Easy friendly service rented SUP boards for guests to take to the lake, not cheap but competitive

Powder house is one of my favorite ski shops in town. Super friendly staff and great for popping in to get maintenance or a wax. If your from out of town it is right on the way to the mountain and has a good rental selection. Also a solid selection of patio furniture in the summer.

Anything you need up at the mountain you can get here. Staff was super helpful in immediately helping me find what I needed

Y all, let me tell you, there ain t no other place like this in Bend, maybe Oregon. Kyle was not only the best boot fitter I ve ever had, but the best salesmen I ve ever experienced in my life, BAR NONE. I even spoke to the manager to provide a compliment specifically to him. They have an incredible range of boots, bindings, boards and skis, as well as apparel and other equipment. If I could rate it 10/5 I would. Best experience of the year.

I've had friends rent gear and I have bought new equipment here. Every visit the staff has been friendly and knowledgeable. They suggest what gear is good for your needs, not what is the most expensive. Low pressure sales.

We were driving up to Mt. Bachelor to go skiing for a few days in January and needed to get gear for the whole family. When we realized the weather was slowing us down and that we might not make it to the store before closing, I called the shop and asked if they could wait for us. They agreed and stayed open so that our family of eight could get outfitted for skiing and snowboarding. The entire staff was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable even though we were keeping them there after quitting time. Their accommodation allowed us to hit the slopes first thing the next morning ready to go. We cannot recommend them enough. They were great!

Bought skis and boots for my wife-glad I did! Boot fitting is so important and powder house is the go to for expert advice!

Overpriced and rude-
I can't go into this shop without feeling like I'm interrupting the employees' super-important work. They reluctantly assist and while I understand that they are not in charge of pricing they are obviously tasked to upsell if possible.
Markup on local passes (NW Forest, Sno-Park) is insane, almost 20%. Go elsewhere.

Great rental department for winter sports and it's an old school Bendy biz that I have patronized since 1987.

We used to always stop here and get t-shirts when we were visiting. It's a great place to rent skis or snowboards.

I've had mixed experiences. I've been told to come in for rental skies on the phone, only to be told there aren't any when I arrive shortly after? Sometimes they are super friendly, sometimes not so much. Prices are high, but they also have a decent selection.
