I've used Powerbook Medic for about a decade and have always been impressed by both the quality of their work and the responsiveness of their customer service.
Most recently, the GPU on my out-of-warranty 2011 MacBook Pro failed. After requesting a repair online, I was given instructions to bring the laptop to a local UPS store, where arrangements were already in place to box and ship it without me having to do anything else. The laptop was back in my hands working perfectly again by the end of the week. Fantastic!

These are my go to guys for all of my Mac repair products. I have completely rebuilt 2 different MacBook pros for under $200 total. Top and bottom cases, track pads, hard drives, drives, logic boards lid screens, and everything else to completely rebuild laptops without having to spend $2500 every few years for a new one.
The prices for their products is insane, (in a great way) and they have almost every part that you need.
Their video tutorials for assembly and disassembly are very thorough, very informative, and much appreciated for us that like to do our own work and save a lot of money.

A thunderstorm destroyed the audio board for my '09 iMac. Powerbook Medic had a replacement at a great price. Shipping cost was very reasonable and the board arrived, well packaged and protected, in just a few days. I would definitely purchase from them again if the need arises and they have what I need.

PowerBook Medic exceeded my expectations!

I had taken my MacBook Pro to a local group in Indiana who were unable to fix the problem. I ended up ordering a used logic board from PowerBook Medic. Part arrived promptly, well packaged. I then watched a YouTube video on how to replace the logic board, followed the video step by step, and everything worked perfect! All for $60! Great price, great used part, fast shipping! Highly recommend!

I bought a replacement display for my mid-2015 15-inch Retina MB Pro. The staff were very helpful, they needed to confirm shipping details and to confirm if I wanted a toolkit (which I did, and they had to add on mu order separately).

Shipping was fast, and the display worked great. I get a few more years on a laptop that I will hold onto until Apple make a laptop with a better keyboard.

I am happy to announce that they fulfilled my order perfectly and incredibly timely. The product came as described and so far works perfectly. This 2.8 rating really read. I am not saying some people haven't had bad experiences, but the again some you can tell were being stupid too.

Came in good time! My Apple MacBook Air was so dead that battery was needed badly! Also it's Genuine Battery Too when it really showed it was battery power cycle was brand new! Also as with Lithium Ion Batteries, it was shipped in anti-static bad knowing you need to use an anti-static wrist band! Yes from battery cycle count from 1079 on old battery to 0 on new battery!

My ordered part was dispatched in a timely fashion and the US portion of this purchase was well-handled. Well done Powerbook Medic.

UPDATED: I had some concerns with Australian transport handled by our National postal service in the land down-under and Powerbook Medic have bent over backwards to make my purchase a pleasant experience. Just can't fault these guys.

I had a great experience with this company. My 2011 MacBook Pro 17" had a GPU failure and Apple wouldn't fix it because it is a "vintage" product.

After a lot of online research, I found out that PowerBook Medic has a service to fix anything wrong with your logic board for only $249... This includes replacing the faulty GPU with a brand new one.

I called in a few times and spoke to them before and during the repair process. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. These conversations built up my confidence in them and I decided to go for it.

I found their online video instructions for removing the logic board myself. I shipped it out to them and received it back yesterday. I was elated to find that my MacBook is running as good as new.

I am very happy with my experience and highly recommend the logic board service. I will come back in the future if I ever have problems with my other Macs. Thanks!

Great job repairing an older MacBook Pro 5,1 Logic Board. I have a late 2008 MacBook Pro 15 inch that I have used in my business for 10+ years that had developed a power issue where the unit would not power-up if left turned off for an extended time (overnight etc). It could sleep for days and resume but if it got cold it wouldn't boot. Eventually it would not boot up at all. Doing some online research I initially sent the MacBook to the RossMann Group in NY, however they were unable to repair it and suggested that I replace the board. I preferred to try and get the original board working however as that was my original goal so I found the PowerBook Medic site and sent it off to them with a little less optimism, but still hoping it could be fixed.. Needless to say they got it back up and running and it is working great.. seems like new and booting up w/o issue. I am in fact writing this review using it! I would definitely recommend them for MacBook repair.

I had a great experience with Powerbook Medic. I ordered a couple of used (looked almost brand new to me) fans for a late 2008 Macbook Pro that was starting to make a lot of noise and the replacements did the trick. The packaging was on point and the shipping was fast. I would definitely recommend them if you need any parts for your old MacBooks!

My kid s Kindle Fire quit charging, so I found a used battery for a great price here. It didn t come with installation instructions, but it was easy to find out how to do it on YouTube. Installed with no problems and now the Kindle is up and running! Shipping was quick, too.

My expectations were exceeded. These replacement feet are far superior to the factory feet and were cut precisely to fit the recessed groves. Installed in under a minute with no re-dos.

Wore out six keys on my MacBook Air and it was simple to match the correct style. They arrived quickly and I was able to replace them easily. Now I can read the E, A, S, C and O keys again.

PowerBook Medic, the only place a Mac person needs to go for replacement parts hands down. Between the quick delivery, best prices, and ease of ordering, you counld not ask for anything else. Yet they provide more with their collection of repair guides. That combination allowed my son (13) and I to rebuild a damaged 2012 MacBook Pro for the low price of $50(shipped) that included both shells, screen, LCD, and camera wire. Between the two of us we had zero experience. The only thing I wish would have been in stock was the screen removal tool, but it all worked out in the end. Thank you and your team...5 stars is not enough.

Sells unusable junk on eBay that catches fire. Be warned I wouldn't have bought the item from them IF I knew better, but their good ratings are misleading.

I used the same exact charger + cable on my Note 20 ultra multiple times so that is not the issue! It was apparent that the device was overheating and rebooting randomly since I received it but it was enough to pass their "quality control". They sold it in good condition with a hairline crack on the screen also

I ordered a used fan to replace a clicking fan (shot bearing) in my MacBook pro. It was supposed to take 10 days for it to get delivered but it's USPS so it ended up being a month and a half. Anyway, the fan was perfect, it installed with no issue and my computer is silent again just like it was when i bought it.

The Used part ( Mac Book Fan) was in excellent condition (like New ) and well priced , although the shipping was a-little pricy . I would give the option to ship USPS Priority mail, other than that , if I ever need another part, I will be returning . I will also recommend PowerBook Medic to all my fiends .

Easy to order navigate site and products are available

I mailed an iPhone6S Plus to them for repair. During our replacement of the digitizer, one of my techs identified we had the wrong part, and proceeded with reinstalling the broken, albeit working original digitizer. With the battery disconnected on the phone, we plugged the original back into the board and it immediately began to smoke. Confused and frustrated with out unfortunate experience we began researching the problem online. Seems the 6S Plus has these kinds of issues with their screens. Backlights burning out and weird problems with electricity.

During our research we found Powerbook Medic. They offered the service to replace bad board components. We mailed it to them. We waited about 2-3 weeks, but they were able to order replacement parts, and solder them on. They tested and confirmed the correct voltage was reaching the correct parts, however, the device still didn't turn on.

They returned the device to us for the cost of shipping. No diagnostic fee was charged in our instance. I felt that was generous of them, and decided on my own accord to publish this experience, and my satisfaction from the overall transaction. That was good business, and they did go above and beyond. I would have only given 3-4 stars due to the delays in communication. But in owning my own business, things get crazy and more than a reasonable amount of times we too have failed to communicate with clients constantly over the course of a repair.

I would send my devices to them again and would recommend Powerbook Medic as a trustworthy service provider.

On another note: I read the other reviews on google about them and want to cast some doubt on the validity of the negative reviews. After reading them, they all feel like disgruntled customers who wanted something for nothing. Providing their own parts, doing the install themselves, then bashing Powerbook Medic for the problems... that invalidates those reviews in my eyes. Providing wrong shipping address? Complaining about aftermarket parts when dealing with APPLE?? Really??? Have you ever TRIED getting original parts from apple? They OUTRIGHT refuse to sell you parts unless your under warranty, then ONLY will mail them to one of a handful certified repair centers which charge 250$ an hour to repair your product. You know why people dont call apple care? Because its cheaper to buy another... you know why Apple does that? Because they make their money off selling you NEW products, not allowing you to repair the old ones ensures more REVENUE for Apple.

Dont bash the tech for finding you a replacement aftermarket part... its Apples fault there are no originals available. at any cost. period.
