I did have a 5/5 review for premier when they first completed our home. However, in 14 months I have already decided the bad out weighs the good when it comes to this company. 2 leaking showers that damaged the drywall and now a leaking roof I am fed up. New construction shouldn't be having these problems only after a year.
I wish we would of listened to everyone when they told us to not build with Premier. It was nothing but a headache. Time frame was always off. Our close date was pushed back from March to Feb to April Finally moved in End of may . We signed for our house Sept 2018 and moved in end of may, still to not move in ready. We had no choice but to close , because we didn't want to lose out on our interest rate. These pictures are pictures we took final walk through and were supposed to be completed asap. Still waiting on repairs to be done. A few days after move in we noticed shingles on our drive way . Took it upon ourselves to see , and noticed our entire peak wasn't shingled. If you are looking for your dream home I would not recommend Premier Homes. They are very cheap quality . Concrete cracked 1 week after move in. Unable to close front door because frame is not leveled.
*FIND ANOTHER BUILDER*
We closed on our house yesterday only to move in and find that the HVAC doesnt work.
Does the lead that builds these things even check them before they sell?
Update: they never even ran the HVAC before the closing date. And im still discovering things that aren't small issues. Both front and rear electrical outlets outside are non-functioning.
FIND ANOTHER BUILDER.
We had an exceptional experience with Premier Homes. We built our first house with them in 2013 and we are looking forward to building our second one with them. All employees are very professional and make the home building experience wonderful. Premier Homes provides us with the opportunity to turn a quality and affordable house into a home.
We closed May 2018 .Flashing was not put on roof and when asked about it , Ron said roofer was sent out and inspection passed. We went and paid a roofer to look at house, and he confirmed there is no flashing! Still waiting for it to be done .
Purchased a home a few months ago from Premier Homes, Andrea was great, but from there downhill quick. Building manager was leaving so he didn't seem to care about the process and communication during the build. Now fast forward 2.5 months later and multiple items have not been fixed. Vent fan has stopped working, safety railings still loose, concrete damaged and not fixed, sink coming loose, left epoxy on the garage floor and tried to power wash off. More issues then I can list on here. Closed because we were living in an RV waiting for this home to finish. Wish we would have waited. Don't make the same mistake we did find another company to work with- Gary
Update 8/18 please do not build with premier homes. We have had multiple issues and honestly just think they don t care about the product they build. Roof sheathing is bowing all over. Have had major drainage issues around the home with the rain water from the roof going into the septic area. Driveway is sinking and cracking. Walkway is sinking and cracking. Patio is cracking. Not a single room in the home doesn t creak or have high and low spots from the sheathing. Just a garbage product long term. Do yourself a favor and save up to go with someone else.
Definitely find a better builder. Cement cracking, water leak from nail driven into water line, no electric cord for garbage disposal, garage door damaged from truck driving into it, cracked tile in bathroom. Neighbors on both sides had encroached on my property with huge swing set, horseshoe pit, stucco shed built on property, massive amount of hay bales to make a dam on my property, crashed car stored on my property. This is just a few of the problems. Builder knew about neighbors and failed to tell us. Had to get a security system and fence property to ensure our safety. Sheriff's have been called numerous times due to harassment from one of the neighbors. The one 5 rating was from the person that was in charge of building my home.
Our 1 year warranty just went out and we realized we have a THIRD water leak, this time due to improperly installed boots on the roof. They have been leaking water for awhile but a recent flash flood caused it to get bad enough to come through our ceiling (2nd water leak through the ceiling too). This leak caused damaged to multiple areas of the home. I thought I'd receive something better than "oh well it passed inspection". You really should choose a better homebuilder because these homes turn into money pits. At this point we just leave holes in the ceiling because we know we'll have more leaks and it's cheaper to just leave holes in the drywall. And home owner insurance does not cover protection against damages from terrible workmanship. And it's also sad when companies come to look at damages and say this must be a premier home, because they're well known in the area for building trash.
