Scam, my daughter has made only 3 payments on her new car and has had it out of the shop for 2 months before getting a used transmission replaced under warranty that now is not driveable because they will not stand behind the parts they replaced with. Small claims court, a bunch of crooks!! And talking to Linda, not a bit of help as she did not care because the warranty is now expired.
My husband and I bought a 2018 in 2020 (2 year old car) bought a 4K warranty because we are adulting and understand anything could happen. This warranty company has given us several different answers to why they will not cover the problem- we are 2nd owners, the car is one year to old to be covered for this item. Complete bull. We have called Volkswagen and our dealership and they have expressed that this is not the case. We have driven the car less than 1,000 miles in the last 5 months of owning it. We have taken excellent care of it and the damage done has had nothing to do with our ownership. Do not use this company, they don t care about you
We are a transmission repair shop and deal with many different warranty companies. Preferred warranty is hands down the best warranty company I have ever dealt with. The appraiser responded very quickly after we submitted the claim and was very reasonable with prices for the coverage. Also they paid us immediately after the final invoice was submitted. The customer was happy with the coverage and we were very pleased with this company. I highly recommend purchasing contracts from this company if you are looking for a reliable warranty company.

Do not purchase a warranty through PWI. They are a complete joke and will decline 99% of everything requested.
I have tried on a few occasions to have my warranty (if you want to call it that) through PWI activated (sensors, switches and gaskets). I will admit, they replaced a thermostat. BUT, that was after a lot of hassling in which they weren't going to cover it initially.
Nothing is covered even though when purchased, they said it would be.
The latest and greatest (which is the reason I am reviewing the company) is in regards to an engine gasket of mine that started leaking. After having my mechanic call PWI (all of which they were blown away this wasn't covered) and speaking to a very rude lady that denied the request without explanation (she is pretty mean too) I figure I have had it with these guys. Complete Joke!
I would highly recommend NOT purchasing this joke of a 3rd party warranty. What a waste of 2k!!!!
This has to be the absolute worse warranty company to have a warranty with, they are so incompetent and don't work for the consumer they work for their service providers. Do NOT waste your money if you're offered this warranty company.
This is by FAR the best warranty company in the nation.

They will go above and beyond to ensure their customers are completely satisfied no matter how much they have to work for you.
When something goes wrong, all you have to do is call and they direct you to a preferred service center.
They fix your vehicle to get you back on the road in no time.
$50 deductible ?? Pshhh, Sign me up.
Now that that's out of a the way, I want to make a special shout out for the best rep a guy could ask for.

Policy seemed ok but I wrecked the car so requested a refund for the unused months. They agreed but actually getting it has been hell. I still don't have it.
This company is a scam. Had the hardest time getting them to corporate with dealerships and repair shops throughout the time I owned my vehicle. Then when I sold my vehicle and canceled my 36k mile or 36 month warranty they wouldn't refund the money left on the warranty. Also very bad attitudes in the office. Everytime I called the person on the phone had a bad attitude and was rude.
This company is a SCAM and waste of money. I purchased the Powertrain Plan for $1600.00 with PWI, when purchasing my car 9 months ago and filed not 1 but 2 claims with PWI and they denied both claims. I paid for a useless service. I asked for the legal department to contact me and send paperwork last week when they denied my second claim to replace my motor. The reason PWI denied both claims was because they said it was an after market piece put on the motor to cause failure which is a lie nothing was put on the car. They didn't come out and do a investigation when I purchased the vehicle to know what was on the vehicle and what wasn't. I will be pursing a lawsuit against this company and if anyone else would like to join please contact me. They will take your money and deny any claim you submit to them. The first claim was denied when my rear end system failed after only having the car for 4 months. If this warranty company and the dealer think I will continue to make payments on a car I have only had for 9 months and now needs a motor replacement they need to think again. I will see them in court because they haven't contacted me nor sent any pictures or letters of their findings. If you have been scammed by this company also contact me so we can stop them from taking anyone else's money. I haven't seen one good customer review where they have paid a claim out. WARNING DON'T BUT THIS WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!! Report them to the BBB also if they have denied your claim. Check out the reviews the only good ones are from shops that's it. SCAMMERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
