairers and specialists, all on site. Thanks to all the team for making mooring such a pleasure. Steve Andrews - Khaleesi.
Premier Marina portsolent, have the most friendly and helpful staff. And make a fantastic place even more worth visiting. Thank you .yacht misty Blue.
Beautiful lookout points restaurant over the harbour
Nice view, clean, good restaurants, several children activities
Lovely tranquil place to visit with good choice of eating places
Nice place to eat out and see a film, easy free parking, walking around the marina in the evening is very romantic & pretty
Amazing marina with all the facilities needed which are well maintained to high standards.
Restaurants, cinema supermarket.
Very helpful staff who was friendly with great advice.
Plenty of parking.
Great view ideal to sit and have a picnic and enjoy the views.
Helpful staff contact to book a mooring or a lift out. Obtain gas supplies from this office
Well run marina. Good facilities. Lots of space for manoeuvres.
Best of the 5 anchor rates marinas in the portsmouth/Southampton area
Went there on business this time round, boat yard staff friendly and helpful
Not much to see or do,a few shops and a few overpriced low standard eateries
Always enjoy a weekend on the boat in Port Solent. Great marina staff and plenty of choices to eat and drink
Big marina development, nicely done but now aging. Lots of parking and good choice of chain restaurants, though mildly down-market. If visiting in a boat the narrow lock is not welcoming.
Nice for a walk. Lots of nice restaurants. It's a shame though that there are hardly any shops anymore.
This is a lovely marina, facilities for showering are good and there are plenty of bars / restaurants within easy walking distance from the marina.
It would be useful to have a store within walking distance, but there is a large Tesco within a 5 minute drive.
Much improved over last few years. Friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful walk along the water, watching the boats etc. Some nice places to eat and a play area for children. Didn't eat anywhere but will do next time.
Alright to a degree, if you're hungry or thirsty. Not a lot else perhaps a clothing shop, and a gift shop.
We had a team building sailing race organised by a company here. I had a great time sailing. The facilities are pretty top notch.
Very helpful and welcoming. They would have got 5 stars if they had handcream in the washrooms!
Stunningly boring new development far from any facilities, supermarket, even a post office, wifi had security issues, it's unjustifiably expensive, and staff actually lied about prices in the area: when I brought this up the snotty, arrogant sort in the office wasn't in the least interested. I had hoped that further 'up the river' would lead to a village atmosphere, quite the opposite - go to Haslar marina at Gosport, it's almost half the price, near town and its shops and facilities, has a far more pleasant atmosphere, and everything works!
Nice relaxing place to visit, wide choice of places to eat and drink. Ample parking.
Looking rundown these days with some poor food offerings probably due to greedy landlords
Normally take my boat out each year here. This year no exception, however we had a launch date of early April and because of the virus the yard shut down. The next launch date is now early May, I have just received a bill to cover the storage from April to May even though not our fault. Will definitely look elsewhere this Autumn as this left a bad smell regarding their attitude
Great facilities. Fantastic selection of restaurants. Mooring not cheap
Staff always friendly and professional and helpful. Thank you.
Love port solent.. Always so clean. And lots of boats to dream about.
Took are 40ft sunseeker there fab stop over amazing food with fab views.
Will definitely come again..
Nice locked marina... good facilities, with various bars and restaurants
Great facilities, clean, warm, spacious, well equipped.
The lock is
Open on Christmas day
Great place for family weekend. Lots of restaurants options, playground, cinema and a castle to visit. Not good for shopping though but Gunworth shops is fantastic and not too far.
