I m a friend of the family of Kalliopi Spanos. The way the faculty handled this case, is absolutely absurd, inappropriate, unprofessional, and I m very disgusted by the comments on here. How do people attack and cyber bullying a 12-year-old kid? I m very disappointed.
My children are very happy their they love the school it is a very good experience
I loved my experience at Renaissance. So many wonderful opportunities came my way because of the help and support I was given. It is not a perfect place but I know most teachers and staff genuinely care for students and their success. Even as I study in college I am able to reach out to my TRCS family for any kind of help and support. I am grateful for my time there and all that I learned. TRCS really inspired me to pursue my artistic career as well as my academic one. I know they care.
The 8th grade ELA teacher (Ariel Sacks) is one of the worst teachers I have had in my life. Never grades anything, can t control our class therefore we never get our work done. The assignments given don t help us or prepare us for the exam in any way shape or form . Every other teacher in this school can control the class, help us and prepare us for all exams, give us homework that helps and the teachers are all involved. Ariel doesn t help us at all and gives pointless projects and homework. I learned more in 7th grade ELA than I have in this class. Pupil path is almost never updated and every time I go on it every assignment says ungraded. This is supposed to be the year entering high school and the grades she gives us doesn t reflect what we do in class. Also the little homework she does give she never grades as well. The only somewhat productive thing is when she gives us a random book and makes us annotate it. The kids in our class aren t respectful to her because she doesn t know how to handle this class.
This school is absolute garbage, the school had a handful of teachers who were actually caring and challenged students. The school staff is completely unaware of what goes on while Suzzane Arnold proposes random "policies" and "dress code rules". She typically changes policys on kids who she feels are a "problem"'to her. The drama teacher Rebekah is her best friend and as a result she feels she has more power and tends to suspend kids on her accord with Suzzane's persmission. I actually was able to get a case on her for her harrasing me to sign a paper while takint a test, safe to say she'll let kids finish a simple test now. The office people with the exception of Fran and Pat are completely useless. Parina is the rudest person I ever met, Stacey is seen twice a year, the first and last day of school, that's the princeaple. School officers are completely biased and follow Suzzanes rules. Myself along side others were constantly picked on once we had a difference of opnions with teacher, teachers were very quick to throw you out if you disagree with something. Once you get went to Suzzane's office you're essentially on her hit list. I hate thinking I went to this school but I remember the good friends I met here and release it could have been worse. Highly suggest you don't put your child to this school, they are about money not education.
This school is garbage. With the exception of a few teachers and staff they barley respect you. I went there for middle school and changed to a different High School. Suzanne Arnold is hypocrite. She demands respect but does not show it. But it's hard to focus on that when she comes into work smelling like packs of cigarettes. And it is unbelievable that they put someone as uninformed as Raymond Johnson (the middle school gym teacher) to help you decide what high school you want to go to. He was no help what so ever. With the exception of making new friends and connections I won't for get, and some of the staff who helped me out and a few inspiring me, I hated my time there.
Great school. Very well organized. Happy students. We serve them for few years now - every time good experience.
It was the first day of high school- everything was going great. I had gone to homeroom and had gotten a copy of my schedule, which I had actually already memorized. So after homeroom, I went to first period, English honors. I walk in the door and sit down in a random seat- not bothering to read the board. Then I look at the board and realize I m in the wrong seat. And the girl whose seat I was in was standing right in front of me. I moved with my cheeks tinted pink with slight embarrassment. THAT S NOT THE WORST. I sat down in my actual seat, noticing that I didn t see anyone that I recognized- or for that matter- looked like freshman. The teacher comes in and claps her hands with excitement. Seniors! She exclaims. I was in a class, with all seniors. I was panicking now. I timidly raise my hand and announce in front of the whole class my embarrassing story. Turns out, the schedule I had gotten in homeroom was my NEW schedule that they had made adjustments too.
this school is doo doo :C
