As others have stated, I ve attempted to reach out to this joke of a company multiple times going back nearly 2 months since receiving a letter they need to do a meter inspection on behalf of Nat Grid. Initially I left them voicemails which were never returned, now for the last several weeks they have a prerecorded message on their line that they can t take calls due to high volume and they will return your call still haven t ever received a call back! Funny that they can have National Grid issue a fine for failure to inspect when no one has ever stopped by my residence, called me back or returned an email. Report this company to the state AG and file a Utility company complaint as they are clearly in way over their head and issuing fines for services they never even attempted to render.

I couldn't make an appointment at all. All the calls were voice message responses, said I have to wait a few days, and then they will call me. I waited for three weeks, and there was no phone call at all. National grid also fined me $100, and I was really angry. Why should I call to make an appointment? Isn't it your national grid's responsibility to check the gas of every household? Why do I must to make an appointment with a third-party company? And this third-party company doesn't even have a real person answering the phone? Why can't I ask another company to check my gas? Really, this policy is silly. If there is something wrong with natural gas, won't I find a repairman myself? There are so many ways to check whether natural gas leaks online, won't I check it? Your company doesn't even have a real person to answer the phone, and you gave me a fine. What rubbish.

They have terrible customer service and threaten you with fines even though they are unable to schedule service appointments.

What is their process? Call them > receive voicemail saying they'll call you back > they don't call you back > they send you letters threatening you with fines > repeat.

I had someone from PPS stop by my house today. She checked my meter and then walked out saying she came to my house by mistake. She said she is unable to record my meter reading.

I would choose a different vendor if I could but they are basically a monopoly. I don't have any choice here.

What is the best alternative? Third party licensed inspectors can submit they're own evaluation and we do away with these mini-monopolies. We do that for many other industries. This one should be next.

This company is attempting to swindle National Grid customers on an astounding scale. Sneaking $100 charges onto our bills and thinking we won't notice? Their phone number doesn't even accept new calls, so they conveniently never have to return the money they've taken. I'm contacting the Attorney General's office first thing tomorrow morning to demand an investigation into Doug Staebler and his cronies, you will not get away with this.

I see I am not the only one who has been charged this $104.50 ridiculous "gas service no access penalty". I have been calling the Precision Pipeline Solutions number since I got the only notice they have sent to me on August 24th. The number was busy at all times everyday, I finally was able to get a machine on August 31st and left a detailed message to get an appointment but no one reached out to me!! I just got off the phone with National Grid and spoke to Quadira and she said they could not reverse the fee, then I got transferred to last name Florencio who said she was not allowed to give me her employee number but that she will note the account that I called and that she was going to make a note for Precision Pipelines to call me. What company in this day and age does not have this type of inspection service via a website!! Well, let me answer that, the company that wants to charge New Yorkers who don't have time to look at their bills over $100 dollars and fill their pockets with money by not answering their calls and saying WE are the ones who are at fault by not getting an inspection that CLEARLY CANNOT BE SCHEDULED BECAUSE THEIR PHONE DOES NOT WORK!! Can someone in the news or with some sort of higher power help all of us who are here trying to get this issue resolved, and those who work long hours who do not have time to write... I am sure there are many, many people being charged this fee and it is simply NOT FAIR!!

I dealt with Alyssa this afternoon, and could not be more happy with my experience. She was extremely helpful, courteous and cooperative. We showed up a day early to pick up a vehicle and she went out of her way accommodate us. Thank you once again!!!

Been charged $104 denial of access fee by National Grid because they said Precision Pipeline Solutions is not able to come inside my house to inspect the gas meter. Been trying calling National Grid and Precision Pipeline Solutions and they never ever respond. This is outrageous.. National Grid is being fined by Cuomo for $21 million for gas pipeline security violations. We need to make this issue knows and get our local representatives to help us. National Grid need to hire more responsible third party to carry out the inspection. Precision Pipeline Solutions NEVER EVER respond. National Grid cannot fine people for their own fault.

I've been charged a $110 denial of access fee for meters I can't give access to. I was told to call Precision Pipeline Solutions to give information so they can contact my landlord, so they can give access. It took me a half an hour to get through to the automated system (it kept disconnecting and I would have to call back), and another 10 minutes on hold before I could request a callback...but they never called me back.
