Beautiful interior!! One side is like a museum with the highest quality assortment of beautiful artifacts you could ever wish to find. The other side is everything else!!! I found packets of plastic beads to love to bottom of a vest for an excellent price. Such a beautiful selection of crafty things. I was unable to find any instruction books or looms but beads abound in the back room!!

I was minding my own business with my sister and having a funny conversation when the store employees started to eavesdrop. Which cause her to think I stole something and put it in my pocket. She confronted me but only to look stupid when the only thing I had in my pocket was my wallet and phone. Not worth my time coming back to be accused of stealing.

By far the coolest store I ve ever been to, I could have stayed there all day 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Some of the nicest workers in the town. Breath taking art work, fantastic atmosphere. If you are wanting to go anywhere in town, make sure that Prairie Edge is one of them, YOU. WILL. NOT. REGRET. GOING.

As a tourist from Chicago I was slack jawed the entire time, such unique and beautiful pieces I could have stayed there all day, I was tired and I was wearing a shirt I didnt think anyone would recognize, the manager said hey is that the villain league so very awesome customer service as well!!

This place has the largest selection of Native American crafts and artifacts in town. It s worth visiting due to its variety and authenticity. Things could be costly, but that s how Native Americans make a living. You can always buy cheaper stuff from eBay, but they could be made somewhere else, especially nothing about the real Sioux people. So, if you like Native American stuff, stick to the real thing.

If you like Western and Native American arts and crafts, you will love this shop. One can spend a couple of hours browsing it's two floors. Don't miss the unique modern art on 2nd floor. Compares well with the shops and galleries in Old Scottsdale.

This is the best Native American crafts supply / finished beadwork and art work / book and Native American Compact disc store in the area. It could almost qualify as a museum, because that is the quality of the pieces. Be prepared to be overwhelmed!!!

Take the time to go here, you will not be disappointed one bit. The many different sections of the establishment are filled with wonderful objects of art and clothing. The book section is without a doubt one of the best seen concerning the Dakotas and Native American culture. The staff is more than knowledgeable, is willing to help you to and answer your questions.

One of my favorite regional galleries. The Native art is incredible. Most items are priced a bit on the high side - as they should be - but there is a small variety of less expensive art and decor for more modest gift occasions.

I love Prairie Edge whenever I'm in Rapid City. The prices change a bit over the years and I noticed the library section , looks smaller and had less of a selection of music of local artists. Disappointing that there is little representation of local musical artists in area now. I still recommend and visit when I'm in the area.

Spectacular Lakota art, books, and other random items. Half of the stores items seem non-Native but perhas they help pay the bills. Expect to pay hundreds to even several thousands for high quality art.

Very cool. Lots of things to look at and check out. Staff is very friendly and easy to talk to. It is well kept and very clean. Storefront looks amazing with super tall doors (see picture)!! The only thing I didn't like was the squeaky floor.

The art gallery is also on the second floor but there is an elevator available. The artwork is fantastic and much of it is by local native artists. The store has a huge selection of souvenirs and home goods. There is also a section with craft supplies that are used in native artwork. I highly recommend a visit! This was one of my favorite spots in Rapid City.

I only come to Prairie Edge because it's the only place that I know of to buy beads but its pricy. The last time I was there the employees were nice but I kinda felt rushed as they asked if I was ready 3 times

Beautiful building with three floors of art. American Indian art to a fine art's gallery. Trading Post where they have a huge selection of beads, leather. The Trading Company is pretty awesome to as well as the library where you can find out of print books.

Prairie Edge is Rapid City's best fine art gallery. They are a gallery member of Artists of the Black Hills and display several member artists as well as hosting an annual small works show for ABH during the holiday season. Serious art art lovers go to Prairie Edge to buy the best our region has to offer.

It's a nice place but we were watched and my kids are well behaved but it was like they couldn't be there so we left. I wouldn't take them in there again and I wanted to buy a lot things but now I don't want to. Bad customer service.

MUST SEE and GO! This best shop/gallery in Rapid City and West of the Mississippi, ANYWHERE! Plan to be there for a minimum of 1-2 hours to take it all in. Words cannot explain how amazing this destination is. Inventory changes, so always surprises when you return again and again.

Very beautiful place to see. I recommend coming to this place there is so much to see from beautiful paintings, sculptures, blankets, knifes, wallets, and a lot more. The reason why I gave it 2 stars was because of the disrespectful, rude, impolite associate that was at the front. Maybe it was a bad day for her but as a Army Veteran I will not be talked down to or made feel like I'm stupid. No one should especially when you are the customer.
