Great service , homely food ! Convenient food on the motorway! Bit pricey for the meal though.

Fab!! Quick lunch with the family in a warm, welcoming location with super choices for young & old! Thank you to all at Poitin Stil.

Had a nice visit but have to say there was a few faults, kids meals were a bit over priced at 7.50 upwards which i think is a bit much if your out with the family and feeding a few , second my wife told me the ladys toilets were in a terrible state which i was suprised by cause the rest of the pub was very clean, and lastly which i was very disappointed by was when i got my tower burger which was delicious it came with frozen chips and thats just a big let down when going out for a nice meal,

Staff were lovely do and very friendly and helpfull and pints were lovely

Had Sunday lunch here, food was terrible, dry mash potatoes, burnt roast potatoes like bricks. , ham hock had mustered and pineapple on it whether u liked it or not. No flavor, nursing home food. Desert was mushy trifle and grainy. Waiting 10 minutes to be served at bar, will be not be returning. Definitely need a new chef and a new manager, awful. Keep away.

Typical local Pub. Excellent restaurant and service. And if you love steak, you should definitely order steak on a stone. Make sure you have some space for dessert. Dont miss it.

Had breakfast here yesterday morning, it was ok but a bit skimpy on the tea and toast, and wasent that hot either, the staff were pleasent enough but an extra pot of tea or slice of toast would have been nice .

Just had a quick dinner here after coming from holidays. Good atmosphere, chef serving food very friendly , reasonably priced food, staff very friendly & helpful! Clean place , certainly a visit if you like traditional Irish dinner

An poitin stil is a fabulous place to eat .. food is always gorgeous and such a selection between hot carvery to the Deli where is so many options to choose from .. Try it once you will always go back for more .

If you want the local Townie/Chav night out experience, this is the place for you. Food is mediocre; steak was awesome, chicken gross. Servers were so friendly and awesome but wildly incompetent. Good place to hook up in one night stand before heading home from holiday.

Nice place for Sunday carvery with the children. Nice food and desert. Clean and comfortable. Lots of parking also

We loved the ambience. On Saturday and Sunday they have carvery lunch. It being on N7 makes it an unmissable bar. Very Irish, they call it a museum pub.

Super nice server from Peru.. I wish I remembered her name.
She recommended the elderflower gin and soda.. so awesome, the fried chicken and the olives.
She helped us navigate the area to find local hot spots.
We really enjoyed ourselves for breakfast the next morning.

Staff is very friendly and always greet you when you arrive. Food is great and I would highly recommend to drop in.

My only complaint is the fact ive driven past this place for 20 years and never went in. Excellent breakfast. 9.95 for full breakfast, toast, soda bread and tea/coffee included. Was cooked well and we were asked if we needed more tea or toast while eating. Very nice experience, nice traditional place. Plenty of parking. Next time you're on the N7, stop here. You won't be disappointed.

Food was excellent,waitress youn blond girl very rude,she trew the sugar sachets on the table when we asked for sugar.failed to bring water to table.

In there today with a new baby and all the paraphernalia that goes with a new baby. The lady we met at the door couldn't have been more helpful! ! Amazingly helpful. Food gorgeous but it's the staff that make this place. Well done!!

Great pub and lovely staff. The reason for 3 stars is the green veg Thai curry - full of raw onion and lack of other flavours. I was really looking forward to my meal and it was huge disappointment. My partner had a burger thou and he enjoyed it.

A proper Traditional Irish pub. It looks & feels like 1. And it has traditional music to go with it. Food is top notch. Great for watching sports & hosting parties. Staff & service excellent.

The Poitin Still must be a house hold name across the country at this stage. It's been a regular visit for me throughout the years and has literally never been anything but great. Foods great, pints are great and the staff and atmosphere are often what brings you back.

Great place to stop on the way home from Dublin. Good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Enough parking spaces in the car park and no trouble getting back into the traffic afterwards. Any time we've been there, it's been fairly busy but with seats available.

Great restaurant for me.Big place, staff(young girl) was perfect and professional.She offer us this steak and I have to say, it was right choice.You can eat it rare or well done.stone is hot, so you can finish it as you want.Place was as a small labyrint, but for me it was fun.The only thing which I do not recommended is coffee.It is bad roasted coffee with not good flavor.

My husband and I are on our 7th day in Ireland. We have gone from the East, down the West coastline and this is THE BEST dinner we have had so far hands down. I had the steak sandwich and my husband had the 8 oz Sirloin steak. He normally won t order steaks from restaurants because he is disappointed but he was THRILLED with this steak. The service was so fast even when busy, and the food was to die for. You HAVE to go here if you re coming through, or staying for the night.

Very Irish place. Here you meet local people. The menu is not too long but sufficient. The dishes have very good quality at fair prices. Waiteres always kind and quick. Definitely coming back.

What a great range of food and service with a smile at great prices

Do you ever go into a premises for food you order you receive there is nothing wrong with the food itself just the disappointment of what you get along with the cost yesterday evening was 1 of those days for me myself and my daughter 10 and son 5 stopped off on return from Belfast my son 5 had the kids curry which was rice, slices of chicken and a curry sauce poured over all for 8 Euro the issue whilst there was nothing wrong with the food as he did make an effort to eat it was very spicy the chicken were slices I'm not a chef but to be honest I could make a better effort myself to me to eat out in a premises I expect something as good if not better than I am capable of making I see his mother make a korma its not that big an effort but obviously a bit of rice, couple slices of chicken and a bit of curry sause probably bought is much easier. My daughter had the kids meatballs even I found a bit hard to cut very dry and no taste left the other 2 never seen her do this before I had the burger very nice but dry as for the Liver Pate lovely as always but a handful of green leaves lettuce was again a very disappointing effort your in a very handy position for me travelling back home to Kilkenny I'm out of the main traffic and a handy spin home but I'd have to serious consider going in again very very disappointing food especially my sons but as I say notwrong with the food edible wise so hard to complain waitress was extremely nice and polite and when asked took the answer on board but unfortunately these are the people who get the dissatisfied customers and complaints

Steak on a stone is a great experience. Staff are also very allergen aware and were very willing to alter dishes to cater for dietary requirements. Love this place.

Good atmosphere, friendly and competent staff and good food and beverage, overall a very pleasant visit.

Very busy as it was Sunday. Lots if staff working. Even though there was a line waiting to be served it moved very quick. Staff friendly. Saw a woman jump the line to get dessert. She didn't ask if she could get in. Staff kept an eye in her which is good.

Great Food, Super Covid arrangements and Heineken 00 on DRAUGHT!

Food was not great got the pasta basically had no sauce and was full of grease. My partner got the lamb shank and he said the quality was poor. Very expensive. We thought the food would be excellent for the prices. Got cocktails which were tiny and expensive. Nice staff but food was not great wont be back again.

Easy enough to park in. I've eaten here for all 3 means here in different occasions and each time it's been tasty and well portioned. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Toilets are very well kept, coffee is OK, , tea is spot on and pints are really good. Really nice atmosphere here and always enjoy stopping in

Terrible professionalism, No manners with the staff. Understandably there are Covid regulations but there s is a way to enforce them. The lady actually laughed when I asked a question. Won t be back!

Food was lovely, we ate in the restaurant, we didn't get carvery. We had the steak for mains. Had the soup and ribs for starters. Amazing food, full of taste. Server was so polite. Restaurant is slightly expensive so be prepared for that!

Went here for dinner for my dads birthday,the food was lovely and the waitress found out it was his birthday so she brought him out a dessert and sang happy birthday without even being asked! Very nice!
