Located in Rice Village, this Italian restaurant was a disappointment. The food was pricey and portions and quality did not match the cost. Eggplant parmesan was three too-thick slices, fried and bitter. There was no salad or soup offered as part of dinner. The side of spaghetti was a tad mushy. An order of chicken parmigiano was equally expensive and unimpressive. Dessert was bypassed. With all the food choices in the Village, I'd be unlikely to return.

AMAZING restaurant with staff that are very professional and friendly. We have always loved Prego but really appreciate how accommodating they have been during Covid. Their outdoor seating works well even when the temperatures are chilly...they have heaters setup outside. The staff bend over backwards to make sure you are taken care of and the food is always delicious. Can t say enough good things about this restaurant!

Amazing food and even more amazing people. Make sure to ask what the specials are...the Red Snapper and Soft Shell crab are a couple of my personal favorites. The sweet potato gnocchi and crab claws are both also awesome appetizers, annnnnd I can't really leave out a comment about the dessert- try the pannacotta with a glass of moscato.

The service was amazing and the food was excellent. New years Eve, no reservation, dressed in jeans and t shirts after work and toting a 2 year old. We were seated immediately, our waiter was knowledgeable and professional. Our food done perfectly. Will definitely go back

My family and I have been great fans of Prego for years. I always leave with the feeling that the food was just fabulous and among the best things I've ever tasted. My brother and I had dinner there this evening. I had the Vitello Prego and he had the green chili pepper corn pasta. Things just didn't taste as good as usual. Bland would be a good way to put it. Our bread was cold too. They weren't bad, but there wasn't that overwhelming sense of having fabulous food. I don't know if they've changed management, or if it was an off night, not sure. Service was fabulous as usual. I doubt I'll go back after this experience, which is a shame. Because I will miss it. I also don't go to Rice Village very often anymore because of the new parking meters.

The noise level in this restaurant was comparable to a New York subway. The bread was cold when served and the Romaine lettuce should have been dried off so it was not wet when served. Pasta dishes were full of flavor but this was lost in the atmosphere.

Took my mom here for lunch it was yummy, and the waiter was helpful to all of my moms questions lol. The caprese was good and the chicken salad is huge, I tried it and it was delicious although I'm not a fan of blue cheese.

I had rabbit with BONE pasta- not on the menu.

We arrived at 10, it was a quiet night so we asked if they are closing. They said no and welcomed us to a table. After seating us they served us cold bread and the waiter began calling me "dude". We were hungry, it was late so we ordered our food.

When my rabbit pasta arrived very quickly and it was luke warm which showed it wasn't fresh, they vegan cleaning all the tables, reorganizing them and yelling from corner to corner.

The last straw was finding a rabbit bone as they were vacuuming around us. Then the manager asked me "What Id like him to do about it."

Don't waste your time here, so many other great restaurants..

Everything was delicious! We had the Torta Di Granchio (2 potato crusted TX blue-crab cakes w/ roasted corn, scallions, avocado & sundried tomato) for appetizer & for lunch/dinner veal & soft shell crab. Pricey but simply divine!! Excellent service, too! Definitely will be back!

Our dining experience was exceptional, the food was prepared well, the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu, the desserts are just heavenly! It could get very busy and the restaurant is not that big so it tends to be very noisy and chaotic but overall I would come back again.
