The beautiful building of the State Opera House is very beautiful after reconstruction. Perhaps I was most interested in the new curtain, which is a copy of the work of Edward Veith with a looking poet looking at a world full of virtues and vice and a beautiful chandelier. And the beautiful ballet Timeless just enhances the feeling!

The Prague Opera House was built in 1888 on the same site as the New Town Theater. In the beginning it was called New German Theater, name that maintained until 1945, when it adopted the current denomination.

I was here with friends during Carmen opera performance. It is a nice Opera house. Prag in general is nice big city to visit. Many historical buildings you can see here. The cafes are nice too. I love Prag as big city, it has its own flair like London, Sydney, Rome, Budapest etc. I don't like big city like Frankfurt or Singapore.

Saw an absolutely spectacular Turandot here in the gorgeous National Theater. Reasonable ticket prices, small theater so no seat is too far away (though at the very top we couldn't see a large part of the stage). Warning, though: if you are over six feet tall, you will require an aisle seat. Our seats had a metal bar running along the front that made sitting painful to impossible for our taller friends.
