Precision electrical Review

Don't call precision electric unless you want to pay them the service charge just to tell you that they will charge you an astronomical price for your repair. Personally I thought they were rude, crude and socially unacceptable. They evidently didn't want to do the job I har requested so they just priced it completely out of sight. I'll never call them again.

I am very impressed with Precision Electrical, the employees are extremely knowledgeable and kept us updated on appointment date and time as they worked with AEP and the State Inspector.

Their prices are very competitive with other buisnesses in the area however having an experienced electrician work on our home was the final decision for us choosing them.

The job was completed on time and everything looked and worked perfectly, the Tri-Cities is definitely lucky to have this company.

The technician arrived on time and completed the tasks on schedule. The technician was knowledgeable and also provided quality work.

We hired Precision Electric to replace our 3 Phase Power and a 200 amp breaker at Preaching Christ Church in Downtown Kingsport. We were very pleased with the job they did. They were highly professional, courteous and completed the job on time. We highly recommend their services!

Our electrician was extremely professional and efficient. We were very worried this was going to be a hefty expensive job but he helped us find out that it was a very small thing and had our power on within 5 minutes of being in the house.

Given that electricity is deadly to work with, I thought the price I paid was very reasonable. It was actually less than what I thought it would be. I would recommend these folks to anyone.

Andrew and Justin were 2 of the nicest people I have ever met they treated my family and I with respect, they were well mannered and very friendly. I wish I could remember the receptionist name from when I first called she was very friendly as well. Super expensive. Labeled fuse box just as my smart friend said they would....laying on their back with a pencil betwixt their toes....laughably unprofessional. Almost entirely illegible. ..hell, I would've written it for them if asked! Quality work is a thing of the past, I guess.

Horrible! Never again! We made an appointment for between 2-4. Receptionist called and said someone was on their way from another city, and asked my wife if they could come early. My wife explained that she was approximately 30 min away, but would drive back to accommodate them. After arriving back home, she waited for an hour and no one showed up. She called and Tammy told her that they had arrived and waited 10 min and left, but she could RESCHEDULE for TOMORROW! Terrible way to treat new customers!

Yearly maintenance on backup generator. Arrived on time, called when he was on his way. Performed maintenance in efficient and professional manner. Answered my questions in friendly and informative way.

RIP off they want to charge you a 1000 bucks to run a new circuit and not fix real issues charge you 400 some bucks to come out and walk around for 5 mins with there testers will never use them again

Chris and his partner came out promptly on a Sunday and quickly diagnosed and then fixed the problem. I was expecting a huge bill for a Sunday response but the bill was actually quite reasonable.

We ll definitely use them again for any emergencies and also for some other work we re looking to do around the house.

Richard replaced photo cell in motion light. He was very helpful.

Once again Precision Electrical did an excellent job. It was a pleasure towork with Bobby White. I would welcome having him back to do future work.

Chris was very congenial and took all precautions wearing a mask and shoe covers. His estimate was clear and informative of the cost of each item listed on estimate. Explaining the code and BTES requirements.

I gave them 2 stars because they were extremely nice and broke our contract and refunded our half upfront money with ease ..I cant express how nice and understanding they were..the reason I am giving them only 2 stars is because they seriously over quoted the job ,a no more then $2,800 job was quoted at a little over $6,000.. I also didnt like that they told us that we had to have a few things done to pass inspection that you do not have to have done on a older house ,you do have to have them done on a new build( I actually called a inspector to check and make sure these things were not necessary) but like I said at the beginning of the review they were very nice people to deal with

Outstanding customer service from the time the appointment was made until the work was completed. Technician arrived as scheduled, completed the work, and cleaned his work area prior to departure. I would definitely use again.

First of all let me say that the guy who did my job was very nice... however I called precision electrical, told them i had a kitchen stove with a four pronged wire, and in the wall i only had three 6 gage wires comming out.of the wall... white black and ground. I needed a plug put on the stove and a plug put in the wall. they could not give me the price for this over the phone... but told me that the electrician would have to come out to give me a price. it was around 40.00 to have them come out. when they got there they took one look and said it wud be 200.00 to do the job. .. i could have paid them forty dollars for giving me the estimate and sent them on their way, and went to lowes and maby just got a new 6 gage four wire electrical wire for about 100.00 to run to the box. but i wud still have to have paid them the 40.00 to come out and give me this estimate. and all together it wud have cost me 140.00 to do it myself. so i went ahead and paid the huge price for the nice fella to sit in the floor and wire up a plug (which i provided) and a new stove cord . which I also provided. ... this 5 minute job cost me 200.00 ... I don't care if precision electrical drugs tests their employees, just send me a lazy eyed pot head as long as you dont price gouge the hell out of me.. .. damn i am still in amazed at the price for this job. ..never again. .. and i own several rental houses... will i ever call this company.

Richard and Stephen were very courteous and professional. They gave an estimate of the cost at the beginning and did an excellent job installing chandeliers in the house. They both were very thorough and completed everything quickly. They went the extra mile to ensure we were completely satisfied.

When my circuit breaker panel in my home began to smoke at a late hour of the night, Precision Electrical answered their phone immediately when other electrical companies could not be reached. The next day I had an updated and safe panel with power restored to my home. I strongly recommend these guys should you ever have an electrical emergency!!!

Chris took care of the problem quickly and accurately. Knowledgeable and friendly.

We have had John out to our house several times for different issues each time and he has never failed to be polite, courteous, and very professional. He is very knowledgeable and thorough in diagnosing issues and always seems to have just the right solution to fit the problem. Can't really vouch for any of the other technicians at Precision bc we keep requesting John bc of his past service, but if they're anywhere close to being as professional as John, Precision is the right company for the job!

Chris and his co worker did an awesome job, helped save us from a possible house fire! They worked until the job was done. This was in the evening after 6pm and they worked till it was finished and safe. I will always use this company. Very fair in their pricing. I will always use this company for electrical needs and recommend anyone else does as well.

We recently built an automotive shop and had Precision do the electrical work. We had a few extra things added, the price was ok. Then the problems began. We received invoices for work that was suppose to have been in the original contract. They wired the building with the smallest and cheapest wire for a 220, so they had to go back and re-wire at OUR expense. Our florescent lights look like strobe lights every time something is turned on out in the shop, whether it is a lift, welder or air compressor. Took us 4 weeks to get the owner to come out and talk to us. $18000.00 and all we hear are excuses.

From the time the Precision /Team Edwards got here, we felt as though they were prepared to do whatever we asked regarding all things electrical! Mr. Edwards reviewed all the work and tabulated cost. He went over all the different jobs we requested. As soon as we discussed all issues, picking most important jobs, they began! Wow what great work they both did. Cleaned up, went over the work that was completed to my satisfaction. Trustworthy and hard working. Well worth every dime we paid to be assured the work has been done safely. Mr Edwards and Caleb were awesome and are my go to guys for the next job! Very satisfied... Thank you our lives are a lot safer now!

Andrew was an amazing technician. He was very respectful and really friendly. He followed safe COVID practices and wore protective covers over his shoes every time he was in the house. I know the jobs he had to do took a little longer than he had planned but he got them done in a timely and professional manner. I felt sorry for him having to climb up into our attic not once but twice as it s not super easily accessible and Andrew is a little on the tall side. Thank you for your excellent work. Highly recommend this company and especially Andrew.

They were on time and professional and deserve 3 stars for that alone, but they are seriously expensive., charging the equivalent of $225.00 per hour and higher, and I somehow don't think the average consumer can afford their rates. I paid in excess of $560.00 to run 40 ft. of 12/3 wire from the panel to a new outlet. Total time for the job was 1 1/2 hours. If that isn't exorbitant, I don't know what is. People need to be very careful with this company.

Update: Second visit to complete planned upgrades. Installed a generator outlet and lock-out Switch in both shop and house (Prevents the possibility of dangerous back-feeding electricity to the utility lines during power outage). Installed LED Conversions to existing fluorescent lights =MAJOR improvement in energy efficiency and light output--Very happy with all the work and the results. Bobby and his apprentice were on time and worked efficiently. This is a, high quality, "value-added" company!

I highly recommend Precision Electric. The Service Manager was helpful and attentive when making the appointment and called early the morning of the scheduled appointment to confirm that the technicians wee on their way. The Electrician (Bobby) and his helper arrived in the company. truck on time and were friendly and very helpful. (They worn masks and shoe covers!) Bobby listened attentively and asked questions to determine the nature and scope of the problems and what we wanted done during the call. He took notes and gave us quote for all the work and told us what could be done that day and what would be scheduled for another day (needed to order parts and fixtures). All work was completed efficiently and professionally and he answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. I have a high level of trust in this company and the people we have worked with.

It's always good to see Chris show up for whatever electrical needs I may have. He and his coworkers come, get the job done and don't leave until they've cleaned up the job site. I can't ask for better service.

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Electrical work is something you don t want to skimp on or do yourself if you don t have the skills or experience and the previous reviews speak for themselves. I would most definitely use Precision again. I don t want to forget to mention that Kaleb was very helpful and professional in setting up the visit. All in all this is how a job should be done. Chris was fantastic!!!! He was respectful of my home and did everything in his power to ensure the installation of the my two security video doorbells were installed properly. I was so impressed with his professionalism and positive attitude that I will definitely utilize Precision Electrical Co again. I look forward to seeing him for all of my future electrical service needs.
Unfortunately, I will have to call back to your company and reschedule another visit because the doorbells have to be removed from its mounting brackets and I cannot unscrew it. I apologize for not realizing this step had to be completed to activate the video doorbell. I will call back today and ask if Chris can return and remove both doorbells from its mounting brackets.

When I called and explained my dilemma about about the two doorbells not working, I was immediately told that Chris was still in my service area and they would dispatch back to my house. Fortunately, the issue was resolved when I called back my security company and another technician advised me how to get the cameras working. I WAS IMPRESSED THAT PRECISION ELECTRICAL COMPANY WAS WILLING TO DO WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO ENSURE MY INTERACTION WITH THEIR COMPANY WAS POSITIVE AND I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED. DO NOT HESITATE TO TRUST YOUR HOME ELECTRICAL NEEDS WITH THE EXPERTS AT PRECISION ELECTRICAL COMPANY.

They sent someone over within the hour I called, and the electrician identified, and corrected the issue. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Electrician was Professional, and friendly. I will use this company again for any of my future electrical needs.

First off, these guys came all the way to Bristol, from Kingsport, on race week(end) and they was still right on time. Their prices are extremely fair, considering the amount of professionalism these guys have. They fixed 100% of my problems, and even found two i was completely unaware of! I can relax knowing my electric is fixed correctly, as well as knowing i have a warranty, if things ever go south. I strongly encourage those of you who are in need if electric servicing, to just go ahead and call them. Dont waste time on other companies, just get it done on time, get it done right the first time!

Over night storms knocked trees down on our property ripping the powerlines out of our house. I called Precision Electrical first thing in the morning and they were here and fixed my problem with in a few hours. I do not know what I would of done with out them

Make sure you quote with other companies before ever choosing Precision to do work for you. We made the mistake of having them come out and give us a quote on a rental property, which was quoted "turn key" after installation, only to be given quotes a fourth of the price after we had work completed. This rental property is still unable to use a microwave and a heater at the same time. $6000 bill and no new wiring or circuits were ran in this house. We have contacted the technician, spoke with upper management, and even escalated this to the owners... they are not concerned because they have already received their money for an incomplete job. Awesome way to lose business from customers who have contact with 4000+ clients daily!!!

Super expensive. They tried to charge $1,647 to replace a breaker on my pole and also tried to up charge the visit from $50 to $150 just to diagnose the problem that took less than 5 minutes.

This is our 3rd time using the services of Precision and each time, Bobby has been fantastic. He always does a great job and explains in detail what he is doing.

Richard and crew were very helpful in solving an issue that impacted multiple electrical service problems. In today's world, it is rare for folks to show up when they say they will. Very grateful and will use them again. Highly recommended.
